We hired select receptions for our wedding and let me tell you I am so glad I did! Kirk was truly amazing throughout the whole process. I pre-recorded my song to walk down the aisl...
e as a surprise for my now husband and he helped me pull it off without a flaw. The way Kirk and his assistant worked with all my other vendors and The Sherwood Inn staff was incredible. I didn’t have to worry about anything the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music and speeches flowed seamlessly. I also had a vision for uplights and dance floor vibes and he truly did a spectacular job. Highly recommend!
Amazing service, very detail oriented and went above and beyond for us
Kirk was great to work with for our recent wedding. His online forum makes things so easy so he can take it, check in with you before the big event, and make your vision come to li...
fe. He has an eye and ear for what music will get your crowd to the dance floor and will immediately take you or guest’s suggestions/requests. He went above and beyond to make our day feel so special!
Kirk and his team are THE BEST! My husband and I are both musicians and music lovers, so I knew we wanted to have a lot of input in the music choices. He honored all of our special...
requests and made it work for our party. We had a few rather unorthodox requests - my personal favorite being "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit, which was a riot for us and our friends! Our dance floor was packed for the entire night and so many people complimented the music choices. I am so glad we went with a DJ who respected how important the music was to us. I had a lot of specific requests for cocktail hour and dinner music, and the places where Kirk filled in the gaps matched the vibe PERFECTLY!
The planning process was so smooth and easy, even with my husband and I living 7 hours away in Toledo, Ohio. The planning portal is so easy to use and a great organizational tool. It made me feel so much better knowing I had a centralized place to keep track of not only special requests but also the timeline for the ceremony and reception. Kirk and John did an amazing job keeping the flow of the reception going - they truly didn't miss a beat. We also had to change our ceremony venue a few months before our wedding, and our new location only allowed us about 30 minutes for setup. Kirk and John handled it with ease and the ceremony went off without a hitch. They were so helpful in getting the wedding party prepared for the ceremony and walking us through everything. Kirk also helped me pull off a surprise processional song for my husband, which was one of my favorite details. Knowing I could trust Kirk and the team to be on top of everything took away so much of the stress of the wedding day, and I can't thank them enough for that!
I really can't say enough good things about Select Receptions. Not only did they provide top-notch service, they are also friendly, communicative, and flexible. They were phenomenal to work with and made our night insanely fun and special. Thank you for making our wedding an absolute blast!

Every step of the process was smooth with Select Receptions. During the intro call, Kirk really took the time to listen to my vision, explain his process, and ask the right questio...
ns. I loved being able to log into the planning portal on my own time to plan out the music for the day, and the tools included a questionnaire for all ceremony and reception details (including music to play during each), timeline for important DJ announcements, and song requests with optional rankings for the reception. We had another thorough phone call about a week before the wedding to talk through any final details. We didn't find out that Kirk would not be our DJ until that phone call - that he would be sending another well-known DJ in the area Kurt Herzog, in his place do to a double booking. I only wished I had learned that sooner because I had no communications with Kurt ahead of time. That said, Kurt was fully in the loop and handled the whole event confidently and comfortably, and even threw in a few last minute additions at our request. He was professional and extremely pleasant to work with. Thanks to both Kirk and Kurt for playing a crucial role in an unforgettable evening!
Our wedding was on June 8, 2024 and since the first meeting with Kirk it felt like the perfect choice for our DJ. Kirk was genuinely interested in our music tastes and invested in ...
ensuring the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception all felt like us. The sound was impeccable and Kirk perfectly mixed the songs we had selected with hits that got the crowd going. The dance floor was packed!! We also chose to have the photobooth and the phone guest book with Kirk and they were both hits.
We couldn’t be happier with select receptions for our wedding 💖
Kirk & Tim were absolutely incredible! Leading up to the wedding they asked plenty of questions & were very accommodating to any request we had. The day of Kirk was with me (the br...
ide) getting ready before heading to the church & Tim was with Alec (the groom) getting ready. They had plenty of cameras set up for different angles, mics for audio, and a drone for some really cool shots of our house where I got ready, the church, and the venue. We've lost track of how many times we've watched our wedding video and our friends & family love it! They even provided whole video files for the ceremony, speeches, and first dances. We could not have asked for a better team to record our day!
Kirk was absolutely wonderful to work with! We used Select Receptions as a DJ and for videography for our June 2023 wedding. Highly recommend. The videography was beautiful and Kir...

