Salty Broad Studios

e that we were comfortable heading into wedding day. She captured our big day beautifully, and I would highly recommend her!

orities. As a queer couple, it was very important to us to work with queer and queer affirming vendors. In Salty Broad Studios and Christine, we got everything we were looking for and more. From our first consultation, we felt both seen and in the hands of a true expert. Our engagement photo shoot was simultaneously hilarious and romantic, even for the introverted half of our couple. Christine's questionnaires, planning tools, and advice were invaluable in the lead up to our wedding. The day of our wedding, Christine and her second shooter, Gretchen, were energetic, creative, thoughtful, and upbeat. Christine even comes prepared with props for wrangling both dogs and kids! They perfectly captured the community, joy, love, and gratitude at the heart of our ceremony and reception. We will truly cherish these photos for a lifetime and look forward to working with Christine again in the future. If you are looking for a photographer who is both a lovely human and a true craftsperson, look no further than Salty Broad Studios!

y the day, and not be stuck taking thousands of "posed" photos, Christine listened to our wants and delivered above our expectations. She's got a warm, friendly personality and truly captured our day in a candid way. Going back through the photos, I feel like I can relive the day over and over again. Not to mention the photos are STUNNING, it is going to be impossible to choose our favorites. She is incredibly skilled, do not look any further for a photographer!

previously connected with Christine. Although she wasn't available for our full day, she connected us with a colleague who was able to fill in and handled all the photo editing. She also went an extra mile to meet the groomsmen for an extra photoshoot while the other photographer was with the bridal party. We are so grateful for all her time and effort to make our day special. The photos Christine took of the groomsmen were amazing!! They're so fun and captured the best moments. We were very happy with the editing and delivery was so fast after the wedding. Cannot recommend her more if you want bright, beautiful photos and to work with someone who truly cares about making your day and the photos perfect.

ided us through the process and helped make our wedding day so special. She is such a gifted and kind photographer!!! We are forever grateful!

and fun, yet still so organized and professional. She made it so easy to open up in front of the camera (I especially hate getting my photo taken, as a child I had to be bribed with candy, but she made it so easy and fun!). Christine handled everything so perfectly on the day and made it such an enjoyable experience. The photos are INCREDIBLE!! We are so so happy with how they turned out! Christine truly captured all the amazing moments of the day, all the great candid moments and emotions, gorgeous sunset and windy beach photos, and everything in between! It was so fun to relive the day through her photos and see everything so beautifully captured. We cannot recommend Christine more highly!

we are so glad we decided to go with her! She was communicative, friendly, easy to work with, and a lot of fun! She did a wonderful job with our engagement, and wedding photos, we actually loved pretty much all of them. I was actually amazed how we barely even noticed she was there most of the time, and was like 'Wow, i didn't even realize she got that moment!' - so if you're more of an introverted type, Christine's style would honestly be perfect. We cannot thank her enough and everything was truly amazing!

engagement and wedding photos. Highly recommended!

incredible personality that made the whole experience genuine and fun that shone through in the photos, which are better than we could have imagined. We really felt taken care of by Christine, and really felt like she went the extra mile to make sure we were at ease and went with the flow / added structure to a naturally crazy day! And again - her photos are well taken and really capture the best moments of the day. What we loved the most about her photos was her ability to capture the “natural” parts of our celebration, but still make them feel special and well-taken. She is the best, we loved her, and highly recommend her for your wedding!!!

ith being the center of attention and have been a part of weddings with photographers who were mean to the wedding party, took terrible photos, or genuinely left the bride & groom disappointed. We wanted someone who could capture us and be a part of our day. Once I found Salty Broad Studios, I knew there was no need to look at any other photographer. Christine was the photographer I wanted. She and her colleague, Gretchen, knew exactly what we wanted and understood the candid and joyous moments we wanted to capture. The photos Christine and Gretchen took truly captured the happiness, the sweet, and the personalities of us and our entire wedding party. The quality of their work was beyond my expectations and I still look at my photos in awe of what they captured. They are my favorite photos and my husband and I could not be happier that we went with Salty Broad Studios.

