We had our daughter’s wedding at Samuel Cedars two months ago, and it was fantastic. We held the ceremony outside, and the setting was beautiful. The bridal cottage was adorable an...
d so convenient. The indoor reception space was cute and functional, easy for us and our guests to use.
Dodi and the rest of the team were a delight to work with. The day-of coordinators were magical, one of my daughters said they made us feel like royalty. The DJ was excellent too. He led a wedding trivia game as we settled in for dinner, waiting for the couple to enter. He also had personalized guest trivia to release the tables for dinner. It was such a nice, personal touch and seemed to keep everyone entertained and engaged. And people still won’t stop talking about the brisket. They are really the best.
We are so glad we used Samuel Cedars as our wedding and reception venue. We did the all-inclusive package with them and it was literally the easiest thing I've ever done. Dodi was ...
fantastic with keeping us on track for making decisions and answered every question we could think of at any time, even down to table placements. The staff was incredible and I didn't have to coordinate or lift a finger the day of our wedding, the staff made sure everything was ready and fulfilled any request I had. The venue itself is beautiful and we got so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved the place. The bridal cottage was amazing for me and my bridesmaids to hang out and get ready in. I would 1,000% recommend them to anyone; they made my wedding day perfect and super easy to plan.
Was deciding between 3 stars and 4. The venue itself is gorgeous, and needs little decorating as the inside is so beautiful. The all inclusive package includes so much the process ...
was mostly smooth besides what I talk about below. One thing to mention about the grounds is the mulch can make it hard for elderly family members to walk to their seat, but the venue offers transport in a cart! The loss of star is mostly for the choice of certain vendors samuel cedars uses.
To start, we chose this venue for the all-inclusiveness and affordability. Samuel cedars does multiple "open houses" to get to know vendors and explore the grounds. Which is really awesome!! However, multiple vendors that this venue utilizes pressured us to purchase more time than is included in the package. The DJ and multiple photographers uses pretty manipulating tactics to pressure me into spending more. As a bride who had just graduated graduate school, was just starting her first job, and was hesitant to throw down thousands of extra cash, this made the planning process a bit of a bummer. Shelby Chante specifically brought me to tears when I asked her if I could just do the hours included in the package and not purchase her $4,000 extra package. She had a very ugly attitude and stated "your grandchildren are going to look at these, you know that right?" I discussed this with the owner and I really hope she talked with her about this, bc it really put a bad taste in my mouth planning my special day. I was thinking about not mentioning it, but I also want other brides to not have to experience what I did, or at least brace yourself if you speak to this specific vendor. She may have had an extremely awful day, but she should not attended open house if this is the case.
They do use Linda's Flowers for flowers and I want to say they blew us away with their bouquets and planning process!! The flowers were exquisite. The food offered is also very good, my family would not stop complementing it!
Overall, no wedding experience will be perfect, and I would still definitely recommend this venue.
Dodi was great to work with and everything was spectacular. Beautiful well kept venue really pulled everything together. Our wedding couldn’t have gone any better!
Gorgeous space! Such friendly staff! Incredible bundles and packages!! If you are in the beginning stages of wedding planning and looking for something near Springfield, MO, check ...
this venue out!! We were in the process of rescheduling a COVID-cancelled wedding, so we had almost all of our other vendors booked and this just wasn’t the match for us, but I WISH we had found them earlier!! Such an incredible place.
Samuel Cedars was the absolute PERFECT place for my husband and I to get married! We had the most stress-free wedding imaginable. The venue was sparkling clean, the grounds were pe...
rfectly kept and green (even though it was at the end of a hot summer) and the flowers were beautiful. The owners were so easy to work with and the staff they provided to host the wedding were very professional. Mark, the in-house DJ, is probably the best wedding DJ I’ve had he pleasure of seeing. He made the reception so much fun!
I would suggest Samuel Cedars to anyone wanting a perfect wedding day 😊
This was a lovely venue! The yards were well kept and beautiful! The inside was clean and gorgeous! It was set up exactly how we discussed. The owner and staff were great to work ...
with, and very attentive! We had an excellent time!
I know the owners of this company and have done business in the past. I would not trust all reviews. I am aware that Samuel Cedars does have multiple rehearsals and rehearsal night...
s and they allow one hour for each couple. I also know that when we used Samuel Cedars they stated in their contract that rehearsals were only outside and not inside. This was stated. Finally we were well aware that their package was for 150 people and that additional chairs were $1.50 per person. They really prefer to keep the inside chairs inside so that they are nicer.
I would highly recommend Samuel Cedars and especially Dodi! They are a truly amazing business. If you have questions don't hesitate to call The owners for answers, especially if you see questionable reviews.
Samuel Cedars was the perfect place for my wedding! They were amazing to work with and so nice!
I absoultely loved getting married here. I literally had no idea what I was doing and dodi was so helpful and such a pleasure to work with, and when a problem did arise she was qu...
ick to find a solution. The venu was absolutely beautiful and because the inside and the outside are so pretty little decorations are needed. My husband and I are so happy we chose this place.
Samuel Cedars is so beautiful! Reasonable in price, very accommodating and easy to work with! I loved every minute of our wedding and the planning process with them!
We used Samuel Cedars for our wedding venue and it was the perfect place! The setting itself is so gorgeous and scenic that we did very little decorating, taking a big stress off ...
of the day. Doug and Dodi were both easily available any time we had questions throughout the process. I can't think of a single way they could have improved on our experience working with them.

