Sasha Chou Photography & Video Studio

g! We are so grateful for the beautiful pictures!

the wedding, Sasha asked what we had in mind. We wanted something classy, not too posed and more candid. They totally understood what we had in mind. First, they came on time (an underrated quality). Then they split up, Sasha focused on the bride and her party and Chase went with the groom and his party. They snapped some candid pictures as well as posed ones. Before the wedding started, we took all our more posed pictures. Once the wedding began, they focused on doing a lot more of the candid pictures which is exactly what we wanted. We had access to all the pictures 3 weeks later which is quick turn around. They did some black and white pictures but mostly color as we had requested. Overall, they did a masterful job. Very tasteful pictures! We would definitely recommend her!

Sasha via email and a quick phone call before the wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Sasha and her second photographer, Chace, arrived early and eager. They quickly got to work, documenting the details of our day. The thing that stood out to us most was their energy—they were genuinely excited for us and to capture our day. They were flexible, non judgmental, committed to their final product, and just simply fun to work with. Sasha kept the mood light and playful, we laughed a lot and overall she put us at ease. Our families and friends loved working with Sasha and Chace as well. Sasha had our photos back to us in less time than promised in our contract, and they are simply beautiful. Viewing the photos with my husband, we felt like we were able to relive one of our most favorite days surrounded by our friends and family. Thank you Sasha and team!

ence in our photos and I absolutely love them all. Will definitely be working with them for future events!

ntimental person and I treasure memories captured in photos and videos. I knew that finding a great photographer for my wedding would require extensive research and it was very important to find just the right one for my event. I dont remember exactly how I came upon Sasha Chou (probably google) but I do remember her sitting pretty comfortably on the top of my potential vendors-list for awhile before I made my final decision to commit. What stuck out to me about Sasha was her wedding packages and most importantly, her photography style. I was debating if I really needed videography and if I really needed 2 photographers and videographers at that. In the end, it seemed like a worthwhile investment to have a dual team for both, and Sasha happened to offer a reasonably priced package for just that. In addition, she and her team offered 9 hours of work, which also fit my needs. She was also probably about $3000 less expensive than another company I was considering, so that was a plus as well. I also do value supporting female-owned businesses as well as Asian businesses. Besides affordability, I also really liked Sasha’s photography style for weddings. Im not really into dark and moody, nor am I really into the super serious editorial look either. I like a mixture of traditional photography (poses and setup of photos) paired with a bit of fine-arts photography (airy feels, natural lighting and nice backdrops). I also enjoy when a photographer doesnt do much more to photos other than enhancing the contrast in the image just a bit. Fun fact: the only filters I ever like and use are ones that simply enhance contrast and/or brightness of an image. Working with Sasha was pretty straightforward, and I mean this in terms of communication through email, over the phone, and in person. I do remember that after our initial engagement session, my husband did remark that he liked that she could make us laugh. When I got the engagement photos, I was quite happy with how they turned out. The photos had nice color and they just felt airy and light. Sasha and her team arrived to the venue early on the day of my wedding. And they worked efficiently with capturing my dress and details and all of our couple-photos, family photos, and wedding party photos. I expected the whole process to take more than 2.5 hours, but we were done quicker than that. I also liked that she and her team were gentle and respectful with handling our parents, who are much less familiar with the whole photo-process. The rest of my wedding day was a bit of a blur, but I know they were working hard for us for the whole evening. They stayed a little bit past the agreed upon time of 9:30 PM to capture some last minute details, and I appreciate that. Im so excited to see my photos. Im sure they’ll be good. I would definitely recommend Sasha and her team for any wedding. PS I can proudly say that I was the one who taught Sasha how to share her screen on Google Meets 😂😂😂

asy to talk to, was genuinely interested in learning more about our story and what we wanted, and even worked within our budget to accommodate a videographer. The day of the wedding she and her team were so easy to work with. She has a way of both giving suggestions/directing and going with the flow which made the day so smooth and pleasant. The team effortlessly moved around our wedding guests and captured the most beautiful moments on our big day. My wife and I are from two different cultural backgrounds and Sasha’s team was able to incorporate all the elements of our traditions into the pictures and videos. Sasha and her team took into account everything that we asked and went above and beyond to give us a great final product, would highly highly recommend!

was very great with giving instructions to make the photos look natural and beautiful. I would definitely recommend Sasha to anyone who’s looking to take photos for their engagement/wedding!

n incredible eye for detail which definitely showed in the quality of the photos. Sasha was also fun and easy to work with. And the photos were beautiful! Highly recommend!

er. She arrived early to the shoot, and instantly made us feel at ease about it, teaching us some useful poses (we really needed help with posing!). We were able to choose 2 main locations, and along the way Sasha suggested making use of different backdrops we hadn’t thought of! She really had a great eye for picking out interesting colors and angles for the backdrops, and we were able to get a great variety of photos! She also had techniques for making our poses and interactions look natural. We highly recommend booking Sasha Chou for any engagement / wedding / family photo shoot, she is fantastic to work with!! --- We had another amazing experience with Sasha and her team on our Wedding day!! We booked 2 photographers and 2 videographers and we are so happy with the results. They captured so many great moments, including those we were not able to see on the day! We were impressed with the quality of the lighting and audio in the videos. The day goes by so fast, and the photos and videos are the only way to relive the special moments. Sasha is truly professional. We had a call with Sasha prior to the Wedding day to go over the schedule, and she gave so many great suggestions regarding when we should walk slower for important shots, activities we could add to our Wedding, and letting us know when her team would take time to photograph the decor and the venue before guests enter different spaces. She and her team are always punctual, for arriving at shoots and delivering the finalized photographs and videos! We especially credit Sasha for making our whole Wedding planning process smooth. She helped us with our engagement photoshoot, and we followed her for recommendations for the makeup artist and DJ. Our Wedding day was our best day ever, it was as stress-free as could be!

