Hiring Ryan as your photographer will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make!

me. He had us laughing and feeling like movie stars as we wandered the streets of San Francisco, capturing candid moments that perfectly showed who we are as a couple. The session was so relaxed and fun that we ended up grabbing pizza together afterward, and it felt like we'd been friends for years.
On our wedding day, Ryan was incredible! Every single person in our bridal party and family fell in love with him instantly. He has this incredible gift for making even the most camera-shy relatives feel comfortable, which resulted in genuine smiles and authentic moments in every shot. You could hear laughter coming from wherever Ryan was.
When we received our wedding photo previews the next day, we couldn't stop gawking at them. Every preview we saw made us gasp in awe or laugh out loud because they were all so incredible. We’ve been told multiple times that our photos belong in a magazine!
Ryan isn't just incredibly talented behind the camera – he's the kind of person who makes your wedding day even more special just by being there. Don't waste time looking at other photographers, book Ryan and prepare to fall in love with your wedding photos over and over again.
I can't recommend Ryan enough- he was such a delight and positive presence to have around on my special day and made me feel comfortable, and the photos are more beautiful than I c...
ould have ever imagined! I will always be so grateful for Ryan capturing my wedding weekend.
After the dress has been put away, the food and drink long eaten, and the laughter and tears of family/friends are simply cherished memories.. it's the photos that remain.

dn't believe it, but wedding photography is probably the only tangible takeaway from an important life event. Posting this now less than 60 days after our wedding (his guaranteed production time for us), Ryan allowed my husband and I to relive the most memorable day of our lives. Brides, take note that you spend 80% of your time with your photographer so finding someone who can be your hype friend / cheerleader and capture you in the greatest possible way is crucial.
Ryan came at the recommendation of our wedding venue, coordinator, and a family friend. We had also interviewed the supposed "top Napa/Sacramento wedding photographer" in our search, but it was clear after meeting Ryan: He has mastered the art of being fun, energetic, and lighthearted with incredible professionalism, organization, and structure. All the things you want in a wedding photographer for what could potentially be a fast-paced and chaotic day. It was an easy decision for me and my husband to go with Ryan after interviewing other vendors.
Ryan is purposeful without compromising his passion for the craft. He is incredibly talented. We appreciated his communication in the days leading up to our wedding as well as after - we were shocked to receive our preview photos so early after the wedding. Our entire bridal party was impressed with his timeliness and mentioned multiple times how much fun they had working with him.
Run, don't walk. Hire Ryan - we've done the thinking for you.
We had the best time with Ryan during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. He is funny, charming and so thoughtful in everything he does. Him and his team also captured suc...
h amazing moments on our wedding day and we can’t thank him enough. He is super responsive and genuinely cares about all his clients. He also worked so well with our wedding planner. Everything was truly flawless!!
Ryan is simply the best--enough said! On the day of our wedding he struck the perfect balance between wrangling our group and making the experience fun and memorable. It's been s...
everal months since our wedding and I still enjoy looking at the photos every day. We opted to upgrade to the package that includes a photo album and we are so glad we did so. We've had a fabulous time reliving the day with friends and family. Ryan is a joy to have be part of your special day.
Ryan is the absolute best wedding photographer around. For background, Ryan had photographed several of my friends weddings, so when we got engaged I knew Ryan was the only photogr...
apher we wanted for our big day! Ryan is kind, professional, and so much fun to work with, not to mention his photos are flawless. My husband and I are both uncomfortable in front of the camera, but he made the engagement and wedding photos a blast to take! Everyone in our wedding party loved working with him too! When we got our galleries back we had too many good photos to choose from--something I didn't think would ever happen! Ryan is, without a doubt, the person you want capturing such an important day!
