My wife was thrilled that her son was getting engaged and, at the last minute, asked if we could throw him a surprise engagement party. With very little time to plan, I immediately...
called Vetro by Russo’s on the Bay and spoke with my longtime friend Priscilla. After 30 years of experience in the wedding industry, Vetro was the only place I trusted with such an important occasion.
Despite the short notice, Priscilla told me they could accommodate us. When I arrived, Priscilla, Chief Operating Officer PJ Connolly, Head Maître d’ Joe Vacca, and owner Frank Russo were all waiting to help. Mr. Russo assured me that his team would make the celebration as special as possible—and they exceeded every expectation.
Priscilla and PJ worked with me on the menu, while Joe carefully planned the staffing for the party. Phil, our maître d’, was outstanding. He handled every detail perfectly, allowing me to relax and truly enjoy the celebration. The entire staff shined.
Mr. Russo also came into the room to greet everyone and personally ensure that everything met his standards. In my experience, few owners care as deeply as he does, and that commitment showed in every detail.
The bride-to-be’s family had never been to Vetro before, and they were so impressed that her mother called me the very next day and asked me to find out which dates were available for her daughter’s bridal shower. I called Priscilla again, and the team welcomed her with the same warmth and professionalism. She booked the shower and was excited to introduce the rest of her family to Vetro.
Pedestals provided the décor for both events, and the results were absolutely stunning. During the main course at the bridal shower, Mr. Russo and PJ personally walked around the room to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. They stopped to ask the bride’s mother whether she was enjoying herself, and she happily thanked them for doing such a wonderful job for her daughter.
From the first phone call through the final course, everyone at Vetro by Russo’s on the Bay demonstrated exceptional professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. They made two of our family’s most important celebrations truly unforgettable. I cannot thank or recommend the entire team highly enough!
Russo’s On The Bay truly exceeded every expectation and gave us the wedding of our dreams. From the moment we began planning, we were treated with such professionalism, warmth, and...
genuine care — the entire experience felt seamless, elevated, and luxurious from start to finish.
The staff at Russo’s is absolutely AMAZING. Every single person made us feel supported, celebrated, and confident that we were in the best hands. The service was flawless and attentive throughout the entire day and night — our guests are still talking about how incredible everything was.
A huge thank you to Mr. Russo, who is the definition of class and excellence. You can tell he takes pride in every detail, and it truly shows in the level of care and quality that Russo’s delivers. We also cannot say enough about Joe, who was beyond incredible. He was organized, responsive, accommodating, and made sure everything was perfect every step of the way. He went above and beyond for us and made the entire planning process so much easier and stress-free.
And the FOOD… WOW. The food was out of this world — fresh, abundant, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The cocktail hour alone was unreal, and the main courses were DELICIOUS. Every guest left talking about how this was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and we agree!).
Russo’s is more than just a venue — it’s an experience. The elegance, the service, the accommodations, and the attention to detail are unmatched. If you are looking for a venue that delivers true luxury, professionalism, and a wedding that your guests will never forget, book Russo’s On The Bay. We are forever grateful.
Thank you Russo’s for making our wedding day more perfect than we could have ever imagined.

