Shimmer and Spice

akeup and gave me the glowy/natural look I was hoping for while simultaneously making me feel like a princess. What more could I ask for? She also went above and beyond by concealing some bruising on the face of one of my family members in the wedding party after an accident leading up to the wedding, helping them feel confident and look great on the day.

ng makeup for everyone! I had my trial with Darian a few months before my wedding and she was amazing. She worked hard to find the perfect blush for me which she brought on my wedding day, and she ensured that I was so happy with the finished look by asking for feedback/talking with me about what exactly I was envisioning. I could not have been happier with my makeup and it lasted all night! Thank you to Shimmer and Spice for helping make my special day perfect!

als with her and loved her and her work from the minute we met her! Her day-of teammates Darian and Faye were equally incredible. They did makeup for 12 girls and kept totally aligned to our timeline. They prioritized each person’s personal preferences and every girl genuinely loved their makeup. We can’t recommend them enough!

were exactly what I envisioned, the colors were dramatic but suited to my complexion, and working with Penelope was so fun and easy. My trial makeup was gorgeous but not exactly what I realized I wanted—so the wedding day makeup could have made me nervous, but I felt totally heard and taken care of. She took extra time with the things that weren’t perfect right off the bat (re-gluing/placing lashes) and gave me so many opportunities to ask for changes. I also cried 5-6 times that day (happy tears) and nothing budged on my face. I felt so beautiful, so myself. And I heard the same from the 4 other women who got their makeup done by her too.

hrough potential options that would make us feel most comfortable. I was very nervous about a makeup vendor because of wanting to feel comfortable in my own skin. I tend to want to look more natural, but also want to feel glam enough for my wedding, which is a hard balance to find, and Megan struck it perfectly. Everyone in my party loved their makeup, from the moms to the people most experienced in makeup to the people who never wear any. Everyone looked so beautiful, and most of all, felt heard and cared for during the process. I wish I could get married every weekend so they can do my makeup forever!

quick to answer questions, adjust things when I was going back and fourth on the number of people etc. Brianna did an exceptional job with my make up. She made me feel so beautiful and like myself. She was so calming the whole day and had great energy. All of my bridesmaids loved their make up. Brianna came to do touch ups later in the day and was so professional and caring. I can not recommend her and Shimmer and Spice enough!

itself. And I was so thrilled with the results - I truly felt so beautiful and like I looked like myself (but better!), and my bridal party looked incredible too! I love the custom lipstick shade she created for me that I now have as a keepsake and can remember my wedding day every time I wear it. Thank you so much, Penelope and S&S!!

many weddings and never liked my make up, so it was nice to have a few trial runs with a makeup artist so they could learn my features. I looked very natural and just like ME which is what I wanted, so I was so happy that for the first time I loved how my make up looked at a wedding!

ime and stuck to the schedule I had made for the day, she also was extremely accommodating of my medical condition and made sure I was comfortable throughout the day which made me feel so at ease :) cannot recommend Shimmer and Spice enough!

so personable and professional. I really could not have asked for a better experience.

mmend them for natural glam looks. Everyone felt so light after makeup like there wasn’t any on. It was a great process with them.

rtis for my June wedding. I wanted a very specific old Hollywood aesthetic and Dani absolutely nailed it. I got so many compliments on my makeup and truly felt beautiful. It tied my whole look together, and the makeup never budged!

work with!

her was a dream! She nailed my makeup look, it was exactly what I wanted. I asked for a few slight tweaks after my trial, and she was super receptive to my feedback. She made me feel so comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for me. Briana did three generations: me, my mother, and my grandmother. We all looked and felt like the most beautiful version of ourselves! Maria was also super friendly, she did a great job on my bridesmaids and the mother of the groom. I was so pleased with Shimmer & Spice. Their professionalism, communication, and talented makeup artists were exactly what I needed on my wedding day.

and my makeup turned out AMAZING! Thank you so much to the whole team for taking such good care of me and all my girls :)

color of blush they used on her. Megan was a literal angel. I had a melt down after my trial and sent her a crazy person’s email about all the things I was stressed about. She had done my makeup just as I asked but my own insecurities, body dysmorphia and stress really took over. She sent me the kindest and most thoughtful response. She was so patient and understanding and worked me through every aspect of my makeup for the perfect result. I felt absolutely beautiful and my makeup was perfection. It lasted ALL night through tears, sweat and so many hugs.