So first, I have to say that I am a wedding photographer, but when my sister was getting married I wanted to relax and enjoy the day, not take photos. We found Ryan on a recommend...
ation from our wedding venue, and I kid you not, he is the BEST photographer we could have chosen. He was so personable with everyone and made something that can sometimes be a chore feel so fun. Everyone was at ease and multiple people asked which of us knew him, because he was so comfortable he seemed like one of the bridal party. I absolutely cannot recommend him enough and will always recommend him to anyone. If you need a wedding photographer, you will not only not regret hiring Ryan, you will thank your lucky stars you got to have such an incredible person photographing your event!!
We could not have been more thrilled to have Ryan photograph our wedding this past weekend. With Ryan, you know you’re going to get photos with great lighting, natural poses and ex...
pressions, and beautiful color. What really separates Ryan from other similarly talented photographers is his ability to connect with, comfort, and encourage his clients. He makes you feel at ease and relaxed while working with him and has no issue juggling all of the ‘must-have’ shots or maneuvering around boisterous wedding guests. He has most certainly earned his spot as our lifetime family photographer.
WOW is all I think of when reflecting on our whole experience with Ryan Greenleaf. When we got engaged, we knew an amazing photographer was non-negotiable. We spent lots of time re...
searching and searching for a great photography fit. We were drawn to Ryan’s artistic style, and those genuine, natural smiles he gets out of people.
Every step of the way Ryan was kind, professional, and passionate. We were nervous for our engagement shoot, but Ryan just has a special way of making you feel at ease, comfortable, and beautiful. He was more than willing to come out to our private family property and pick out the best locations. He truly has an eye for breathtaking photos, and will do anything for THE shot.
My jaw actually HIT THE FLOOR when I saw our wedding pictures. Like I did not know what to do with myself!!!!!! He outdid himself with these photos. Every single one is incredible, natural, and gorgeous. COUNTLESS people commented on and told us how amazing our photographer was! “That photographer is awesome!” “He captured the start of your lives together so beautifully!” “He took wonderful photos, and was so unobtrusive!”
Ryan is not only insanely talented and will get you fierce wedding pictures, but he is also just a wonderful person and friend. He is hilarious, thoughtful and joyful to be around. We appreciate and value Ryan and his photography SO much. Thank you for everything Ryan! We cannot recommend him enough. One million stars!

We first met Ryan at a friend's small ceremony at SF City Hall and we could immediately tell he was super talented, very professional and frankly fun to be around. We asked him to...
do our wedding (and engagement) after meeting him on that occasion. We couldn't have made a better decision.
We were terrified to take Engagement photos because we thought the whole concept was awkward and a little cheesy -- but as soon as we met Ryan at 6am in SF to take morning shots, he quickly put us at ease and made us feel so special and the process feel so effortless. The photos that he delivered were EPIC and we were so happy to have him.
We had our wedding last weekend, and he somehow managed to eclipse the talent and professionalism we experienced the first time around. He's a true pro. He knows how to get all the right shots (and with a large family, this was no small feat). He has a super creative eye for light and surroundings. He coached us and our family in a way that immediately conveyed authority and experience. And best of all, he knows how to make everyone look amazing. As of now, we've only seen the sneak previews, but from what we can already tell--these are going to be some of the best photos ever. Did I mention, he's also just fun to be around???
Could not recommend Ryan enough! Please do yourself a favor and book Ryan!!
Hiring Ryan to be our wedding photographer was the best decision my husband and I made! He consistently went above and beyond. We planned our wedding from afar (we live in Philly a...
nd got married near Sacramento), so we didn't have a chance to do our engagement shoot until a couple of months before the wedding. I was super nervous-I had spent almost 2 years planning the wedding and stalking wedding photos, and I really wanted the photos to look great. From Ryan's site, I knew he took beautiful, artistic photos--but I was still anxious. Everything changed after the engagement shoot. Ryan was so wonderful at keeping us calm, laughing and having fun. For our engagement shoot we got to go on a short hike (we love nature) and it was so fun to have him following us. He made everything seem natural, and when he wanted to take a staged shot he was so great at making us feel comfortable. And his photos were a dream. We spent hours gazing over them. On the wedding day, he actually brought a second shooter so that he could capture all of the details perfectly. He kept us laughing through all of the family photos, took incredible shots of the ceremony, and made sure we had time to get some beautiful private portraits. He also caught some amazing candid moments. We are so, so, grateful we were lucky enough to get to have Ryan photograph our wedding! As a heads up--he books up over a year in advance (for good reason!)

