scure, mountainous locations and instead of feeling like it was a hassle, Sarah made me feel like I was providing her with such a fun opportunity to travel and experience somewhere new. From our first phone consultation, I was immediately impressed with Sarah. Her overall vibe seemed to be a great fit for us and she was very low-pressure and go with the flow (exactly what we were going for!). When choosing a photographer, it was important to me to choose someone who was great at capturing candid moments, had a relatively quick turnaround time, and had a good understanding of the type of day I was envisioning overall- Sarah over-delivered on all of these things! I wanted to minimize the "everyone line up and smile" type of photos and optimize for candids, so I provided Sarah a pretty limited list of essential family photos we'd snap immediately following our ceremony. I was super impressed that Sarah was strong in defending my wishes when inevitably family members started requesting more of the posed photos. Sarah seems to have perfectly mastered the balance of blending in and capturing natural moments and being a strong bridal advocate and stepping in where needed to make sure the day was exactly what I wanted. Following both our wedding photos and engagement photos, Sarah provided me with some previews within 24 hours. This is SO nice and huge when the excitement is high and you're dying to share! Beyond her speediness, the quality of her photos is AMAZING. She has captured every special moment of our day- big and small- and we are SO THANKFUL!

I was blown away by her photos - how natural and candid they looked and how every couple wasn't posed, but the photos were just as (or even more) beautiful. She uses darker contrasts which is what we wanted since our wedding was in March. Since we live out of state, we were able to Zoom call with Sarah a few times and we just clicked right away. She also was so flexible with her photo packages and we were able to customize it for what we wanted. Leading up to wedding week, she was so easy to get ahold of and communicate with when some of the timeline changed. For the day of, we hired a second photographer to shoot alongside Sarah and we are so so happy we did. Her and Courtney shot our day perfectly. We received our photos back so timely and just sat in awe at all 1500 of them!! We are seriously blown away. We love you, Sarah, and are so happy you shot our day! We also just enjoyed her presence, which made the day even more comfortable. She made us laugh, made us smile, and made us truly soak it all in. Now, we are walking away with so many memories that will last a lifetime. Hire Sarah for your wedding - you will not regret it :)

Hannah did the actual shooting, since Sarah was already booked but it worked out perfectly, as I felt like despite having one photographer day-of we still had two people supporting us throughout the entire process. Sarah did the final editing and they came back a dream! I had very specific requests about certain shots and they were happy to accommodate. I hope that we are able to start a family, as I would absolutely hire them back to do pregnancy/newborn photos.

I happily booked her in June of 2020 not knowing that my fiancée and I would find out we were expecting in October, with our due date just a few days before our wedding date! Of course, this meant we had to change the date, pushing it another 5 months out. I contacted Sarah, who we had already signed a contract with and explained what was going on and she was so sweet and accommodating. Despite October being an insanely busy month for her, she worked our new date in painlessly. Working with her was a breeze. She was laid back and friendly, but very obviously organized and I felt calm knowing that she would be handling our day. Flash forward to the wedding-she and her assistant captured the day effortlessly. Sarah saved my maid of honor who’s shoe strap broke about 5 minutes before the ceremony started (I guess that doesn’t only happen in movies) and managed to corral my wedding party and family…bribing the flower girls with chip bags. Haha! Most of all, the pictures were stunning. My family, even some who aren’t picture enthusiasts, were blown away with all the beautiful photos we received after the wedding. All in all, the biggest feeling imparted on me by Sarah was that she was in your corner on your day. That you had an ally for whatever it was you needed, beyond the photography. I would book her 100 times over…hopefully we can take family photos down the line. Book Sarah-you will be so thrilled that you did.

She is such a genuine person and it’s so easy to feel comfortable around her which is the most important thing when you want beautiful photos to commemorate your wedding day. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again. Her editing style is gorgeous - she corrects for skin tone so you aren’t washed out in all the photos, and there were so so so many good pictures. When we viewed a full gallery before hiring I was amazed at how many good pictures were In the full gallery - it was more than any other photographer we considered.