o them - we weren't having a traditional bridal party and thankfully, they were able to accommodate and only do makeup for me. Briana was the best- right from my trial she was so easy to work with, and did an amazing job. I felt like me on my wedding day, which was so important. I would hands down recommend Shimmer and Spice if you want to feel beautiful, natural, and like yourself on your day.

process, so easy to work with! Kristyn made my mom and I feel right at home at our makeup trials. She was so patient and sweet. One thing I appreciated very much was how they took their time- they did not rush anything at all, which makes you feel so comfortable the day of! They are so supportive, and truly care. Penelope stayed with us until the end of the ceremony, and she assured that I continued to look amazing the entire day. I cannot express how ATTENTIVE she was. I appreciated that so much!! Not to mention, their talent.. It is amazing how they make you look absolutely gorgeous while still feeling very natural, not "caked on" in the least! Everything felt light, like simply an extension of your face and natural look. The bridesmaids and moms (and flower girls!) all looked beautiful and felt so good! I cannot thank them enough and I would choose them again and again!!!

e team was fantastic! Meg helped me feel like the best version of myself on such an important day!

rns and didn’t pressure me into any makeup choices that I didn’t like. I’m very pale with light blonde eyebrows and I was so scared of full glam looks, but Briana created a makeup look that felt true to me and I still felt/looked like myself on my wedding day. The shimmerandspice studio for makeup trials is so cute and clean, and their team is extremely communicative and easy to work with. Briana made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and I would recommend her to any bride!

and they worked with me through those concerns.

re both so excellent and skilled at their craft. Brianna, who did my makeup, was so patient and kind, I was so happy with both my trial appointment and my makeup on my wedding day. The rest of my bridal party also all loved their makeup and said they never looked better. Thankyou so much Brianna, Toni, and Shimmer and Spice!

g and pricing, and there is a seamless payment / project management system for their clients. I worked with Megan S. on the team and she is AMAZING. I had no idea I could look so good! My skin looked perfect, and she was incredibly receptive to feedback, ideas, and listened to my concerns with no judgement or skepticism whatsoever. On the wedding day, Megan and the second artist Briana had such calming energy! Shimmer and Spice *gets* it. Everyone looked great, everyone looked like themselves, we were ready on time, and our makeup translated well in photos. They gave me zero stress, and were there just to support me and keep things positive and light on my big day. I highly recommend working with the Shimmer and Spice team!

planning process, they were communicative and responsive to our questions and concerns. On the day of my wedding, I worked with Darien, who was lovely. She has a positive and calming presence that immediately put me at ease. I don't often wear makeup and still wanted to look like myself, which she was quite receptive to. If ever I was unsure about a particular aspect of the look, she gently guided me to make a decision without creating any pressure. I was very happy with how it all turned out! Having my makeup done by Darien was a lovely start to my wedding day. I would highly recommend her and Shimmer and Spice.

y are very communicative and organized! Such talented makeup artist!

el in earth. Obviously she made me look stunning but, she really made me feel relaxed, confident (and sexy!) wedding morning. I was able to do a trial with Dani (highly recommend). The studio is adorable but more importantly, Dani gave a through consultation to ensure I was getting the “look” I wanted. Wedding morning, Dani & Yana showed up smiling and we’re able to tweak techniques depending on the different asks of my bridesmaids, moms, aunts to make everyone look and feel so gorgeous!!! I will continue to recommend S&S (Dani and Yana) to any newly engaged bride. Thank you so much for taking care of me and my girls 🧡

day were wonderful compliments about the both of them. A special shoutout to Briana for going the extra mile with touch-ups—since we had so many first looks and portraits before the ceremony we were able to add additional time to our timeline. It was an emotional afternoon, and she truly saved us from worrying about our makeup holding up. She ensured we all felt flawless heading into the ceremony. Dani was an absolute pleasure to work with. She listened attentively to what I wanted and created the soft glam look I was hoping for while ensuring I still felt like myself. I felt so beautiful and confident, and the makeup lasted all night. My entire wedding party loved working with them—they were both so kind and easy to talk to. I can’t wait to see the pictures from our photographer because me and everyone else felt absolutely beautiful! I had a party of 10, and my wedding party included a diverse range of skin tones. Dani and Briana were incredible in ensuring everyone’s makeup matched perfectly, which is always appreciated. They were incredibly efficient, even staying ahead of schedule, which allowed us all to relax throughout the morning. There was no rushing or stressing, and we had the time to truly enjoy the day. Thank you both so much for helping make our wedding day even more special!

akeup). We went super natural and my makeup lasted all day and night. Can’t recommend enough!

