Saturns 8 Professional DJ Services

anks to Andy. From the first call we had with Andy, we felt like he was an old friend. He was always able to answer our questions quickly, meet up, or take our call. Andy totally got our music & dance preferences, he knew the style we were going for, and he knocked it out of the park. Our family preferences ranged from reggae to Lizzo to the Grateful dead - and somehow, somehow, Andy was able to play it all, smoothly, so that it fit and literally kept our entire party on the dance floor from the first song until the very last. Thank you, Andy for making our dance party the most epic we could have imagined!!!

day of the wedding because I knew he was going to KILL IT and he did! Our crowd was fairly diverse, and our directions for the music vague and self-contradicting. I wanted mostly current music and some classics. It was a really tough assignment, actually: we had a smaller wedding on a Sunday night and the mantra I heard from Andrew was that we were going to make guests forget it was Sunday so they’d party like it was Saturday- and we all did! Andrew knows so much about music, I'm confident he could put together a playlist for any audience and circumstances. He was the talk of the event, actually- our guests from NYC, Minneapolis, Portland, Austin and elsewhere could not stop talking about how great the music was and none of us could leave the dance floor without getting sucked back in by another great song. Hire 'um, I'm telling you.

best wedding DJ out there. On the day of our wedding Andy was on time, professional, and had everything set up as we discussed. He was always accommodating to our needs and read the crowd like a champ. At the very end, people were asking for an encore, and of course we obliged. He was a hit! Do yourself a favor and book them now! You won’t regret it :)

e more expensive than the big box DJ company but you get so much more. The month before the wedding we had a long phone call with Andrew and left with homework. He made us think about what style & songs we wanted for all aspects of our ceremony & reception. The homework took much longer than we expected but we are so happy we did the work. We went with folk music for the ceremony, alternative/indie for the cocktail hour, Broadway musicals for the dinner & everything for the reception. Andrew pulled everything together & filled in all the blanks. We had so many great comments about the music. The uplighting Andrew provided in the space really showed off the brickwork in the building our reception was in. We cannot say enough great comments about how hardworking, perceptive to peoples music choices on the dance floor & clearly very experienced Andrew is!

, he sat down and walked through the entire timeline of events with us to ensure everything would go off without a hitch. He really listened to what we wanted and curated the perfect playlist that felt unique to us. Even our more obscure requests made it in! During the wedding, he worked closely with our other vendors to coordinate all the many little details so we didn't have to worry about a thing. You won't find a cooler, funnier, more genuine DJ than Andy. Oh, what a night!

time! Not only was Andy an amazing DJ, he was also a great MC. He worked with the venue staff to make sure things were going on time and made sure our guests knew what was happening. There was never any confusion on what we or our guests were supposed to be doing. The sound system and lighting were also amazing, you could hear the speeches clearly and the venue was lit up perfectly. Before the wedding we met with Andy a few times to go over details and what our day was going to be like, which definitely helped us understand what the night was going to be like. With all those amazing things, I think some of the highlights were having vinyl, classic rock at the cocktail hour, and our bridal party grand entrance. We worked with Andy to create a unique and super cool entrance for our bridesmaids and groomsmen, and our entrance too. I have gotten so many compliments about it, and it was one of the highlights of our night. Thanks Andy for everything you do, and for making our day just a little extra special. We couldn't have thrown such an amazing party without you!

great our DJ and music were. Andy was also a great MC – he kept the day moving right on schedule and politely reminded us of things when we forgot them (like to go take sunset pictures if we still wanted to, which we did). Andy’s sound equipment and uplighting were super cool as well! Andy was great to work with throughout the planning process – he really cares about his clients and making their weddings exactly what they want, and he obviously loves music and awesome dance parties. Thank you Andy for your great work and for making our wedding so much fun!! :)

r big day! He kept the day running smoothly and exactly how we wanted. We were planning from quite a ways away (Alaska) and he would call and chat with us and answer any questions we had. He was also very prompt! If I text him a question I would have an answer in what seemed like immediately! I would 100% recommend Andy!

well on our wedding night and catered the playlist to what got our guests up and dancing. Our families are definitely on the shy side, but still he was able to get them up and moving. We were left very impressed with his attention to detail. He had great recommendations for what songs to play during different parts of the day as a result of his extensive experience with weddings, and we ended up using some of those songs. His professionalism was outstanding, and I cannot stress this enough! He was very easy to work with, and in fact he was very helpful to us throughout the night by helping us to stay on schedule. If you are looking for a DJ whose number one priority is to give you an incredible day with no issues (as far as what is in his control), Andrew is the perfect DJ for you! He went above and beyond for us, and we are very appreciative of the work he did. We are so happy to have found him!

