edding day. According to the contract, the schedule for the wedding day was supposed to be sent out three weeks in advance. With only two weeks left and no schedule or updates, I started getting very concerned. I emailed the office and received no response for quite some time. I also called multiple times and left voicemails without hearing back. I did not receive a response until we began communicating through text messages. The owner eventually explained that she had been sick, which I completely understand, but the lack of communication through any method left me feeling stressed and uncertain during a time when I should have been able to trust that these details were handled. About a week and a half before my wedding, I needed to add another bridesmaid. I was told this was completely fine and paid the full price for the additional service. Around that same time, I finally received the schedule. However, my hairstylist later reached out to me personally with a different schedule because she had not received the information from the company I had hired. I then learned that the hairstylist and makeup artist were subcontractors rather than employees of Samantha Alexis Beauty, which explained some of the communication issues. Although things eventually got sorted out, the lack of coordination affected our wedding morning plans. My bridesmaids had to keep their hairstyles simple because the hairstylist had another wedding booked before ours and would not have enough time to complete everything as originally hoped. This was frustrating, especially after paying for services and expecting the timeline and coordination outlined in the contract. I do want to make it clear that the hairstylist and makeup artist themselves were wonderful. They were sweet, professional, talented, and did a great job. Thankfully, they helped make everything work out on the wedding day. My disappointment is with the company’s communication, organization, and coordination, not with the artists who provided the actual services. For such an important day, I expected much better communication and planning, and unfortunately, that part of the experience fell short of my expectations.