. We are always awkward and shy in front of cameras. We dreaded the idea of being the main focus of every camera on our big day. We are also really particular about who we let in to our lives. Even though we live in a progressive city, we are still a nontraditional couple living in a very conservative state and we understand that some people won't ever be on board with two women getting married to each other. Meeting Sarah at a family member's wedding the year before ours was fate. We saw how thoughtful and careful Sarah was about COVID restrictions. We saw how wonderful she was with our families and how effortless it was for her to put people at ease. That night was a whirlwind but I remember looking at Mari and saying, "We should really look into hiring Sarah!" It's so easy to compliment Sarah because she did the impossible with us. She made us immediately comfortable for our engagement photos and managed to capture us being light and carefree. That's saying a lot because she managed to get us to show public affection when that's the exact opposite of what we usually do. Again, we live in a progressive city but we know full well how challenging and sometimes scary it can be to show public affection in a very conservative state...Sarah was always supportive and kind, giving clear and often hilarious suggestions for poses and pictures. We enjoyed our engagement session so we were really excited about our wedding day. And wow, did Sarah and her assistant Nicole deliver. We asked for a LOT of family photos. Some members of our family are elderly and we really wanted them to share our spotlight. My wife and I burst into happy tears when we first saw our wedding photos. There were countless photos that have quickly become family favorites of our aging parents, aunts and uncles. Sarah went above and beyond for us. Not only did she manage to capture some really stunning photos but she managed to capture the HEART in them. She captured the emotion of one of the most amazing days of our lives. Joel Strasser once said, "A good photographer must love life more than they love photography." Sarah's love for life showed through her gorgeous photos. She showed how much she loves getting to know people and translating what her clients love to film. If you need a great photographer for any event, then hire Sarah and her team. She is an incredibly talented photographer as well as a wonderfully warm and kind human being.

I swear she never takes a bad picture. What Sarah does best is authentically capture the emotions and personalities behind her subject. She's not just there to snap a few posed pictures and edit them, instead she's there to document each detail of your day. If you hire Sarah, you'll not only get incredible pictures of you and your spouse on your wedding day, you'll also get some of the most special and treasured pictures of your loved ones. I cannot thank Sarah enough for three incredible shoots, but most importantly for capturing our family and friends' emotions during our wedding. She was friendly, while also being professional, and maintained regular communication with us throughout our planning process, which helped us feel prepared and at ease. We were looking for a photographer that took natural, fun, “candid” photos that didn’t look too staged, and that’s exactly what Sarah delivered. She gave us direction and made us feel comfortable when taking photos as a couple, and also did an excellent job wrangling our parents, siblings, grandparents, bridal party, etc. for the group shots. All around, Sarah was fantastic, and we’re so grateful we picked her to photograph our wedding! She did a wonderful job capturing our special day and we will cherish our photos for years to come.

so busy but through it all, we felt, like she never missed a beat and she was always available should we need anything. That spoke volumes to my wife and I. We actually used an associate of hers for the actual wedding day photos, Hannah, and from the beginning Sarah told us she would be amazing and that they had very similar shooting styles and that she was the best. Well, she was right. Hannah was absolutely amazing, the whole entire time. We couldn't have asked for a better someone to capture our most special day. Hannah was very punctual. She was very professional while still being able to have a great personality and somehow feel like she was always part of the family & friends guest list. Most importantly, Hannah acted and shot like she had done this before, she knew exactly how to act and what to say to get the shots we envisioned. Once the wedding had passed Sarah took over once more as our contact person and, just like before, communication went very smoothly. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a more professional, fun, determined and hardworking team than Sarah and Hannah. While hosting our wedding in a different state meant rebooking with different vendors, we decided to keep one vendor and that was Sarah. We knew Sarah was the photographer we wanted to work with. Let me offer you a vote of confidence here. Sarah is an amazingly talented photographer. Sarah will document your day helping you relive those special moments. Her work speaks for herself, so go check it out, really. 2. Now a wedding day is already stressful enough. Sarah really helps ease that burden by being an extremely easy and pleasant person to work with. Sarah is on top of her stuff, from photo list so that you get all the shots you want, checking on you ahead of the wedding, and finally making you also feel safe during these uncertain times. I never had to second guess, or feel like I needed to check on Sarah. For example, Sarah went to our venue beforehand and checked out spots for nice lighting for our photos. 3. Finally, Sarah is just a great person overall. While Covid-19 extended our planning process, it gave us the gift of getting to work with Sarah over a longer period of time. We're thankful for her friendship and help during our planning process. We really felt that Sarah became someone we could trust. She is kind, helpful, and extremely understanding. Once you start working with her, you'll realize Sarah is extremely passionate about her work and that passion comes through in the deliverables she helps produce for you and your loved one. Sarah was very flexible and allowed us to push our photos back 2 weeks so that we could ensure we got the scenic beauty we were looking for. We had so much fun at our engagement photos! Sarah had great prompts to get those natural, candid photos from us. I loved how she asked us questions about our relationship and walked down memory lane with us. I felt comfortable and confident the whole time. We absolutely love how the photos came out, I would definitely recommend Sarah!

