Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys

get what you pay for, and that's why Ken Schaffer should be your first and only call. I've experienced enough bad DJs over the years to know I wasn't leaving my daughter's wedding to chance. I was paying for the wedding. I happily let the bride and her mother choose the venue, caterer, flowers, and photographer, but the DJ was my decision. With more than 35 years of radio and professional DJ experience, Ken Schaffer made our wedding absolutely perfect. From coordinating seamlessly with our family, the caterer, and the venue to ensure everything ran flawlessly, to creating an unforgettable father-daughter dance, Ken kept the celebration moving from start to finish. He had everyone smiling, singing, dancing, and wanting more. Don't take chances with the one person responsible for the flow and energy of your event. Call Ken Schaffer—you'll be glad you did.

ng. What impressed us most was how quickly and seamlessly he navigated our last-minute switch from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor one due to the rain. Between Kevin’s expertise and the fantastic Photo Booth attendants, the night was flawless. We walked away with memories that will last a lifetime!

st! We are still getting compliments from our guests! Dave was our DJ and everything went according to plan and honestly even better! Highly recommend Schaffer Sounds for your wedding!

went incredibly smooth. Dave really listened to what we wanted — our guests kept complimenting on how great thr playlist was. There were also a few things we wanted to mention like our audio guestbook, a group photo and a special birthday, and Dave didn’t miss a beat!

ssitates a negative review. The whole vendor seeking process can be overwhelming, and the DJ was a vendor we weren’t seeking anything over the top from.

tly what we wanted. Could not recommend more!!!!

eeches to dinner and the dance floor, everything was seamless. The transitions were perfect, the energy was incredible, and he kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Dave took the time to understand exactly what we wanted — our vibe, our must-plays, and even the songs we didn’t want to hear — and delivered it all flawlessly. He read the crowd perfectly and made the night flow effortlessly. The music, sound, and photo booth were top-notch, and his professionalism and personality made working with him so easy and fun. Some guests even begged him to keep going after the wedding ended! So many of our guests told us it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to, and we owe so much of that to Dave. If you’re looking for a DJ who genuinely cares about making your day unforgettable, book Schaffer Sound Productions — you won’t regret it!

ety of music played. Needless to say, Schaffer Sound made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. They have an online portal for you to write down your music choices, along with every little detail you want included in the reception. Chris met with my husband and I to review our selections a few weeks before the wedding, and our DJ, Dave, met with us a few days before the wedding to finalize our music, fine-tune the timeline of the night, and get us excited to dance. Dave had everyone on the dance floor all through the night, and our main compliment post-wedding was just how much FUN everyone had! I'll gladly recommend Schaffer Sound to everyone I know -- they helped create the fun and energetic wedding of our dreams.

ou so much for such a great night.

ons perfectly. It was just dancing the entire time! The after party was also amazing!

sional, and so helpful. The online portal through Schaffer was simple to use and made it easy for us to plan and customize everything. Chris took the time to listen to all of our music requests and truly delivered on our vision. He played an amazing mix of songs that kept everyone dancing and having the time of their lives all night long. Our guests still rave about how fantastic the music was at our wedding—it was the perfect soundtrack to our celebration! If you’re looking for a DJ who will make your event unforgettable, we wholeheartedly recommend Chris at Schaffer Sound. You truly won’t regret it!

nd the photo-booth was spacious and super easy to use. Chris was so personable and every single guest absolutely loved him and the atmosphere he created. The dance floor was bumping all night! We would recommend them a million times over!

a better experience!