professional and informative. He makes sure to keep you in the loop and plan along the whole way. Coordination- -We were out of town, so Andy spent several phone calls with us ahead of time for planning -Andy met with our Vendors to plan for a flawless night. Ie. Worked with officiant for cues on when to start music for the ceremony and such. Worked with photographer to get us where we need to be and kept the party alive -Andy had a great idea to play our “last song” and follow it up with an encore which drove everyone crazy. It was a great way to end the night. Music- -Andy took our list of requested songs and created a great playlist to keep the party going -He honored our must play songs, but tweaked the playlist through the night to keep the party moving. Before straying much, he approached us and asked for permission to roll with the crowd -Sound quality was great for both the indoor and outdoor portions. Performance- -Andy was punctual. He had everything set up and tested with time to spare -His lighting equipment was top notch and a great touch. (He also offered to work with photographers to make sure they could get the shots they needed) -Sound equipment was all amazing -Andy is very friendly and interactive with the guests as needed. He doesn’t steal the show- He makes it about you. However, he works great with guests to make sure everyone is happy -Andy is full of great ideas to pump everyone up—He has clearly been doing this a while and is amazing at what he does. Overall, I do not have a SINGLE bad thing to say about Andy and Saturns 8. Hiring him for our wedding was one of the best decisions of the night. If you’re looking for a DJ, please do yourself a favor and don’t look any further.

nd Dave were extremely energetic and professional-- we had multiple meetings beforehand with Andy to ensure everything at our wedding was exactly the way we wanted. On our wedding day, he arrived early, set up the uplighting, and checked in with my husband to go over our timeline to ensure we stayed on schedule. Everyone had a blast and we HIGHLY recommend Saturn's 8 DJ to everyone for any event!!!!

ge or switch around. Being so experienced as a DJ, Andy helped us understand the ideal flow of the night and what types of songs really get the crowd going. He rescued us more than one time that evening and was a master at keeping on schedule. My husband and I loved his fun and friendly personality and could not have been happier with the service he provided. Great value and he gives you above and beyond service!

to our wedding. With all of the things to worry about on the day, we never had anything to worry about with our DJ. Andy filled us with confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing, would do exactly what we wanted, and would (and did) make our reception an awesome party. My wife and I attended one of the wedding shows in Madison where we first met Andy. Andy was genuinely excited about wanting to be a part of our day. It was a huge benefit and reassurance to know in advance that Andy would be our DJ on the actual day, which not every company provides. We looked at other DJ companies, some slightly cheaper, but they did not offer the personal service of really wanting to know our story or truly caring about making our day special. Andy added the personal touch and worked with our budget. His dedication to making our wedding reception memorable was unmatched by any of our other vendors. Communication with Andy was great by text, phone, email and a meeting down at the Union Terrace to finalize the details for the day. Andy was organized, professional, and fun to work with. Nothing was too much hassle. Andy and Ross did an excellent job on the day. Andy was a great master of ceremonies, made introductions and announcements flawlessly, and ensured that our guests knew what was happening throughout the night. The entire evening went smoothly because Andy made sure that it did. We never had a moment’s worry. And the lights and party atmosphere were amazing. Our dance floor was full from the first dance to the last dance of the night. We would highly and enthusiastically recommend Andy and Saturns 8 to any couple for their wedding. We truly could not have asked for a better DJ!

On the day of the wedding, Andy and Ross provided music and microphones for the wedding ceremony, music for cocktail hour, music for the grand march and dinner, professional lighting around the venue, and the best dance party we have ever been to. The dance floor was completely packed for the entire four hours! It was so amazing. If you hire Andy, know that you've got a guy that's going to solve problems, put out fires, think on his feet, and look out for you in every situation that arises. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him. Don't miss out on the chance to hire these guys. Thanks so much Andy and Ross! -Jackson and Kelsey

know what our wants and needs are for the night before the wedding and the day of the wedding. He made sure the song choices fit the crowd and everyone was dancing. It was a full dance floor all night long.

en it happened to be the day of the SCOTUS decision, he was one of the first congratulatory calls that morning. Two weeks after the wedding our parents are still talking about the good work of Andy & Ross. The music was just as we discussed, with flexibility for special requests & lighting. They even helped our parents surprise us with toasts and a slideshow! Andy was a kind and thoughtful MC who kept the ceremony & reception going. I am so glad that Andy & Ross were a part of our wedding - they even ate dinner at the table with our family! We would absolutely recommend them for your celebration!

dly, and fun.

job reading the crowd as well, and we could not have asked for more!

e had a fun reception!

ow to read the crowd. he did sound for our ceremony as well -- everything was wonderful.
