My family used Shannon for both my sister's November '08 wedding and my July '09 wedding. She somehow made these look as though two totally different photographers took the photos - my sister's were perfectly, wonderfully suited to her personality and venue, as were mine. We each felt that we received a fully personalized, caring experience from Shannon, and we loved having her at both ceremonies. Our guests all commented on how remarkable the shots were, and loved seeing themselves in so many.
Shannon has a critical and creative eye, and finds artistic promise in so much that you'd normally overlook. Even though this sometimes means you're going to be hiking up your dress and climbing a fence outside an old barn, TRUST HER. You'll be glad you did when you receive your proofs.
A small, but important, talent Shannon possesses is her ability to direct crowds: our formals flew by because Shannon was so adept at arranging everyone, from deaf grandmothers to toddler ring bearers, with minimum fuss. We were able to get right to the reception, while still having taken tons of shots.
By contrast, my sister wanted a very artistic set of formals spread throughout the Athens area. Shannon was ready for the challenge, and we spent literal hours around town. You can see how easy-going Shannon is; she took two very different sets of bridal demands (and let's face it, ladies, we are demanding!) and made them work.
Shannon was responsive to emails and phone calls, exceedingly punctual (she beat me everywhere, every time we met), and just so kind. She is a real dream to work with, and I can't wait to find another opportunity to work with her - baby portraits, maybe??