e day of (a feat!), organized multiple second shooters after one dropped out, helped us get coverage of our rehearsal dinner, provided TONS of great recommendations for other vendors - as we were planning our wedding from out of state this was irreplaceable and generous (she recommended our welcome drinks + food truck, menu items at our venue, hotels (literally helped us secure our waterfront room), DJ etc.). I really can't say enough good things. Christine's photography style captured the ~~ mood~~ of our wedding day. When I look back at the photos, I remember what it ** felt like ** on the day of the wedding, and she captures the laughs/ tears/ joy and emotions of the day better than any other wedding photographer we've seen (and we've been to loads of weddings/ seen tons of photos). If you want to capture the *feel* of the day - more so than have particularly staged photos or heavy edits- this is definitely the choice. No regrets on not having videographer for this exact reason - when I look at her photos I can really feel the day. She was on time for everything, thought of everything, was good-humored, and *IMPORTANT* calming & easy to be around (day of that ended up mattering a LOT). afterwards she got us our sneak peaks in a timely manner, photos in a timely manner (despite us getting married at the literal peak of wedding season) and we recently received an absolutely stunning wedding album that we will CHERISH forever. I really can't emphasize enough how important it ended up being for me that the photos remind me of what it felt like to be there on the day, more so than that everyone is posed in a certain way or edited into oblivion. Our whole family has commented on how special that aspect is and it means so much. 100/10 recommend Christine.

to our wedding day, Christine made us feel like we had always been friends with her easy going demeanor, expertise, and fun personality. She works well with all ages (children included) and is able to capture amazing photos that tell beautiful stories without that overly posed feeling. From the photos of us all getting ready, to the group photos, to the photos of the guests arriving, from capturing the pure innocence of our nephews and baby cousin, to the unique bonds between friends and family, from the the quiet and peaceful moments to the funny, loud, and spontaneous ones, she couldn’t have told our story any better! It's hard to pick just one favorite! If you’re looking beyond traditional wedding photography and wanting a photographer who will tell every moment of your special day so you feel as if you’re relieving every moment as you go through your wedding album, look no further!

commented on how great she was during the reception. She got us our photos very quickly after the wedding and we couldn’t be happier. Can’t recommend her enough.

d Studios for four hours, but she captured a lot in that amount of time. She took pictures of us getting ready, the ceremony, family pictures after the ceremony, and the beginning of the party. She asked us to send her a list of the pictures we wanted and with whom. We had so many requests that we thought for sure she would not be able fit them all in the hour we had set aside for them. Surprisingly, she managed to do all the ones in our list and then some, and we were done five minutes before schedule so we could go down and join the party. Christine is warm, kind and responsive. The photos beautifully captured our special day.

dress, rings, etc. It was of course a little hectic when she arrived the day of the wedding, but she jumped right in and got to work without needing me to stop what I was doing and direct her. The second shooter she hired, Jackie, was also amazing and got some incredible shots of my husband getting ready. The photos came out INCREDIBLE. One of the reasons we went with Christine is because of her speciality in candid photos, and they did not disappoint. Looking at the photos, they totally captured the magic of the day; it felt like I was reliving every perfect moment. She went above and beyond to get some incredible posed shots as well, from climbing down the jetty into the ocean at low tide to get a shot of us from below to creating a perfect shot of us through a porthole window in the door to the bar. I 100% recommend Christine for your wedding photography. She clearly loves what she does and goes above and beyond to make sure our perfect day is captured forever.

remony, and everything came out beautiful. We couldn’t be happier! We would recommend her for any wedding on the cape!