light film was longer than expected. When I didnt even think anyone was paying attention, he caught a very subtle glance and smirk between me and Todd that me that absolutely makes my heart soar. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm thrilled with our decision. Both were very professional and friendly all day as well. We highly recommend Select wedding films.
We are so grateful we hired Select Wedding Films to provide videography for my daughter's wedding. They were very professional and easy to work with, making sure to contact us ahe...
ad of time to plan what was important. The day went by so fast, it was hard to really remember it all. They were able to help capture all the memories for us!! We had a unique location, outside on our farm, and Kirk truly understood the feel and theme of the day and captured it perfectly!
The love and the joy of the day really shines through, and we will certainly enjoy watching it and sharing!
We also hired their DJ service which allowed us to sit back, relax, and truly enjoy the day. They handled all of the scheduling, gathering of people, etc. All we had to do was listen to the awesome music and dance the night away! Everyone had so much fun - the dance floor was packed until the end of the night!!!

ail from the contract, music selection, lighting options and crowd pleasing. It will absolutely be a night to remember as they put in the work to accommodate and communicate very well with other vendors and the party hosts. A great selection for your event needs without a doubt.
We absolutely loved Kirk for our wedding day videography! Every question I had he promptly answered and helped me with any solutions. He was a such a positive personality to have a...
round and made the day very smooth! He was very professional and 100% knew what he was doing!!! We got our videos back in less than 4 weeks and we loved them all! He definitely did his research on the venue and had gorgeous clips of the whole venue and wedding. When we were watching our videos my husband said, “Wow I didn’t even realize he got that” for a few shots and that is exactly the reaction we hoped to have! I would 100% recommend Kirk or anyone approved by Kirk to do my wedding videography!
Kirk was awesome! Highly responsive, patient with us, flexible, stuck to the game plan and executed on wedding day. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I cannot recommend Kirk enough!! He was responsive, kind, and so great to work with. Our dance floor was PACKED and everyone said they had never been to a wedding where so many gue...
sts were dancing - and of all ages! It was so cool to see people from all different parts of our lives come together and make friendships with each other while dancing! Kirk even helped me mix my Mother Daughter dance into a favorite song of my late father to surprise my family. He was so patient and made everything we wanted possible. Don’t waste time looking at other DJs!

ding. He was extremely accommodating to everything during that time & did whatever he could to make sure our day was perfect! He did a great job with music selection and there was a group dancing the whole reception! He was extremely friendly, very quick to respond & even went out of his way with a last minute request I had & completely nailed it! You will be so happy with your decision if you book with him & he will make sure your day is perfect!
Kirk is the best in the business. We hired select receptions for our wedding and we were extremely happy with how everything went on our big day. Kirk is an experienced professiona...
l who has every detail accounted for, not to mention we had extra requests that were pretty atypical and he handled them perfectly. Select receptions’ online planning tools are so helpful and ensure that every piece of the day is accounted for and they also provide song suggestions if you need some help. Having a good DJ that keeps everything flowing smoothly and on-time is crucial for a nice wedding experience and arguably the most important role in any wedding. With that said, we had so many people contact us after the wedding that mentioned how much the enjoyed themselves at our wedding, additionally we got compliments on the DJ (Thanks again Kirk!). Kirk has put together a complete package to ensure your wedding is a success and we couldn’t be happier with our how ours turned out.

itely a dance we will never forget. The music flowed great through out the night playing our favorites from our playlist. Hands down a phenomenal DJ, we can’t thank them enough!