y felt comfortable around him, which is extremely important when you know your about to have you photograph taken a million times! On our wedding day Ryan was extremely professional and right on time! He gave me great direction on helping me pose, and also caught some great candid moments!! Even my new husband was laughing and having such a great time! Once we got the photos back I was shocked to find that there was not a single photo that I didn’t like!!! I am so grateful for Ryan and his team for all that they did to keep me smiling and happy on my Wedding Day! I definitely recommend booking Ryan for any of your future events!!!
Luckily for you the search is over because Ryan IS YOUR GUY without a doubt!!!! I am always very nervous behind the camera and was not looking forward to wedding photos at all but ...
Ryan changed that completely. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He made myself and Tyler feel extremely comfortable and all the photos turned out amazing. Ryan is kind, funny, and caring, that and his calm energy is exactly what you need on your wedding day. Ryan did not just take our photos at the wedding... he was a support to me and my husband and all of our guest adored him, he brought such a positive energy to our big day. I didn’t really imagine myself having our engagement photos or wedding photo placed and hung around our home but they are everywhere because he is so phenomenal at what he does. I look forward to working with him again. I feel SO lucky to have worked with this amazing person.

eet moments between bride and groom…but he is a pleasure and FUN to work with. After we shot our engagement shoot several months before the wedding, we felt we had built a trusting relationship and friendship with Ryan. When he showed up on the wedding day it was so exciting and he brought smiles to our faces (great for photos!) Ryan has a natural way of making everybody feel comfortable in front of the camera and any time we felt nervous or looked too posed, Ryan would crack a joke and boom we caught the perfect shot. Our wedding day we had a huge group of family and rambunctious bridal party. He was extremely professional yet calm getting everyone together to get the shots that we needed. He was not pushy ever and again, made everything we did FUN. Nobody complained about the heat or the fact we had to take a million photos because Ryan made us laugh and we truly had fun with it.
I am so thankful for Ryan and for him being with us on the wedding day. I have heard from several family members and friends how much they loved being around him and felt this authenticity and his demeanor made the day that much better. Thank you Ryan for everything you did for us!
Ryan is a personable and professional artist. Our guests keep mentioning how easy Ryan was to smile for! He pays attention to details (e.g., held people's coats/bags for shots, ke...
pt our receiving line moving along, scanned the crowd for candids).
We had a well curated array of pictures which documented the event (flowers/clothes/memorial table) as well as captured the spirit of the day (reaction shots/dancing/guest interactions).
At the end, you will be happy to know that you and your guests will have an easy experience browsing and downloading photos. Ryan struck a great balance for us as a professional who felt like an old friend.
I've worked with Ryan Greenleaf professionally on corporate conferences and we've become friends through the process. When my husband and I decided to elope, I only thought of Ryan...
to help us document our day.
Ryan traveled to Chicago and was such a pleasure to have with us. He is professional, knowledgeable, and brilliantly creative. We aren't often in front of cameras but we had so much fun that we forgot there was a camera involved. Now we have the most impressive photos documenting our day and we look at them every day, cherishing the process.
Thank you Ryan!
Ryan is amazing! My wedding was supposed to be in Napa, and was frantically moved to Temecula, California due to the fires. Ryan happily traveled to accommodate us, and was an ab...
solute pleasure to work with! Everyone at the wedding was impressed by him, and he made us feel so comfortable! The photos came out better than I could have hoped for! He's top notch!
We loved working with Ryan! Not only did our photos turn out great, but he kept the entire process fun. It was important to us to hire a photographer with a great personality since...
we spent 8+ hours with him on our big day. He was such a pleasure to work with, and we could not have made a better choice.
