Say It With Sugar created the perfect wedding cake for our big day! Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, but it tasted incredible too. Our guests kept complimenting how deli...
cious it was, which is rare for wedding cake!
The entire process was easy and enjoyable, and they truly brought our vision to life. We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out and highly recommend them for weddings and special events.
First of all, I had to drive to the establishment, because after 7 calls that I placed, I received a busy signal. That was the first red flag. But, I decided to go in person despit...
e this.
I went in today, as a new customer excited to have a custom cake made for my child's birthday. I waited patiently while one of the owners, the man, had a LENGTHY conversation with a customer about everything, including hair. After the customer left, I was the only customer there. Neither owner spoke or welcomed me in to the establishment. The male owner placed a flavor list on a counter in front of me, and stated, "here is the flavor list", and walked away. There were multiple opportunities to say something to me. But, it didn't happen. It was awkward considering i was the only customer there. I felt ignored. I provided the following feedback to a representative to give to the owners that when a customer comes in, especially if it's the only one and it's not busy, at least speak to acknowledge the customer. Just in case this feedback wasn't communicated to the owners, I'm communicating it here. There is a review of this location that is eerily similar to mines that from the same race. From the looks of it, the owners only speak/talk to customers of a certain color.
If I'm treated as if I'm invisible and unwelcome, guess what, my business and money will be too.
I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again and neither will my friends, family, huge social media following, nor my company. Well, I'm off to spread the word about my experience. If I could give 0
stars, I would.
Karma pays extravagantly.
Good day!
We ordered the cake sampler and between me, my (now) husband, and kids, we had a tasty but difficult time choosing which cake flavor(s) to get!

I have never been so surprised at how terrible customer service is from a private baker. I was trying to schedule a tasting but needed a particular week that was a few days out fro...
m 1 year before my wedding date. Well their policy is 1 year out or they will not work with you. Such a ridiculous policy considering we just wanted to taste the cake, not even book. They of course offered to take my non-refundable deposit in advance and have me try later but how does that help if we don't like the cake. Not only would I be out the charge for the tasting but I would also lose my deposit. I don't get why you would not be flexible with customers especially when you consider the amount of money you are about to drop in buying a cake. They did not give a good impression of someone we would like to work with, especially if this is how they will treat customers. What if something went wrong, would they be willing to fix it then, no clue. Needless to say we are looking elsewhere.
I cannot say enough how AMAZING of a job Say it With Sugar did for my husband and I's wedding cakes!!! They were not only beautiful, but delicious!! Our wedding cake and groom's ca...
ke was everything we could have asked for and more! They were awesome to work with and super helpful and creative in helping to design my husband's grooms cake! They helped make everything he likes fit into a single cake that we will remember forever! They were also prompt and professional! We still get compliments to this day on both of our cakes! Highly recommend them for every special occasion! Cannot wait to use them again!
I used to think that this place was the go to place but when it comes down to making sure their customers are taken care of they completely drop the ball. We have ordered multiple ...
items from here in the past and both times that we have ordered cakes they both have shifted by the time they got the the destination. The first time it was for our wedding that was delivered by y'all and the most recent time was my daughters 1st birthday over the weekend that my wife brought home. Just the same I spoke to Trey 6/19 as there was no one to help me Saturday or Sunday and as a manager he is not very capable of conflict resolution and definitely forgot that he is in a customer service business. I am truly glad that the Kroger bakery in Rockwall could help us out on such a short notice to still get a unicorn smash cake for my daughters birthday party.
Here you'll see our wedding cake at an obvious tilt. This was the one they delivered. We honestly thought it had to be a fluke. And then the unicorn smash cake that completely separated from the bottom inch of cake and melted down into itself during the 32 minute drive home on a flat surface with AC blasting on the coldest setting. But as Trey says, both of these are clearly our (the customers') fault. Seems logical.
