Schedel Gardens is hands down one of the most beautiful places for your wedding day! Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the acres of gardens are, and Veronica and her staff will go above and beyond to help keep the day running smoothly. Through the planning process, Veronica was very responsive and timely with her communication. Day of, the gardens staff and bartenders were incredibly friendly and helpful and kept the evening flowing so smoothly. The golf cart provided was very helpful for guests and made moving around the gardens for photos, or out to the parking lot, very easy. Despite the heat of an August wedding, it was the most perfect day and the gardens have now become one of my new favorite places!

The 17-acre garden estate of Schedel Arboretum & Gardens in Elmore, OH, is the perfect venue for a dream outdoor wedding ceremony and pavilion reception. The new Marilyn Bandfield pavilion (2025) can accommodate up to 300 guests. Schedel Arboretum & Gardens (SA&G) features several beautifully landscaped and versatile spaces for ceremonies located in either the Traditional Garden or the Japanese Garden areas. The gardens feature upper and lower level gardens. Golf cart shuttles are available for guests that may need assistance. May-October is SA&G typical wedding season, other options can be available. Every year over 8,000 annuals are planted for a stunning landscape and back drop for your photo session. More intimate receptions can be hosted at our indoor facility, The Brown Welcome Center. This space can accommodate up to 80 guests comfortably.

lmore, OH turned out to be the perfect venue. The events coordinator for the gardens, Veronica Sheets, was so very helpful, making suggestions, offering advice, providing contact information for potential vendors. Schedel Gardens is the subject of many online photos capturing the four seasons of beauty. Since the bride and groom live on the west coast, their first visit to the gardens was the day before their wedding! We had tentatively selected a spot for their wedding ceremony, but they were given a tour of the garden before their rehearsal to make sure that spot would still be their first choice. We were a bit nervous about an outdoor wedding in early May, but were blessed with a perfect day. Thanks to Veronica and her staff, everything went as planned. They were always a few steps ahead of us, looking to where their assistance might be needed. The fact that our guests told us what a great time they had proves that. Most important, the bride and groom enjoyed their evening in the spotlight. I'm very grateful to all the help I received from the folks at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. lf was beautiful, and the director did a wonderful job in setting up the trellis (she did the decorations for us!!!) and the ceremony site itself. If not for those strict guidelines, I wouldn't have been as put off. Otherwise, we had an amazing wedding and I wouldn't have changed a thing about where the ceremony was located.