Ryan is amazing, but that is no secret! He is kind, funny, helpful and just makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. My husband was hesitant to spend money on "just s...
ome picture" but after looking at our album last night declared Ryan was worth every penny - (DUH!! That's why I insisted on him!!). Our venue is quite beautiful and I've never seen wedding photos that did it justice, until Ryan. Additionally, I loved that he took the time to scout out the area around our venue and found perfect places for the most beautiful photos. We got married a few blocks from our home in downtown San Diego and Ryan took us to a few places where we go all the time on weekends and turned them into the most beautiful pictures. I love that our daily life was incorporated into our big day.
Just had our engagement shoot the other day, but wanted to agree with everyone else on here -- Ryan is great!
To have someone incredibly uncomfortable in front of a camera end the...
session by saying, "That was fun!" is quite a feat. We showed up unprepared and mildly terrified but felt supported throughout. We definitely needed direction to save us from our awkwardness and were given just the right amount. Throwing in a little nature walk and fun company helped as well!
We haven't seen the photos yet, but what they look like hardly matters. (Though as anyone can tell from his previous work, they'll most likely be beautiful!) Mostly I'm just thankful to have the memories and thrilled that my fiance was so happy by the end!
So yes, thank you Ryan! (and Erika!) One of these days we'd love to treat ya'll to Florez ;)
Ryan is hands down the best photographer out there. He is so talented and easy to work with.
Ryan is amazing! I hired him based on a recommendation from an old college acquaintance, so I was a little unsure about what I was getting myself into. Our communications through e...
-mail were great but I never got a chance to meet him prior to the wedding.
There aren't words to describe how great Ryan is. It felt like we had a friend capturing all of our wedding photos. We had so many compliments from wedding guests specifically about him! He was so fun and professional. I hope to work with Ryan again!!!!!
What an absolute joy to work with. For both the engagement shoot and wedding day, it felt like Ryan was just a friend along for the ride who happened to be capturing gorgeous shots...
along the way. He made everything so seamless and fun. As many wedding photogs are, he was never even kind of pushy or in our face - yet kept everything on schedule and captured every moment beautifully. 2 weeks out our pictures were up! He's a stud - I cannot even imagine how things could have gone better.
Ryan is amazing, plain and simple. He did our engagement shoot and our wedding, and did a fantastic job in a really low light environment. We expected to be able to use the lightin...
g at the theatre for the ceremony and when that fell through, Ryan already had extra lighting with him to save the day. He had the fastest turnaround I have ever seen with wedding photos (admittedly, we were a bit off season), and I would choose him again in a heartbeat.
Ryan is a fantastic photographer! He was recommended by a friend for our wedding photography! I was looking for someone who would be open to working with us and our dog, and could...
capture who we are.
Ryan answered my emails very quickly and I could tell via email I already thought he was awesome. We briefly met up just so I could actually meet him, which was fantastic! We went over his packages- pricing was on par with other local photographers that I'd looked at. (None were as welcoming of a personality as Ryan)
Ryan came up to the foothills and endured a bit of a 4 wheeling trip (while my 60lb dog was sitting on his lap and licking his face- anyone who endures this is a winner in my book) for our engagement photos. Our engagement photos turned out fantastic! Our whole family loves them! He was easy to work with, had great suggestions on how to pose/move for great shoots! Including good jokes/games for natural laughs/smiles. He made us both feel comfortable and at ease (which neither of us were expecting, since we aren't really picture people!)
Ryan arrived right on time to our venue despite it's difficult location. And he and the 2nd shooter got started right away taking photos! They were great at making sure we stayed on schedule with the post-ceremony photos. And we've got lots of great snapshots from the evening. Our photos were turned around very quickly (while we were on our honeymoon) so we could share with friends/family online. And our USB stick of photos arrived shortly after that!
Ryan is very professional, and has great technique and skill in photography!
Ryan was a great photographer to work with. he was very professional, yet personable at the same time. He was great with using my ideas, but had plenty of his own. My pictures are a...