Our wedding cake was AMAZING! It tasted soooooo good, making my soul very, very happy. The flavors we picked were carrot and strawberry for the bridal cake, and german chocolate fo...
r the groom's cake and all three flavors were the bomb. Not only that (which to me is the only thing that matters about cake) but they came out perfectly, presentation-wise. They were very flexible regarding our design for both cakes, even when we would call (a good few times) to change something. Overall, definitely recommend, whether its for a wedding or another special event, they do it all.
Cake was wonderful and beautiful. My only complaint was the color that was used for little swirls all over the cake. I had chosen a purple color but ended up with a gray/dark black...
purple color that didn’t match. None of my guest noticed but I did. Other than that I would recommend!
We got three cakes for my wedding from Say it with Sugar and we loved them all; one was the wedding cake, one the grooms cake, and a small gluten-free cake for our celiac family me...
mbers. The whole night we kept getting compliments on our cakes that they were both beautiful and tasted amazing. The strawberry cake is to die for! They're a bit more expensive than other shops but it's worth every penny to have the best cake you can get! The cake was one of the most important parts of my wedding and I was not disappointed. I will keep going back for any of our confection needs! Highly recommend them!! Also their gluten free cake is almost better than their normal cake!
Let's start with the tasting appointment where you are able to taste SO MANY cake flavors - it was awesome! They were so patient with me while I kept going back and forth about the...
design during our appointment and suggested things when I was lost, the cake turned out perfect and the flavor was not comparable! I am the PICKIEST cake eater when it comes to "white/wedding" cake and this is the ONLY bakery that I found after easily 15 tries. They are so reasonably priced, deliver for a great price and do impeccable designing. A+ vendor!!
Loved the planning process! Helped me create my dream cake and are making many pecan pies for us as well! Great prices, great cake, great people!
it was beautiful and yum and affordable.
I had ordered the wedding and the groomsman cake from here. both were amazing. everyone loved the chocolate on chocolate trunk cake. and my wedding cake was italian creme with rasp...
berry filling. everyone loved the cake. it arrived on time and it was gorgeous.
The cupcakes were so wonderful but the employees were hard to work with. We wanted plain cupcakes, nothing special and once they found out it was a wedding they told us they were g...
oing to charge us extra (even though the cupcakes were exactly the same and weren't going to change at all!). We ended up calling back a few days later and ordering them to be picked up (just the normal cupcakes) so they wouldn't know where they were going. The cupcakes were an absolute hit but I thought it was outrageous that they were going to charge extra for exactly the same thing just because of the event title.
THE CAKE IS AMAZING!! I cannot tell you how many guests I saw at our wedding eating MULTIPLE pieces of cake, and how many asked me where the cake came from. Even several of my othe...
r wedding vendors (who go to weddings all the time) were amazed at how wonderful the cake was and asked me where I got it. You won’t be disappointed with Say it With Sugar!
The cakes from Say it with Sugar tasted delicious and was very moist. We barely had any cake leftover because the guest ate it all. They were one of the few bakeries who had a crea...
m that tasted like the Bailey’s liquor and had great ideas for the groom’s cake. They are not afraid of a challenge and love new ideas. When the wedding cake was short on lace, they called me so I was aware but reassured me they had fixed it. When I saw it, you couldn’t tell there was anything wrong with it. They are very professional and reliable.
My wedding and grooms cake were incredible! Not only did they taste amazing, they were perfectly designed. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the carrot cake, german chocolate...
and vanilla cake! So happy I went with Say it with Sugar!! Thanks!!
This was probably the best wedding cake I've ever had. We had so many people recommend this bakery after we got engaged, and after our taste test, there was no need to go anywhere ...
else. We brought them pictures from the internet of how we wanted our cakes to look, and they did an amazing job of replicating the pictures. Our cakes were gorgeous, and tasted just as good as they looked. We got so many compliments. Well worth every penny.
I am a very picky bride with over the top expectations. No one ever seems to live up to my expectations. With all of that being said, Say it with Sugar blew me away!