te kitchen for their catering so the food was hot, fresh and really good. The owners were easy to work with. They have an open house each month to meet the vendors associated with this venue. Absolutely loved the DJ and would also recommend using Amy for ballad tending services.

you inside if it does happen to rain. They have their own dj or you can bring in someone else. Overall they made our day Perfect!
What can I say! We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony that was both casual and rustic yet had an element of elegance. We stumbled upon this little gem and cannot say enough good ab...
out it! The service was outstanding, the reception hall is PERFECT size and style, very clean, and the ceremony site is well groomed with breathtaking grounds. Out of all the places we looked they were the best priced for what you get! Quality is top notch. The vendors they recommend were beyond what I could have found on my own and they were always quick to respond to my questions.
The only negatives that were not deal breakers are; we had to end reception by 10pm in order to be out by 11. They are overly picky about certain aspects of what you can use during ceremony.. but for good reason. The bridal room is quite small for an entire bridal party. You cannot set anything up the day prior. Those were really the only downsides. This venue is easy to find and they are so very well organized. I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting!
Samuel Cedars is gorgeous, inside and out. The owners are so nice and helpful. All of our wedding guests were impressed with the venue, and had nothing but great compliments to say...
about it. I couldn't be happier with our decision to get married here!
Beautiful place, but they kick you out a little early - I think 10 pm. The outdoor ceremony spot was very pretty and the deal they have with the dj is a steal. We chose somewhere...
else due to the early curfew but the was the main deal breaker.
This setting and wedding venue is absolutely beautiful and pristine. I was trying to plan a wedding from Denver in Springfield and I didn't even get a chance to see it until my re...
hearsal and I was pleased. The ambiance is country, but you can choose to decorate the inside to make it a little more elegant and the outside is just a gorgeous setting. We hired Dodi to choreograph our ceremony and she was very professional. Alot of our other vendors would only talk to my mother in law and this ended up in me not getting what I wanted, but Dodi called me to discuss what I wanted before the wedding. She had everything written down and was organized and in control. I was very pleased with her services.
Samuel Cedars has it all! It is VERY affordable and offers a beautiful outdoor space to get married. Also, you walk up a short path and are at your reception site. It's an all i...

Overall this area is very nice for weddings. The owner can be very picky which is kind of annoying, but he is just trying to keep his place looking nice. The inside reception area ...