nt about what could and could not be done. Now the day of the wedding was so stress free for both of us…just because of the level of attention everyone at Russo’s gave us.
Joe V. is the absolute best and our attendants, including Jenna, were amazing and very attentive. My family couldn’t stop raving about the food and the service. My friend said the valet held her slippers for when she was ready to change her shoes. The bar and table service were top notch. Mr. Russo came out and congratulated us. Everything at Russo’s was 10/10. Now I understand why so many people go back and hold other events there. They are truly a one of a kind business. Everyone is genuine and you don’t find many businesses that provide this level of service. You can’t go wrong with Russo’s on the Bay!
We recently had our wedding at Russo’s On The Bay, and it was truly the most magical and unforgettable day of our lives. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew we were in goo...
d hands — and Russo’s exceeded every expectation we had.
First and foremost, the venue itself is stunning. Located right on the water in Howard Beach, it offers an elegant and romantic setting with gorgeous views, especially at sunset. The indoor spaces are just as impressive — from the luxurious bridal suite to the crystal chandeliers and beautifully maintained ballrooms, everything radiates class and sophistication.
But what really sets Russo’s apart is the service. The staff was impeccable. Joe Vacca was relentless on making sure us and our guests had a great time. Our maître d’ and bridal attendant were incredibly attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt relaxed and pampered the entire day. Every detail was executed perfectly — from the timing of the ceremony to the flow of the reception.
The food was outstanding. The cocktail hour was nothing short of legendary. Our guests are still raving about the variety, quality, and sheer abundance of options, The dinner was equally delicious and beautifully plated. Russo’s doesn’t just serve a meal — they create an experience.
Planning with Russo’s was also seamless. Jennifer was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. We felt supported and heard from day one, and that made all the difference.
If you're looking for a venue that combines elegance, world-class service, and amazing food, Russo’s On The Bay is it. They helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect, and we’re so grateful for the memories they helped us create.
Highly, highly recommended!
Amazing, amazing, amazing! Mr. Russo and his team made us feel like family. Joe is the absolute best and made everything feel so seamless. Priscilla was the BEST too! She answered ...
all of our questions and helped us so much throughout the planning process. The food was killer, the atmosphere was perfect, and the team was fantastic. Chasidy was my bridal attendant and she made me feel so special. She calmed my nerves and was extremely attentive throughout the night, as was the rest of the team. We’ll ONLY be using Russo’s for our events going forward. Thank you, Russo’s on the Bay!
If we could leave more than 5 stars, we would. Working with the entire team at Russos from start to finish has been incredible. Jennifer Marino is an absolute pleasure to work with...
and does her job so well. Joe Vacca is an absolute character who will stop at nothing to make sure you have a sick party. The food was absolutely beyond words, we took home leftovers that lasted days and fed multiple families. Everything at Russo’s is modern, clean and innovative. There is NOTHING about Russo’s that is outdated or cringe. The staff went above and beyond for us on our wedding day with gifts, special bottles, etc. Russo’s is worth every dollar, truly. We are so happy we picked Russo’s for our special day and highly recommend to friends.
For starters- Russo's is a no brainer...food, drinks, staff is always amazing no matter the event. Our expectations were surpassed anything we could of imagined.

ore we booked with the venue. Before booking, Mr. Russo came into the room and welcomed us. Our Maitre'd was Joe Vacca. He is AMAZING! I must say he's amazing at what he does and HE IS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY! HANDS DOWN! Joe worked with my husband and I non stop to make sure we were satisfied and every detail was perfect. I am all about detail, and I am somewhat picky so this must have been challenging for him but he managed and dealt with me LOL. He went over the food choices with us, menus, decor, entrance, place cards, favors and more. The food is just amazing!! Everyone ranted about our cocktail hour and the 11 entrees that Russo's has to offer. They offer everything you can imagine from shrimp, tacos, salads, fruits, steak, pasta, asparagus, sushi, rice balls, sausages and MORE!! My husband and I have high standards regarding food and service, and we must they are over the top! Also – the cocktail room is indoors and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The cocktail room overlooks the water and it’s so modern and elegant. The night of our wedding, Russo’s went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of. They made sure every moment of the night we had our FAVORITE drinks in our hands, and made sure we ate. My bridal attendant was amazing and sweet. She sat with me during cocktail hour and made sure I ate a few items. She bustled my ballgown, and made sure I felt beautiful and comfortable all night.
Ever since I. W.a.s a little girl I always told my parents I wanted my wedding at Russos. Last Friday my dreams of that came true except they were way beyond my expectations. From ...
the moment I walked in til the moment I left I felt like a real princess. Joe the maître d’ was so aware of what my vision was and he made sure to bring that to life. The whole staff was super attentive and accommodating. I had some issues with my gown and each time joe and the attendant assigned to me was there to help anyway I requested. My guest are calling my wedding “epic” - raving about the food, hospitality, and how beautiful the venue is. I am super type A so to say that I felt confident with my special day in their hands says a lot. The owner came over NUMEROUS times to ask if everything was up to our standards - that speaks for itself. I would pick Russos over again in a heartbeat.
The best service and incredible food and decor.
Simply the absolute BEST! We got married (both ceremony and reception) at Russo’s on the Bay on 8/31/18 and they more than exceeded our expectations. They made the planning process...
easy and comfortable. Sophia helped us every step of the way and was just fabulous! In the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, Joe Vacca, our matire’d, answered every question and concern immediately, he put me at complete ease. He then ran our wedding like a well oiled machine! Joe is really the best in the business! My bridal attendant Hope was great! If I needed or wanted something she was back to me in a flash with it! Bravo to the chefs! The food was outstanding! The food presentation was also very impressive! OMG the bakery - cookies, pastries and CAKE that was out of this world! The entire staff is professional and very accommodating but not in a stiff unattached way, they are friendly, everyone was smiling and happy help in anyway they could. The service was seriously fantastic! Even Mr. Russo stopped by to ask us if everything was going well and to be sure we were happy. The venue is gorgeous, the pics on their website doesn’t do it justice. I could go on and on, instead I’ll leave you with this - As our guests left, many people told us that this was the best wedding they had EVER been to! As a bride & groom, I can’t tell you how happy that made us! We would have our wedding at Russo's again tomorrow if we could! Thank you Mr. Russo and your entire team for making our wedding not only our dream wedding, but an outstanding event overall! xoxo

