About this vendor
I have practiced a wide variety of techniques, my forte’ is a traditional French Butter Crème Frosting method, but I am creatively versed in the fondant world as well. My intricately decorated sugar cookies which many call “edible art” will definitely bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Castle Farms, look no further- this is the place!!
Ruthann and her bakery team are amazing and her cakes delicious. We decided to get married this past Christmas Eve not knowing a three day howling snowstorm was also coming to our ...
wedding. Ruthann could not get out of her driveway but she walked in the snow drifts and wind to hand the cake to a snow plow driver who delivered it to our perfect day. They are simply the best!
Ruthann created a truly beautiful and unique cake that looked like a real birch tree for our wedding day. She also made us the most darling sugar cookies shaped like a camper trail...
er and pine trees.
Ruthann’s work is very signature to her. One of the staff members at the venue recognized her baking right away. Her cake and cookies are works of art!
One thing to keep in mind when you hire Ruthann is that her shop is small and they have a small staff (that’s probably part of the reason the quality is so good) but this also leads to their shop having a ton of weddings to plan for. So just trust her process, everything will get done, and you won’t be disappointed!
Ruthann made our 2- tier wedding cake, various cupcakes, cannolis and cookies for our dessert table, they were all wonderful! Our guests kept flooding us with compliments about the...
desserts. We had the perfect amount of dessert based on Ruthann's suggestions. I would highly recommend!
WOW! Great looking and tasting cake! Ruthann made my vision come to life! I could not have asked for a better wedding cake!

Thank you for making our wedding day special! :)
We got married at Castle Farms on December 30, 2019. We had Ruthann make us a 2 tier (8” and 10”) cake in a semi-naked style with flowers, about 50 cupcakes in 3 different flavors,...
2 dozen chocolate covered strawberries, and about 50 heart shaped bride and groom decorated sugar cookies. Everything we tasted was delicious, and guests enjoyed it a lot too. Ruthann is super sweet and easy to work with, though she’s not very responsive to email which made planning from Metro Detroit a bit difficult (but she always answered quickly when we were able to call). Prices were reasonable (less than $1,000 for everything I listed, with a $250 deposit when we booked her), and we were able to do a tasting at her home bakery before booking. She’s great to chat with and has a big personality that we loved. I highly recommend working with her for your wedding, it was top-notch work and we absolutely loved everything!
Beautiful cake - it was exactly what we wanted, and Ruthann worked with us to make sure it was in our budget. Definitely would recommend!
Ruthann went above and beyond for us! Our wedding was a month ago and everyone is STILL talking about how fantastic our cupcakes and cake were. We got a variety of flavors so there...
was something for everyone (try her lemon cake. You won't be dissapointed.) Do your taste buds a favor and stop into her bakery. I promise you, she is worth it!!
Ruthann was so sweet and the cake was AMAZING. She truly is an artist from the outside of the cake to the inside. We had a 4 tier cake and cupcakes, and everything was so delicious...
. The cake was beautiful and every layer was a different kind of deliciousness! You won’t go wrong working with Ruthann for your northern Michigan wedding! We can’t wait to visit her store in Bellaire for some more tasty treats!❤️
Ruthann’s cakes are absolutely stunning in both appearance and flavor. She made our wedding cake and a variety of cupcakes, and we had guests raving about how delicious they were! ...
In all honesty, I have never in my life met a cupcake that tasted better than her almond wedding cake and her lemon raspberry cake. They’re PURE perfection! Often cakes can be too sweet or have a grainy texture, but Ruthann has nailed it! Neither my husband or my new mother-in-law has much of a sweet tooth, and even they couldn’t get enough!
Beyond Ruthann’s exceptional cakes, she is an absolute delight to work with. She’s incredibly passionate about her work, and she’s organized, easy to communicate with, and reliable. 10/10 recommend! I will definitely detour through Bellaire to pick up a cupcake from her adorable bakery storefront whenever I’m even remotely in the vicinity. Thank you, Ruthann, for your key role in making our wedding day so special and perfect!
Ruthann did our dessert table and it came out absolutely perfect. It was incredibly beautiful. Our favorite dessert of hers were the cannolis! Everything was so delicious though!

utiful and one of the best I've ever tasted! I saved the top to be eaten later. When I went back to it several weeks later, it was still perfectly moist and scrumptious as it was on our wedding day! Can't recommend her enough. If you are looking for a cake baker that is friendly, accommodating, and talented, you found her in Ruthann!
Hands down some of the best cake and cupcakes I’ve ever had! Plus they were so beautifully done. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful the cupcakes were!
Ruthann is phenomenal! I used her for our wedding at Castle Farms! She is so talented! Her cake flavors are lovely, but her UNIQUE buttercream frosting is something that you have n...
ever had-but will LOVE!!! I don’t have a big sweet tooth nor does my husband, however we both LOVED the almond cake and almond frosting that we selected for our beautiful cake that Ruthann created for us! She is fabulous! Great communication and delivers EXACTLY what you vision for your dream wedding cake. Thank you Ruthann!!!
Ruthann is super friendly. We ordered a two-tiered cake and 150 cupcakes in four flavors: strawberry, almond, red velvet, and chocolate, and every single flavor was delicious. The ...
cake was also beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend her!
Our cake was literally the greatest wedding cake of all time. It tasted amazing, looked gorgeous, and didn’t have any artificial colors or flavors. Our cake was three tiers and thr...
ee different flavors: lemon raspberry, double chocolate, and strawberry vanilla. Her prices are very reasonable compared to others in the area, and didn’t up charge for a Sunday wedding. Ruthann did a fantastic job pouring the chocolate on top of the cake and placing the fruit and flowers all around the cake. She was right on time and the cake held up perfectly until after dinner. I can’t wait to buy more anniversary cakes from Ruthann!
Ruthie did a great job with our cupcakes! Everyone raved about them and she had some fun and unique flavor options which we loved! The table display she set up was lovely. I did no...
t get the chance to see it before the reception (which made this Type A bride nervous) but she really pulled through. The only thing I would change is I prefer email communication and a paper invoice and Ruthie seemed to communicate by phone much more and gave me my total over the phone. This worked out just fine I just prefer a paper trail of my conversations and finances. Thank you for a yummy end to our day Ruthie!
Best Cake Baker Personality and Best Cake Maker! Kind, funny, and enthusiastic! A true delight just like her patented buttercream frosting!
Ruthann did it again! Another beautiful and delicious cake. She also made wonderful chocolate mint truffles that we used for guest favors. You won’t regret going with Ruthann’s ...

cake was beautiful and Ruthie is a joy to work with. She's kind and accommodating and helped us figure out exactly what to order given our guest count and budget. We loved our cute state-of-Michigan themed cookie favors!