I asked. He made sure that I knew about any speeches that weren’t scheduled to make sure I was comfortable with whomever wanted the microphone at some point. The PLAYLIST MY GOD IT WAS PERFECT.

ss in thinking about song selection and the timeline of the reception. At our reception, he played everything we requested and made great selections of high-energy songs that fit our vibe all night. Throughout the reception, and the next day, everyone was raving to us about how good he was and how good the sound was. He also created some surprise moments with us and our crowd that we will always remember. We also used Schaffer's photobooth package at our reception and the props were the best I've seen at any wedding, everyone loved them. 10/10 for the full experience

'm so glad she did! Chris was easy to talk to! He was friendly, professional and made us feel comfortable. They didn't push any extra ticket items or agendas which was huge bc we went with a basic package and yet they treated us with utmost respect and courtesy. The day of, Kevin, was awesome! He did exactly what I asked him, which was just get the party started and keep it going! He did just that!! He was so good and he was very easy to talk to when I had requests. Totally trusted his professional insight to timing and flow of the reception. Very grateful Schaffer Sound worked so hard to make sure we and our guests had a great time! Definitely would recommend them!!

oved the photo booth!

took care of everything without a single hiccup. The best part was our DJ, Michael Rose, who was exceptional. We had a tricky crowd with a mix of generations and song requests in 2 additional languages other than English. Despite that, he handled it perfectly, reading the crowd and perfectly matching and setting the mood. I'm so glad we had him as our DJ. If you want a seamless experience, I highly recommend Schaffer Sound and asking for Michael Rose to be your DJ.

ey Prince, played so many songs that we and our guests loved that we hadn't even thought to include on our "must play" list. He did a great job reading the room and interpreting our music tastes. He was professional and attentive throughout the day and helped direct the flow of the event.

or to the wedding, they were super communicative and the portal was very easy to use. We loved having a say in what songs to play during what parts of the day and everything played out perfectly. We had Dave for our reception and he was awesome. Would highly recommend hiring them for your special day!!

layed to get everyone up, dancing, and singing! They honored my “must play” songs and my “do not play” sounds. It was the best time. Dave and Mike were our two DJs they were very professional and accommodated all of our needs/wants. Leading up to the wedding, we had a planning meeting and week of phone call, going into the wedding I felt completely confident in all the plans for the day, they were very reassuring and communicative. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Schaffer Sound, I highly recommend using them for your wedding or event!

the reception to open dancing. Chris also did a fantastic job making us feel comfortable with all of the prep leading up to our wedding day. We're so happy we went with Schaffer Sound and would recommend them to anyone!

gs that we discussed prior to the big day that didn’t happen at the wedding (we requested not to play the full “first dances” and they were, etc.) but nothing was significant enough to be an issue at all. DJ Mike was awesome and I’m really glad we got him for our event. We would definitely recommend Schaffer Sound

time everything so perfectly - our ceremony music, intro music, first dances, cocktail/dinner hour and reception music were all spot on and seamless. What stood out to us the most was how Scott was able to take our song requests and taste in music and skillfully adapt to the mood of the crowd. The reception was an absolute blast and the dancefloor stayed packed until the end because Scott's timing and song selection was on point. We even skipped dessert so that we didn't have to leave the dancefloor! We had the absolute time of our lives and can't thank Scott and Schaffer Sounds enough for an unforgettable celebration and memories that we will cherish forever.

ust like we envisioned! We would recommend Schaffer Sound, specifically Chris, to everyone!

ve never seen a dance floor so packed the entire night at a wedding full of all age groups. Dave was absolutely incredible. He was professional, friendly, reliable, and very talented. He knew exactly the songs the crowd wanted without even being asked. Dave even took some videos of our night including the last song where everyone circled around us and sent them to me the next day. While the price we paid to have them as our DJ for the night was extremely reasonable, I would have paid even more to book them, they are THAT good! He made our night absolutely perfect and I have him to thank for how much fun our guests had! Thank you to Schaffer Sounds - you are the BEST in the business!

questions efficiently and truly went above and beyond. From our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and the reception- it was perfect. Our guests raved about the music and how much fun they had and that is all thanks to Chris at Schaffer Sound. We can not recommend them enough!