t things I/we weren’t sure of. The Select Receptions website was easy to use. Our wedding sound was perfect! No issues or glitches. Everyone had a blast! The music was always spot on! We highly recommend Select Receptions!
Kurt was an AMAZING DJ. He truly created the perfect, most stress free evening for us! Kurt was communicative and made sure our night flowed without being interruptive. He read the...
crowd very well and played music that flowed seamlessly to keep everyone on the dance floor. Multiple people commented to both of us that he was the best wedding DJ they've ever seen. We love music, dancing, and our event demonstrated how meaningful it is to us through his expert DJ skills. Throughout the process, we worked with Kirk to communicate the vibe we were looking for and to customize our event. He created a perfect mash-up for our first dance and helped to make our event run smoothly!
Select Receptions did an amazing job for our June Wedding. From the onset, Kirk was professional and responsive, whether it was during business hours or in the evening. He had sugg...
estions for multiple aspects I hadn't considered and helped me plan more than music! The whole evening flowed perfectly and you've never seen so much dancing at a wedding! The uplighting also totally changed the atmosphere of our room for the better. I highly recommend Select Receptions.
5 Stars! Our venue (Tailwater Lodge) Referred us to Select Receptions and we couldn't be happier. Communication during planning was great, the music selections were exactly what we...
envisioned and the dancefloor was hopping all evening. They even brought a second speaker setup for our cocktail hour on the patio. We highly recommend Select receptions djs!

th us. He offered flexibility and "read the room" - you could tell he is not only an expert, but truly loves what he does. Everyone - and I mean everyone - complimented us on the DJ. We heard "he is the best wedding DJ I've heard" and "you guys picked a great DJ!" time and time again. Highly recommend Select Receptions by CNY to anyone!
Kirk was the perfect DJ for our outdoor wedding. It was a VERY HOT day, but it was important to me to have an all our dance party on my wedding day, and that's what we had! He ke...
pt the crowd excited despite the heat, had a great attitude and was very professional. His online portal made our prep work easy, was very responsive and provided great suggestions when asked, and even helped my mom out when she wanted to provide a special song for her speech without me knowing. I highly recommend Select Receptions!
Kirk and his team were incredible while providing the music for my wedding. We are not from the area so the first time we met him was after our ceremony, and he put us at ease from...
the start. He announced the important parts but did not interject unnecessary comments. He played many of my suggestions which may have been new to him but were important to my family.
Kirk was fantastic to work with, and was mostly responsive to us. There were a couple (minor) issues the day of - he had an assistant with him who accepted some "requests" from dru...
nk friends of ours who said they were from the bride and groom, one of the songs wasn't edited "exactly" how we wanted, but aside from that he was great to work with. He was not obnoxious at all and stuck to our list we gave him.
Words cannot express the amazing job he did! Everyone had the best time and he definitely got the party started, you should see the pictures! The uplighting was beautiful, the musi...
c was great...and the photobooth...the best! I was hesitant about the photobooth at first because it was an added expense. However, that was probably one of THE BEST decisions we made. Everyone, including grandparents, loved the photobooth. And the album we have from it was just the best. The monogram dance floor lighting was perfect for showing us off as a new couple. As an out of town bride, it was difficult to pick vendors, but this was a perfect match! He always answered my million+ calls and emails and helped me plan out the order of events for the reception. It was such a beautiful wedding thanks to him!
We planned our wedding from abroad, and Kirk was so flexible and helpful throughout the planning process. The night appeared pretty much seamless with him at the helm, and he was g...
reat about addressing a variety of needs/nerves with speeches and toasts. When my now-husband flew back to the states, Kirk went out of his way to meet with him (our only in person meeting before the wedding!). We also had a pretty specific vision for what kinds of music we wanted, and that we wanted a quiet DJ. Kirk 100% lived up to that. There was not a signle song played that cleared the dance floor, and Kirk sort of faded into the background except to help with schedule transitions. He was fantastic, so professional, and got rave reviews from our other vendors. He even put up with a slightly intoxicated guest who kept calling him Captain Kirk, which pretty much makes him a hero in my eyes.
Kirk and John did a great job at our Emerson Park Pavilion wedding. I've never seen my family or friends dance so much. The introductions were perfect, as were all of the formal ev...
ents that were emceed. They even provided an outdoor wireless speaker for our cocktail hour on the back patio. Our reception went 30 minutes over because everyone was having so much fun, we didnt want it to end.
I wish I just hired select receptions off the bat before I wasted hours talking to other djs. Kirk was friendly and knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He helped guide us through things we had no idea about, and was able to really deliver on what we envisioned. My maid of honor called our reception "the best" she'd ever been to. We're very happy with our decision. :)
Many guests asked about our DJ! We planned with Kirk, and picked about 20 important songs in the online request system. From that alone, they took that and crafted a 5 hour evenin...
g that was perfectly fitting. I mean EERILY perfect. Total pros. Most importantly lots of dancing! I've been to weddings where you just feel like leaving early because of the DJ. SO GLAD we went with Select Receptions. Thanks!
We "interviewed" several Djs before deciding on Select receptions and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Packed dancefloor, no cheesy wedding tunes that you hear at every we...
dding, and the mcing was professional and non-intrusive. We felt like we were in good hands from the start. Highly recommended!
Music was one of the most important elements for our wedding, and Kirk did not disappoint! After reading all the awesome reviews, we booked Kirk right away (even without meeting hi...
m first!). We met Kirk a few weeks later, and we knew right away that we had made the right choice. Kirk was very accommodating. He offered to meet us close to our home even that meant he had to drive almost 30 min to get there. Not only that, we usually arrive early to our meetings, but Kirk beat us to it this time. I know professionalism when I see it, and Kirk is certainly one of those people. Kirk gave us many ideas for our wedding; from wedding day schedules to song choices, Kirk has made a positive contribution to our wedding every step of the way. We’ve been communicating on a regular basis throughout the entire planning process. Whenever I sent Kirk e-mails regarding questions I had for him, he always replied in an instant. No kidding! Kirk is not the loud, over-the-top DJ/MC that you would find out there. He makes the announcements when needed, letting us and our guests spend the quality time that we needed to catch up/meet. Kirk did a fantastic job at choosing the perfect songs to play for every segment of our wedding. He knew exactly how to read the mood of the reception so as to accommodate the diverse music preference of our guests. One of the biggest concerns that we had was how to get our guests dancing. But that was no problem at all - I have never seen my friends and family dance for so long and enthusiastically as they did at our wedding. Kirk certainly know how to keep the dance floor alive, and I cannot tell you how many complements we have gotten from our guest about what awesome song selections we had! Kirk, you have my highest recommendation! You did a phenomenal job at giving us a fun and elegant wedding at Mirbeau Inn & Spa. We cannot thank you enough for what a wonderful memory you have helped us to create! Love, Janet (+ K & Bagel)