, our wedding was not easy to shoot. We traveled and shot through 3 boroughs wedding day, ending with a banquet in the evening. She was professional, creative and kind throughout the entire process. We planned our wedding from California so she helped us a lot with logistics and scheduling pre-wedding; she was very responsive from the initial intro call, pre-wedding meetings and the day of. We felt like she was truly on our team for delivering the best photos. She also delivered the photos before the contract deadline and we appreciated the prompt delivery (yes even during busy season!). I am

e and very fast! It was so easy to work with them. The video team - Jan and Ben did a fantastic job. Everything looked so cinematic with breathtaking aerial shots, non linear video editing, amazing audio and mind blowing gimbal shots for the wedding film. It felt like we were watching a million dollar hollywood movie. All the photos and videos were delivered quickly. We cant thank them enough for capturing our priceless moments. We highly recommend Sasha Chou Photography!!!

ons we had. On the day of, she arrived on time and was very professional. She's very easy going and it was a comfortable experience shooting with her and her partner. It didn't feel forced at all and the photos show that. We also got our photos very quick, within 30 days and they turned out awesome. We were going for a natural vibe and she definitely captured that. 100% recommend booking Sasha for your special day!

said, once we saw Sasha’s portfolio and met with her for the intro call we knew we found our crew. From the start, Sasha was so attentive and genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple and learn our story. Sasha, Chase, Ben and Eric are all so talented and easy to work with, they made posing for photos a breeze and our entire wedding party really appreciated they’re easy going, positive energy. I’ve heard horror stories of wedding photographers being pushy or adding to wedding day anxiety, which is the antithesis of this team. You can just tell they truly love what they do and it really shines through in the finished product. My husband and I recently received all of our photos and wedding video (if you’re on the fence about whether to get video, trust me you should just do it!) and we couldn’t believe how beautiful everything turned out. We’ll always treasure these mementos from our wedding day and are eternally grateful to Sasha and team for their work 🙏🏻

t was flawless. From the minute we first met months prior until our wedding day, we knew she would provide the best! Thanks!

and showed me different albums and described her photos with incredible attention to the smallest details. She asked in advance about the color palette of my flowers so she can start considering different filters. We slowly went through the whole wedding program together and she shared ideas of where we could shoot intimate photos with the family before the wedding. I liked that she was confident that her candid shots would feel authentic when I expressed concern about feeling awkward. She is clearly passionate about her work and loves what she does. Due to Covid, I very sadly was not able to work with her as our wedding got canceled and we're moving from NY. But Sasha even handled the cancellation with utmost generosity and understanding. Her selfless response to this very difficult situation actually made me appreciate and respect Sasha even more, given that the pandemic has hit many industries hard, including wedding photographers. If there is any question about who to trust for your wedding photos, Sasha Chou is your person.

y easy. On the day of, we worked with Chace, who was fantastic! He was easy to work with and professional so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. We received our beautiful photos in just a few weeks, and they were beautiful! Chace did a great job capturing our special day. The entire process with Sasha Chou Photography was amazing, and I would recommend for anyone looking to capture a special moment with a great, professional team!

elaxed and give good suggestions for us to posture. She’s not only a photographer but also a story teller. Very nice to have her for photo shooting. Love the photos even when they have not been retouched! Because I need to make the wedding invitation card in a short period of time, she sent me a few retouched photos for me very quickly! Really happy and satisfied!

think we met an awesome professional photographer plus a new friend in NYC! Worth it~

osal shoot and was very accommodating in dealing with some challenging logistics and a spy movie like setup (meeting up in the men's bathroom before he sprinted out with a telephoto lens for some covert shots of my soon-to-be-fiancee and me). The photos turned out great. Sasha met us to photograph our civil wedding ceremony, starting at the NYC High Line. She was great to work with. All of our parents were there as well, and they all commented on how well Sasha managed the shoot. We were happy with the photos as well. Overall very happy with our experience - two thumbs up!

he vows. In addition, she made our guests feel like participants rather than spectators of our momentous occasion. We could need be happier. Thank you, Sasha!

e the wedding to discuss my wedding plan and she gave me ideas about where the best spots are. She reconfirmed the time/place a week before the wedding. During the ceremony and photo shoot afterwards, she was very efficient and quick to take both couple photos as well as group family photos. She knew exactly where the best locations were in Central Park for photos and made us feel comfortable (even with camera shy people). The photos turn out wonderful and everyone loves the photos! Thank you Sasha!

d they turned out to be gorgeous. She is so nice, professional, energetic, and easy to work with. Talking with her is like talking with an old friend, which made us feel relaxed and show our most natural pose and smiles to her. We are satisfied with and grateful for all the work she did. Her assistant Hazel is also great. She is gentle, careful, and tried to make us feel comfortable during the shooting process. We love this team so much. Highly recommended!

a lot fun and the photos came out great. This is exactly what I want!! Lovely!!!

and knew what to do without wasting each others time, I did a few shoots with other photographers in the past and they take like a 100 shots until they finally got the right shot but Sasha knew what to do right away. She provided feedback and how to pose us and she has a great sense of humor! It was well worth the early morning shoot, the pictures came out awesome. You won't be disappointed if you choose Sasha :)

h a gem! Totally recommended!

e definitely accommodated all our request and had a lot of great ideas as well. And the album is definitely of great value and quality. Her style is soft, romantic and natural. Money well spent.