make our wedding a success! Schaffer Sound DJs had a great prep worksheet for us to fill out, detailing the type of music we like and wanted at our wedding, must plays and do not plays, etc. That helped us think through what we wanted, and articulate that clearly. As I've read in other reviews here, it definitely would have been better if we could've met with our specific DJ before the wedding, to talk through the timeline and how we wanted certain items to go (announcing a family photo moment, announcing the end-of-the-night send off) - we did have a meeting about this, but that was with Chris, who was not the DJ at our wedding. That would've helped to avoid a few small snags, but frankly I was having such a good night that those things didn't bother me during the wedding. The other thing that I wish I'd specified beforehand was how I wanted our ceremony sound set up. There was a big microphone stand in front of me and my husband during our wedding, which got in the way of photos and wasn't really necessary, as we were handing the microphone between us, the officiant, and readers. That was a bit disappointing, but could have been easily resolved by specifying more clearly what I wanted, or by having someone check out the set up before the ceremony began. I really appreciated how much our DJ tried to work in requests from our guests. We had a "I promise to play if the DJ plays..." question on our invitation, and he worked a surprising number of those requests into the night, which was really fun! Overall, Schaffer Sound DJs did a great job, and I'm very glad we chose them to DJ our wedding! Would highly recommend.

needs.

ception felt all night!

e on the dance floor the entire reception. Our guests have not stopped raving about how incredible the DJ was. A majority of our guests/friends are millennials and everyone had a blast!

He also checked in periodically with my husband and I to make sure we were enjoying ourselves :-)

hare 'must play' and 'do not play' songs - which the DJ stuck to! We also had a planning call a few weeks ahead of the wedding to make sure everyone was on the same page, so we were confident it was going to be a great night. Super professional and easy to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Philly area!

g process was flawless. Dave was our DJ at the wedding and he was INCREDIBLE! All the songs we requested were played and we got so many compliments from our guests about the DJ. The dance floor was packed all night!!

g music! Would definitely recommend to everyone!

e read the crowd well and constantly kept them on their feet. We had such a lovely time with him. The only thing that did not work well was the microphone at the ceremony. Our officiant asked to do a sound check before the ceremony and he said no, and then there was a ton of feedback and cutouts during the ceremony. Otherwise, it was great working with Schaffer Sound from planning to shutting down the party!

rgy reception and Dave delivered! It was such an added plus that he was very experienced with every wedding facility we considered, and him and the team at The Ballroom at The Ben worked perfectly in sync with each other. Anytime I called/text them before the wedding they either picked up the phone or called/text me back very quickly. They were always known for their legendary customer service but I got to see it first hand and it is so impressive. Me and my new husband would recommend them to anyone and have already given their name to several of our friends who are engaged! Thank you again Dave and thank you to Chris in the office for answering my questions as well. It was the wedding day of my dreams and me and my husband are so grateful!!!!

the party going! Any time we needed information related to our guests, Mikey had no problem relating the message. Great communication from all the staff at Schaffer!

e times through the night, and he was flexible with making some last minute adjustments to our party introductions with no problem! The dancefloor at our wedding was lively the whole night through, and it's all thanks to Chris and the Schaffer team.

ce floor full all night long. Highly recommend and wish we could do it all over again.

re getting compliments all night!! Everyone loved Alice In Chains for dinner music! Very accommodating!

d and everyone commented on how great the music was. Chris knows how to entertain a crowd and keep the energy flowing.

night, and we can’t thank him enough. We told Dave that with the exception of one or two slow songs that we wanted to dance the night the away, and he delivered. Never was there a lull in the party. Working with Schaffer Sound was beyond easy from start to finish. Chris was so great at answering any questions with super quick response times. He made sure our planning forms were filled out correctly, and was kind enough to note updates just a few days before our wedding. Dave worked with our venue to ensure that the our first dance songs were played exactly when we asked. Dave also arranged a surprise intro for my dad that NO ONE knew about. He also made sure our outside ceremony sound was flawless, and was a true hero outside in the very chilly 40 degree weather. Our cocktail hour music was also spot on with classic rock songs we loved that weren’t appropriate for reception dancing. Dave was engaging, charismatic and took requests from family members. He made sure our reception was personal, and a blast all at the same time. We loved it, thanks again Dave and Chris! Hire Schaffer Sounds for your wedding, you won’t regret it!