promptly, engaging and the list goes on and on...At the last moment my now wife & I decided we wanted our 3 dogs in some of the photos, and Christine was great, and got some wonderful, heartwarming shots with them. She also was wonderful with our 16 month grandson. If we ever needed a professional photographer again, we wouldn't hesitate to call Christine again. She's the whole package. She will help make your day perfect, and give you beautiful, lasting memories!

more than a 5 star rating because they are off the charts!

t was equally as important to us that our photos truly did reflect us both and our love for one another. Christine did so much more than that and was the perfect blend of a professional in her field and a friend through our entire process. Christine isn't your typical wedding photographer but a true journalist and artist - telling the story of your love along the way. The work she created has moved us to tears on numerous occasions and we feel truly blessed to have been the subjects of her work. The compliments on her photos are still pouring in to this day. When you hire Christine, you are in the best of hands. Her knowledge and support through your entire wedding planning process (not just about her photography) is so helpful and informative. I am confident that after working with Salty Broad Studios for our engagement session and wedding photographs that we will be working with Christine for the rest of our lives. Christine was one of the best decisions we could have made when planning our engagement and wedding photos and I am positive anyone else would say the same!

h. She listened carefully to what we were looking for and perfectly captured our wedding's aesthetic and special traditions. And, above all, her work is tremendous and exceeded our extremely high expectations. She knows exactly how to get the right shot in the right light and her work reflects the love we felt on our wedding day, not just between the two of us but amongst our friends and families as well. She and her second shooter, Gretchen, captured some unbelievable shots of our beachfront sunset ceremony and even negotiated to get us into the lighthouse tower at our venue for an incredible, memorable photo shoot. As you can see from looking through her portfolio, she brings her photojournalist's point-of-view to her work, which goes far beyond the typical staged wedding photos--she has an artist's eye for beautiful, candid moments. If you're reading this, you need not look further for a photographer--you'll be lucky if she's available to capture the essence of your wedding or special event. Our friends and family are already cooing over our gorgeous album and we can't wait to treasure these captures for decades and decades to come.

e of the most important things to me was making sure taking photos did not take up too much time on my wedding day and candid photos were captured. Christine absolutely nailed this - most pictures taken, I didn't even realize she was there!

of our wedding, her confidence and professionalism was a comfort amidst all the stress. You can really tell she knows her stuff! (we had several guests compliment us on Christine's work/style too!) Now that we have our pictures back, it has been lots of fun to relive our wedding day experience through photos and we're amazed how Christine was able to capture so many little moments from the day. It was a pleasure to work with Salty Broad Studios–thank you again for all your professional and well-executed help with regards to our wedding day.

nsive as I was an out of state bride, so all of our meetings were on zoom. She was so patient and accommodating, making us super comfortable and really worked to build a relationship with us and get to know each of us individually. On the wedding day, we had Christine shooting the bridal party during the day and the second photographer was snapping photos of all the decor, guests hanging out and playing games at the venue, and then the groomsmen getting ready. Christine has an amazing eye for detail and lighting and really helped me feel comfortable with my insecurities in photos. Christine kept us right on time through our family pictures as of course it was quite hectic getting a big group together. She made sure to snap photos during private and candid moments of my husband and I and those are some of the best shots! Christine had our sneak peeks back to us 8 days after the wedding. EIGHT! I was not expecting them so fast but we were not disappointed. I can’t wait to get the rest back next month! You cannot go wrong with Salty Broad Studios!

ot location that involved a mile hike in rising tides... Christine was in the water at times to get the best angles! We could not have asked for a better photographer. Our photos turned out beautiful and we have used them for our Save the Dates and our wedding website. Our friends and family rave about the photos as well. THANK YOU Christine!!!