the flow of our wedding. and was very accommodating in providing the music we requested. No matter how obscure the artiest was. Everyone enjoyed the evening and I would highly recommend his services to anyone planning their wedding. Or for any other event that they would want DJ services

oke on the phone with him I was immediately at ease. He was organized, helpful, and nice. I truly felt that he wanted our day to be perfect and he listened to what we wanted our day to be like. He kept us on schedule throughout the whole reception without being overbearing and the music was awesome all evening long! I would HIGHLY recommend using him for any event where you want your guests to have a great time!

ding the right DJ seemed like a huge decision. I did not want the line dances or the same music you hear at every wedding. I wanted music that I loved to dance too. CNY Select DJs gave me exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford. Not only that but I had mentioned to the DJ that my new sister-in-law had made our wedding cake and he remembered and said a thank you on our behalf over the mic that was just perfect when he introduced the cake cutting. He also got there early and had music playing even though our guests were not supposed to arrive for another hour and a half. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You CNY Select DJs!!
Kirk did an excellent job keeping the wedding/party moving along. We had such a great time. I didn't even take advantage of the services he provides so you can select your music. I...
only provided a small amount of music that we wanted to hear. He chose everything else. I would not question using CNY Select Djs when I am in New York State.
Kirk, from CNY Select DJ Services was wonderful. Being the bride and unsure of how our new family would co-mingle for the day I was concerned with our choice of music and interacti...
on with our guests. I wanted to have our wedding fun and interactive. Kirk was able to bring fun ideas into our reception and make our guests comfortable while encouraging them to get up and dance. Even though many of our guests opted not to dance the ones that chose to had a blast while the ones that watched enjoyed the show. Kirk was professional yet personable and was able to learn what made my husband, Bill and I special and unique. Kirk was amazing and hosted a wonderful wedding for us! We would not have had such a smooth wedding without Kirk!