A very special thank you to Carol and Sophia and my bridal attendant-Christina. S. Retas, (their amazing preferred vendor) for our magnificent room transformation. Our maitre'd, Joe Vacca- who is absolutely amazing and heard our every concern and made sure it was met, the night would not have been the same without you, and especially to Mr. Russo for being an absolute gentleman and in making us feel right at home. Thank you! XXO
The best wedding ever! I didn’t have to worry about anything. They had everything covered.
Russo's on the Bay is a great place for a wedding for many reasons.
1. The planning staff is super helpful. Planning a wedding is stressful, to say the least, but the staff at Rus...
so's was patient in answering all questions and problem solving when an issue would arise concerning the reception. They had the answer for everything which was great.
2. The entrance for the bride and groom into the reception was impressive. It was so original and the guests loved it. (I won't mention it online in case it is supposed to be a surprise for some people.)
3. The food! The food not only tastes fabulous, but there is A LOT of it. We chose not to get any "extras" added to our cocktail hour because the amount and type of food that is served is beyond impressive. Several guests asked after the cocktail hour if there was a dinner following and they were surprised when we said "yes". Also, the standard procedure was a choice of ELEVEN dinners, including one vegetarian and one vegan. This was great because I had a few guests who are vegetarian and one vegan.
4. The reception staff. The staff that runs the reception is also exceptional. I was treated like a princess by them (which is great!) but in addition the mothers of the bride and groom were also treated special. The reception ran like a well-oiled machine.
I would definitely recommend Russo's on the Bay to anyone getting married in the area!!

My wedding was on May 20 2017 and it was such a Beautiful day. Russos on the Bay is the best place to have a wedding . The room was decorated with such a presentable and romantic...
feel. I brought some extra stuff to display and they put them all out nicely . The food is delicious especially the cocktail hour and my most favorite part is the Venetian hour because I am big on sweets and they display so may different treats it felt like I was in a Willy Wonka setting . They even have sugar free station for my family that were diabetic. My Maitre D was Joe and he was so helpful every step of the way! His team were so nice , one of the girls Bussel my dress for me and one of the guys waited on me the whole night. He packed up few different dinners , and many treats from Venetian hour so that I can enjoy it at home . I felt like a princess on my wedding day because I was treated like a princess. Frank Russo comes and check on you during the Reception to make sure you are doing okay ! They make you feel so comfortable and at home . My guests told me what a great time they had at our wedding and that they love this venue. They have many spots on the venue to take beautiful photos whether it's our side in the garden or in front of the building or even inside of the building . Russos on the Bay is definitely the best place to have your wedding Day. My husband and I are very happy we chose Russos on the Bay and believe me you will e too ! You will be a very happy Bride and Groom.

g process was booking Russo’s as our venue. After attending several weddings this year at other venues, we really appreciated all that Russo’s has to offer. You get so much more for your money at Russo’s because they truly want you to have the most amazing day, and the food is unbelievable! From the day that we first visited for pricing to the days following our wedding when we picked up our decor, the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Joe Vacca was our Matre'd and he was AWESOME! We were in the Renaissance room and he ensured the room was absolutely perfect and set up exactly how we wanted it before the night began. He was also constantly checking in with us throughout the night, making sure we had the best time and leading us through all the details that you don't think of (but don't have to because he has it all covered!). Mr. Russo also came into the room multiple times to check in with us and our parents. As for the perks, the grand entrance was a huge hit! We also added a hospitality hour (open bar in Crystal Lounge) so that we could take family photos before cocktail hour, a mini venetian hour with extra desserts brought out to each table and an after hours party in the Crystal Lounge with open bar and snacks. We are still getting compliments from our friends and family about what a great time they all had! I can’t thank Russo’s enough for such an amazing night – we hope to be back there soon to attend someone else’s wedding!

