We were absolutely thrilled with the photo and video coverage provided by SD Photo Studio on March 8, 2025, for our wedding. We booked 8 hours of full-service coverage and invested...
$6,000 in total—and let me tell you, every penny was worth it.
Here’s what stood out:
The team was incredibly professional and easy to work with from start to finish. Communications were timely, clear, and friendly.
Their attention to detail and artistry truly shone through—each shot beautifully captured the emotion and atmosphere of the day.
The final gallery and video delivery were impressively fast, and both exceeded our expectations.
All around, SD Photo Studio delivered exceptional value, artistry, and service. We’re so grateful they were part of our day—and we couldn’t recommend them more highly
In a sentence: Chris is EXCELLENT at what he does, and he was one of our favorite vendors for our July 2025 wedding.
Chris Wood is an exceptional wedding photographer who we found...
via Abbey Catering & Events, and I could not be happier with the experience. His calm demeanor help set us up for success in capturing the day, even during high-energy moments (think about kids running around, live band, multiple outfit changes). Chris effortlessly wrangled large groups of people, ensuring everyone was organized for formal shots without any stress, all while making the process feel natural and fun.
One of his standout strengths was in capturing candid moments that really helped us to relive our wedding from our guests’ perspectives, from laughter with friends to quiet glances between family members. He also did a great job capturing our tea ceremony!
In addition, we really valued his expertise in timing our sunset portraits, making the most of golden hour while also being efficient and helping us get back to the party without missing too much time!
We are truly grateful for his professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to bring out the best in every setting. He had a fast turnaround time, overdelivered in terms of the number of photos, and gave us some great gems worth printing in large format for our home. I enthusiastically recommend Chris Wood to any couple looking for an expert--he was a joy to work with.

wledgeable. He made us feel at ease and truly took the time to understand our vision for the day.
On the wedding day, Chris and his team were absolutely amazing — calm, organized, and never intrusive. They captured every special moment so naturally and beautifully, from the emotional ceremony to the fun on the dance floor. The portraits on the La Jolla cliffs at sunset were breathtaking and will be treasured forever.
The final gallery blew us away. Every photo felt full of life, emotion, and artistry. Chris has a true talent for storytelling through photography, and we are so grateful we chose SD Photo Studio to capture our day. Highly, highly recommended to anyone getting married in San Diego!
Chris is an absolutely fantastic videographer. He did two video shots for our wedding - a 7 minute highlight reel and a 1.5 hour cut that had all the dances, toasts, etc. Just watc...
hing it allowed me to relive my wedding day all over again and I had a huge smile on my face the entire time! Chris is professional, easy to work with, and responsive. He even brought a drone to get some amazing aerial footage for the videos. I felt like Chris' work really brought our wedding day to life and I would work with him again in a heartbeat. Thank you Chris!!
We found Chris through our venue, the Cuvier Club and he was on their list of preferred vendors. It turns out he earned that spot! Not only did he communicate clearly and effective...
ly with us (meeting us for beers and planning two months before the wedding) but he also knew our photographer and coordinated with her and her team beautifully on the day of the event.
My wife and I would highly recommend Chris and SD Photo Studio to any couple looking for high quality professional videography! We could not be happier that we have such an amazing video (and awesome highlight video) for us to re-live our special day.
Chris, our videographer, was absolutely amazing! During the wedding, he captured all of the special moments we wanted and never once got in the way. Guests even said later on - "I ...
didn't even know you had a videographer!"
The turn around on our highlight reel was within two weeks of the wedding (perks of a February wedding). We loved the quality- picture, sound & overall artistic talent he brought to the clip. We loved it so much we decided to order the full documentary video of the wedding too- including all the speeches, full ceremony, etc.
Highly recommend for your wedding!

e looking for. We got married on the beach so, for my husband, a drone was a MUST. On our wedding day Chris was early (!) and extremely professional. He worked well with our photographer and was great at bouncing back and forth between boys and girls getting ready before his assistant came. We got our 5 minute highlight reel 3 weeks after the wedding and can't wait to see the full video. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone looking to capture their perfect day! 10/10!

Chris is extremely easy to work with. He listened to our needs and provided guidance and support in the effort to give us the shots we requested. He is extremely communicative, ...
which for my Type-A personality was very reassuring as wedding planning is quite stressful. But the photography was one aspect of the wedding I didn't worry much about because of Chris' professionalism, communication-style and sheer talent.
I highly recommend Chris for any event. He turned around a subset of proofs to me within 1-day as my husband and I needed to get announcements made quickly. We had our photo announcements within a week of our wedding.
Chris' eye for composition is stellar. And he's very original. I wish I could show you the pics he took of our rings. It took me a number of seconds to realize where he took the pics of our rings as the wedding was in our home. He placed the rings in this fountain that we have and the way he represented the rings, it took awhile for me to realize he placed the rings in the fountain. He's so imaginative.
Every aspect of my dealings with Chris for our engagement photos and wedding photos was easy, easy, easy. I can't wait for another event so we can work together again.
Oh yea... his pricing is competitive!