She is also just really kind and patient. I have six rowdy nephews and she somehow managed to wrangle them for pictures. More than anything, she respects the couples she works with and allows her process to be guided by what the couple’s style is. My husband and I are not comfortable in front of the camera, but Sarah made us look like naturals. I received so many compliments on my photos. She puts a degree of excellence into every part of her work that is truly rare and exceptional. Her heart to serve and her love for her craft show through in every detail: My veil was falling out all day and Sarah wore it around her neck. We forgot our drinks inside and Hannah (second shooter) ran down the street to grab them for us so we could celebrate while getting our portraits done. She taught my husband how to carry my train. She adjusted to last minute requests of a first touch/prayer time and private letter reading. AND she parties like no other! Our dance floor was SO much fun-- guests felt comfortable being photographed while getting weird because Sarah and Hannah were hype with them. Regardless of which photographer you pick, you'll love your wedding photos. But whether or not you truly love your photographer is entirely different.

e me feel at ease (with something that made me rather stressed-as I am a high anxiety type) and like I was talking with a friend. About a month before our wedding Sarah helped me come up with a timeline for our day (something that I had no idea with where to start) which I was and still am so grateful for. Also, prior to our wedding Sarah spent hours scouting out locations around our venue to take couples photos after our ceremony, she even sent us photos from each one to show us all of the options (we’re from Minneapolis, MN so we couldn’t just go find our own spots). We didn’t at all expect her to take all of the time she did looking for locations but were so touched and appreciative that she did. The photos that Sarah captures are absolutely GORGEOUS, she made every picture from our wedding (8/24/19) look like a piece of art. Sarah was able to capture each and every special moment and memory throughout our day. She caught all of these moments without interrupting any natural aspect or flow of our day. In fact, Sarah helped make the day flow seamlessly. She arrived to our venue early (I was shocked-but in a good way) to check lighting and find the best locations for the first looks and other group photos. She acted as a liaison between my husband and I, helping us communicate without seeing each other before the first look and delivering letters I had written to my groom and the dads. Sarah organized all of our group photos, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. It was so nice to have her being the one to coordinate and organize this (I’m usually the one to do this, but it was nice to have that stress taken away for the day). After our ceremony Sarah took us to a nearby park to take couples pictures. She had “games” to play to help us get pictures with natural reactions and real smiles/moments. Nothing felt posed and it moved with ease making my husband and I both feel very comfortable. All of our wedding photos (over 1100-from just 4 hours!) live on on our phones, computers, in a GIANT photo book we made (seriously it’s text book sized) and in prints in our home and the homes of our parents. We could not love our pictures more as well as our experience with Sarah taking them all. Sarah will have many more brides and weddings to capture, but she will always be our one wedding photographer whose pictures we will cherish forever. We both cannot recommend Sarah and Sarah E Photography enough!

about Sarah. She made me feel so confident during bridals, and after seeing her stunning work from that session I knew our wedding photos were going to be amazing. I was not wrong. Our wedding was a brunch wedding, so it was a very early morning. Sarah was at the venue by 6 a.m. with a smile and her ever-positive attitude ready to go. She kept everyone on schedule (even ahead of schedule!) and made everything stress-free for me. It was clear that her primary goal was not only to take photographs, but to truly take care of me. She beautifully captured every detail of the day, which I am so grateful for because there were some details I didn't even get to see on the day of the wedding. And, she had all of our wedding photos back to us within NINE DAYS. NINE DAYS, PEOPLE. That is unheard of!!! Sarah is so professional yet also makes every experience of working with her so personal. I highly recommend using her for any occasion, but especially your wedding. I've had many people tell me that our wedding photos are the best they've ever seen and they belong in a magazine. Having incredible photos to look back on is such a gift and with Sarah, that is a guarantee.
