About this vendor
So you're looking for a fun and professional wedding band? You've come to the right place!
My name is Sam Mooney and I'm the frontman and owner of this band. When my wife and I got engaged a few years ago, I couldn't believe the amount of decisions we had to make and things we had to do before the wedding. Couples aren't exaggerating when they say that planning a wedding can feel like a second job! During our engagement, I remember what a wonderful feeling of relief it was every time someone stepped in, helped, and took a task or worry off my hands. That feeling of peace is one of the two main gifts I hope to give the couples we work with.
You've got a million things to think about on your wedding day. The last thing you should be worried about is whether or not you can count on the band you booked! Will they show up on time? Will they remember your requests? Will they make the right announcements at the right times? Will they interact kindly with your guests? With my band, all of those worries will be gone. We pride ourselves on kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. Check out our reviews section on this page and you'll see stories of how we've delivered those on those promises over and over again for the wonderful couples we've worked with.
The other, equally important, gift we hope to give you is an amazing reception, of course! Weddings are a unique gathering: What other time in your life will you have a party with both your grandparents and your high school friends? It takes a special and versatile band to truly engage all of your wedding guests, and we are that band! We play a mix of classics from decades past and recent hits that keeps everyone singing along. We cater our setlist to the energy level that YOU want, making every reception we are a part of unique. If you want a laid-back reception where the music takes on an elegant background role, we can make it happen. If you want to dance the night away with your friends to a high-energy band, we'll make that happen, too!
I'd love to hear more about what you're dreaming of for your wedding day. Send me a message today and we'll talk about how we can bring your vision to life!

We could not have asked for a better wedding band! From the very first song to the last dance, they kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night. Their musicianship an...
d vocals were incredible, and they did an amazing job reading the crowd and playing the perfect mix of songs for every age group.
They were professional, organized, FUN, and so easy to work with throughout the planning process. They made our reception unforgettable, and so many of our guests commented on how amazing the band was. If you’re looking for a talented, fun, and reliable band to make your wedding truly special, we highly recommend them. They exceeded all of our expectations!
If you are hesitating in booking Sam Mooney Band, let this review relieve you of such hesitation. We decided later in our planning process to have a band, and we are beyond lucky t...
hat Sam Mooney Band was available! I was so flustered trying to organize later in the game (4 months!), and Sam made the whole process super simple and seamless. We chatted on the phone multiple times to make sure he knew the vibe and what we were looking for. He had a setlist and let me kind of add and remove things where I wanted. I felt so confident going into the day because of their organization and desire to understand and provide exactly what we wanted. The day came, and they just absolutely blew the roof off. They nailed the exact experience/vibe we were looking for and provided such a great time for our guests! Everyone said how much they enjoyed the band, and it is because they are such wonderful people and musicians that truly care about delivering a quality experience. If I did it again, I would book Sam Mooney Band 100x over. Lucky, lucky, lucky to have had them as part of our special day!
Sam performed during our wedding ceremony and reception. His piano and vocals were excellent, as well as his kind and comfortable demeanor. We discussed a couple songs that we want...
ed him to play, and he took care of the rest. He brought and set up his own equipment and got right to work. His music set the tone for our wedding so beautifully and brought a fun, cohesive vibe to the reception. 2 years later, I still feel like hiring Sam as our musician was the best vendor decision made for our wedding. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone interested in having live music at their special event!
Sam and the band were incredible! Everyone complimented on them for weeks after the wedding! So easy to work with, so kind, and so talented!! You won’t be disappointed!

or everyone. They are extremely talented musicians and no one wanted the night to end! Talking and planning with Sam beforehand was also great. It was easy and effortless and he was such a pleasure to work with.
Sam Mooney and his band were amazing and such a pleasure to work with. We requested just his acoustic guitarist to play for our ceremony, then some instrumental jazz/blues for the ...
cocktail hour, and then high energy bangers for the money dance, garter/bouquet tosses, and open dance floor. They read the crowd so well and kept everyone dancing and singing along to songs all night! Everyone kept telling me how amazing the band was! I highly recommend Sam Mooney band for any occasion. Sam Mooney was also so great to talk to when we facetimed a couple weeks before the big day and went over the game plan and all wedding details, the program, and things he needed to emcee for. Sam Mooney took notes and kept in mind everything we had asked for. He truly went above and beyond! Thank you so much Sam!

ion, Sam's band was at the top of my list. They can play any and every genre and bring so much more than your standard wedding band. Bonus points for Sam for playing the first dance, father/daughter, and mother/son songs live (as opposed to using an aux cord like many weddings do). He even learned a song that I requested for my mom and I to dance to that wasn't in his usual list to choose from. Sam's professionalism and friendliness are a must have for your wedding day!