to work with. She was calm, kind and positive- exactly the kind of person a bride wants to be surrounded by the morning of her big day! The one down side to Shimmer and Spice is that the studio for the trial is FAR from the city.

y high quality products and made amazing recommendations along the way. Toni was also so much fun to have around, all the bridesmaids LOVED working with her!! She was an absolute 10/10

me to book and I’m so happy I went with a natural glam company instead of trying to talk down a stylist whose default is way more makeup. I felt polished and more beautiful than ever, but still like myself.

had some experiences in the past that weren’t so great, but Briana made me feel comfortable and beautiful! I chose Shimmer and Spice because of the natural look and they delivered. Everything from the trial to the wedding day went smoothly. They worked super well with the timeline and we had no issues. I highly recommend working with Shimmer and Spice for your wedding day!

f questions during the planning process. As someone who does their makeup maybe twice per year, I felt so comfortable in my makeup done by Megan. We both believe in elevating natural beauty, which shows in her portfolio! I had provided only a couple inspiration pics during the trial, and she gave me exactly what I was hoping for, but even better! I had an idea of a lip color but could never find what I was looking for. She managed to find it on the first try, so it is now my forever lipstick color!! As a bride on her 95 degree wedding day, our makeup DID NOT BUDGE. I didn't even use my setting powder to touch up! Thank you, Megan and Ashley!!

hey provided makeup for myself, my bridal party of five, my sister, and two moms, all of whom have different ages, styles, comfort levels with makeup, and skin tones. From start to finish, Hailey and Ashley were professional, punctual, incredibly kind, and such a fun presence the morning of the wedding. They took the time to understand each person's preferences and comfort levels, ensuring everyone felt and looked their best. Kristyn, the owner, is also wonderful! I was having some skin issues before the wedding and she went above and beyond to help me. The products she recommended to me have become staples in my routine.

studio for the trial was easy to get to. Hailey did my makeup and I couldn't have asked for a nicer more talented makeup artist for my special day. She and Briana were so professional and made everyone feel so comfortable. Highly recommend!

gnize myself for my big day. They gave me everything I was hoping for! They made it easy to schedule my trial, and Dani took my feedback and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! We were working with a relatively small get-ready space on the wedding day, and the artists were super adaptable and made everything work beautifully. We had 8 girls total get their makeup done, and our artists were Dani and Kristyn. Both were fabulous, and everyone loved their makeup!

did an amazing job listening to what each individual wanted. Both Maggie and Ashley were so sweet and were a great addition to our gaggle of ladies getting ready for the wedding. I wish Maggie could do my makeup for every occasion for the rest of my life.

d getting your vision (despite me showing her inspo pics that had no consistent theme lol). Briana did such an amazing job, and I couldn't have felt prettier. My bridesmaids looked stunning and everyone was so thankful for Briana. If you want a natural look, Briana is perfect for you. I know that not every artist can accomplish a "natural" look, so I am grateful to have found S&S and Briana. Thank you for making me feel like a Bride <3

lf, just a better version of myself! She was super great to work with and made me feel very comfortable. Her team is amazing as well. I really loved that she can make your own custom lip color for you.

me look natural but also special for my wedding day. Thank you Shimmer and Spice team, and Dani!!

ible, and fun to work with. Maggie, Yana, and Maria were incredible- they made me and each of my bridesmaids feel beautiful and adjusted their makeup to each girls wants/needs with ease. Maggie (lead) was amazing to work with from my trial to my wedding day. And bonus- Maggie brought a sense of calm on my hectic wedding morning. I can not recommend Shimmer and Spice enough. They deserve more than 5 stars, and I would recommend them over and over to every bride to be!! I could not be happier that they were my wedding day makeup team!

agne and tried out my wedding look. Their store is so adorable and I chose to add on a custom lip color to bring on wedding day. This team was so fantastic with communication, sending me a timeline for day of over a month in advance and making all proposal updates super easy through their portal! Megan and the team were such a lovely presence on wedding day and made all of the girls look STUNNING! I loved my makeup so much, it was so light but still glam and truly just looked like an elevated version of myself which I really wanted instead of a ton of makeup that didn’t look like me. I would recommend this group to any bride looking to have good vibes on her day, excellent/no stress communication and a beautiful look that’s tailored to you!!

yet elevated.Would definitely recommend booking with Shimmer and Spice for any wedding makeup needs.

with my features, and she checked with me after each step to make sure I liked how everything looked (even though she did it all perfectly). My mom, who never wears makeup, was also thrilled with how she looked. I cannot recommend Shimmer and Spice highly enough!