ed us. She was organized, communicative and professional, guiding us through things to think about leading up to our wedding day. She was punctual on the morning of our wedding, and even thoughtfully brought some photogenic umbrellas that we used during a rain shower for our first look. She knew our venue (The Lighthouse Inn) very well and had helpful suggestions on the best spots for photos. Christine collaborated well with the other vendors and made sure we were on schedule. Neither one of us is typically all that comfortable in front of the camera, but Christine's calm, laid back and fun presence made us feel comfortable. It was raining on the morning of our wedding but cleared about 15 minutes before our outdoor ceremony, and Christine was flexible and accommodating. We had fun taking the group photos and couples shots with her, and she worked very hard to capture many beautiful candid moments throughout the day. The light changed about 50 times during our wedding, from rain to bright sun to rain again, and she adjusted seamlessly and got beautiful shots through it all. We appreciated the quick turnaround on the sneak peak too, and we loved how our photos came out. I'm thankful that she was available on our wedding date and would love to work with her again in the future! Highly recommended.

d she captured it so beautifully. She also sent me the prettiest engraved USB with my photos all on it. Everything was super professional but also she's a really cool person. I highly recommend hiring salty broad for any event but especially a wedding. Loved her!

when we needed engagement and wedding photography she was the first person we thought of! I don’t even know where to begin with the reasons why we love working with Christine. We are not people who love having our photos taken but she made it feel comfortable and even fun. We ended up with so many amazing pictures from the wedding, many of which captured natural moments and genuine expression of emotions. Christine even drove down to VIRGINIA because she knew we really wanted to work with her. We got previews of photos as soon as when we were on our honeymoon and then not much longer before we got all of them. Christine has been patient with us as we try to find all of the photos we want for our album and provided us with a sample album to help us get started. I can’t wait to see the finished product. From start to end, Christine had helped us stay on track for planning and preparing for all of the photos we want. We would highly recommend working with her, especially if you love naturally beautiful photos, lots of candids, and a relaxed enjoyable experience.

ly photographer interview- we knew she was the one! She understood exactly the wedding we wanted and recommended so many wonderful local vendors, had the perfect locations to shoot on the wedding day, and wrangled our huge family, ranging in age from 4 months to 93! She could tell when my husband and I were getting overwhelmed and knew it was time for a break, a drink or some shade. Not only was she super prompt in getting our beautiful photos back to us after the wedding, she went above and beyond to help our family members get the pictures they wanted ready for holiday cards- 5 months after our wedding! I loved all of our vendors, but Christine really knocked it out of the park. Super kind, personable, talented and overall a lovely person to work with. Cannot recommend Salty Broad Studios enough!

ing professional pictures done before, I had no idea what to expect!) and going to have a lot of FUN!! Christine tailored a package for us to what we were looking for, we added engagement photos which we did at sunset at Skaket Beach which came out spectacular. And then came our wedding at the Nauset Beach Inn, Christine and her colleague were on the ball from the minute they arrived, kept us on schedule, wrangled family, reminded us the position to hold our flowers haha, made sure we got some specific photos we wanted at the beach when the weather started to get a bit foggy, they turned out fantastic!! All the pictures are just wonderful and we are so grateful to have found Christine to document our day!

. The photos they took are stunning and loved by everyone. Their style is very candid with all the special moments captured beautifully. They will be our family photographers for life!

ctures and she created a beautiful album for us! Highly recommend.

as a huge help. Our event was a low key affair and we had Christine come out to a welcome dinner and the wedding itself. We loved how different the photos from the events feel, really capturing the vibe of each.

in Texas and had to travel up to Massachusetts for our wedding, Christine was able to meet with us over Zoom and answer all the questions we had and even brought up some good pointers we didnt think of. She scoped out the location a few days before we were going to arrive as she wanted to be able to know what locations for photos would be the best. She was flexible with changes to the plan and went with the flow of DIY wedding day, without any coordinators help. She was funny and definitely made the day a bit brighter by being there. My husband and I are so grateful to her for being able to capture the most beautiful and magical day of our lives. Thank you, Christine!

how to capture a wedding with the eyes and heart of a photojournalist. Despite not knowing our location until 2 days before, and having other restrictions and requests amid the pandemic, Christine was incredibly flexible, kind, and empathetic. Even when I called her the day before stressed about possible rain, she was open to us moving our ceremony day and working with us around it (luckily, we did not have to move it!). Not only are we thrilled with the beautiful moments she captured, but she also lovingly let us borrow the trellis he wife had made for their wedding the year before!! How kind is that? Given the intimacy of our small pandemic wedding, it was so nice to have a photographer that was a true part of our ceremony. She knew all the tricks to getting our niece and nephew to smile and pose, and hustled around the beach to cover every angle of our ceremony. Do not even hesitate to make Christine a part of your special day!!

very communicative and we were immediately comfortable with her. She captured all the perfect moments and did a beautiful job even in bright sunlight! Couldn't recommend her highly enough!

in front of the camera. She also stuck with us as we re-adjusted our wedding plans due to COVID and was so flexible with plans when it rained on our wedding day. She has an incredible ability to capture the natural moments of an event and wrangle folks for the classic posed shots. The pictures we have received really reflect our style and what we were hoping to capture.

; a true work of art. We are so grateful!

there was rain in the forecast. She is also a great person and we enjoyed our time with her. If you have the choice, definitely go with Christine!

fortable during photo shoots, I have to say that my experience with Christine was reassuring and fun. During our engagement shoot, we loved her easy-going and friendly style. Throughout our wedding day, I was relieved by how she was able to keep track of our schedule and shot list even as I was forgetting it. And when we received our pictures, I was amazed at how she had clearly maneuvered, as if completely unseen, through the ceremony and reception to capture great moments. Christine, I am so grateful for the authenticity and sense of humor with which you captured us and our special day. I will treasure these photographs forever!

to capture perfect shots with our 2-year old puppy who would not sit still! I highly recommended Christine. She is so easy to work with and all around talented, easy going, fun, and professional photographer!

photography options she offered, Christine was professional, quick to respond, and very flexible. We got our engagement and wedding photos done with Salty Broad, and we were absolutely blown away with the final photos of both! The day of the wedding, it was pretty windy which made it challenging for my bridal party and I to get the shots on the beach we were looking for, but Christine didn’t even flinch! She made quick work of getting the shots we needed so we could make it back to the happy hour to join our family. She has such a laid back, sweet personality while being straightforward and efficient. We never felt stressed or awkward getting our photos done. Christine has such a great personality and can fit in with all types of people flawlessly. I’d consider Christine in a class of her own in terms of her talent and eye for capturing the most special, candid moments with my husband and I as well as our families and friends. Since she has a background in photojournalism, Christine is super observant and detailed in the way she captured the entire day, and told a story we could look back on and remember the little details of the day that meant a lot to us. Christine was quick to deliver our final photos, and she didn’t miss one moment from our special day. If you hire her, you can relax and trust that your photos will come out gorgeous. Highly recommend!

comfortable and entirely ourselves throughout the photo shoot experience. We couldn't have imagined anything better! Neither of us particularly like being in the spotlight, but Christine put us at ease right from the start. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable, and that we had the best lighting and scenery possible for our photos. She even went so far as to suggest chasing the sunset for some final amazing photos of the night. I would highly recommend Christine to any couple looking for a photographer. She made us both feel so beautiful and our pictures came out amazing. Thank you, Christine!!

er wraps the whole time. She met with my fiance a few days prior to our surprise engagement and also helped him setup the beach where it was taking place on the day of. Her willingness to help him really put him at ease and took some pressure of of him for sure. She was great at directing the both of us on our poses and picking out the best backdrops. Our photos are gorgeous and we will cherish them the rest for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Christine for any type of shoot - weddings, engagements, family shoots ect. Thank you so much Christine from the bottom of our hearts! - L&D

to vet it for viability and executed to perfection. She’s granted us pictures that we will treasure for a lifetime! She comes with the highest recommendation.