of his catering managers have been with him for years and their experience showed. They were honest and so easy to work with. Nothing about this process was overwhelming which for a bride with over 350 guests, could have been very difficult. My church was on Long Island so we chose to do our pictures at the garden courtyard at Russos. Staff was there and ready as soon as we showed up, greeting my wedding party and immediate family with drinks and smiles. The cocktail hour is one of things my guests are still raving about, from the selection to the quality of food. Russo’s took care of all the coordinating with my vendors which meant one less thing for me to do! The Russo’s team never missed a beat, from the food, each table having its own server/waiter to my amazing entrance (we came out of a staircase behind he dj) everything was just flawless. If you haven’t been out to see this venue than you are truly missing out!
What could we say? Russo's on the Bay made our dream wedding come true right before our eyes. The entire staff at Russo's on the Bay helped make our wedding day more special than w...
e could have ever imagined. From the moment we made an appointment to first view the venue, to the very last minute we left for our honeymoon the staff was attentive to every single detail. Frank Russo, Joe Vacca & staff were beyond accommodating to myself, my husband and both our families. There was not one thing missing from the entire event. Joe Vacca truly helped make my dreams a reality by making all my visions possible. We were beyond satisfied with the service at Russo's on the Bay. We look forward to many more family celebrations for the Costa's at the beautiful Russo's on the Bay. - Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Costa, (Wedding date 10-07-2017)

5 Stars all around for Russo's! From the day we made our decision to book with Andrea (Sales), to the day we got hooked up with Joe Vacca (Maitre d), our experience with Russo's ha...
s been nothing but fantastic. Joe is amazing with communication, details, and treats you like family. Family and friends were wow'ed with the overflowing amount choices during cocktail hour, and were so surprised with the elevator entrance in the Tivoli room. There are very few venues in NYC that have such spectacular options for the newlyweds' entrance -- and we are glad we found the best one! Location was convenient for guests from both Queens/Long Island and Brooklyn/Staten Island, and we did not have to drive through a forest and through the woods to get there.
We could not believe the night was over already, when Joe and his team helped pack up our things, along with plates and trays of food and desserts not only for us, but also for our parents, to bring home to enjoy. And also a heads-up to any prospective bride seeking out a venue: Make sure you have good chemistry with the person you're working with, and ask for Joe! If i could get married all over again, I would choose Russo's and Joe, in a heartbeat!
Russo's on the Bay far exceeded both mine and my husband's expectations for our wedding day. Picking this venue was easy since we had both been to many Russo's events. The combin...
ation of food and service are unmatched by any other venue we have visited throughout the years. Your guests will never go one hungry and will certainly be talking about the huge variety of delicious food they offer. The size of the cocktail hour, to the 11 choices for a main course, to the expansive selection at the Viennese hour is something my guests from all over are still talking about. Our wedding day was stress free thanks to the amazing crew Russo's on the Bay has put together. One person who went way above and beyond to make our special day carefree was our Maitre 'D, Joe Vacca. From the moment we met him, he made us feel as if we had known him for decades. Joe took care of everything the day of the wedding day so my husband and I could enjoy our party. He is highly professional and knows what it takes to put on an amazing show. He was extremely patient with us and made himself available at any time to answer questions we had for weeks up to the wedding. I highly recommend requesting him to work your party!!! I would also recommend booking the Crystal Lounge for after hours, especially if you want to unwind a little with your guests. It's definitely worth the money. Thank you Russo's on the Bay for making my wedding day something me and my guests a day we'll never forget.

This is the place to go if you want an amazing wedding.

ing. We felt very taken cared of during the entire planning process the staff was able to answer all our questions and concerns. Plus when it got closer to the wedding we were in direct daily contact with Joey Vacca the Wedding Maitre'd who handled all the last minute things. I changed the seating chart 10 times the week of the wedding and each time he reassured me it would be no problem.
The day of the wedding The staff was with us the entire time making sure everything went perfectly. Each table had individual waitors so our guests were taken cared of no matter what the need was, including drink orders brought right to the tablw. The food was outstanding. Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour.
While the venue can be costly you will not regret the money spent. You will get what you paid for and much much more.
Its hard to really explain the level of service but here is one example. When we got in our car to go home from our wedding at 1:30am, the staff had filled our car with dinners, dessert, water, cookies. It was such a wonderful surprise and made for a great meal when we got home.
When you have a wedding at Russo's you will experience excellence in every regard and have to worry about nothing.

a lot of communication with workers at Russo’s or their vendors, but a month before my wedding they all reached out to me. Joe - my Maitre D texted me at all times & made my worries go away. He said he would take care of it all & come the wedding day everything was perfect. He showed me the reception area before guests arrived so I could make sure everything was how I wanted it. We didn’t do a rehearsal the night before, so of course I was worried. But he was right! You didn’t need one. He told everyone where to go and made sure everything went smoothly. My guests had the time of their lives, complimenting the scenery, the decorations, the food, etc. everyone who came (close to 200) said that this was the best wedding that they ever went to! I’m now hoping that one of my friends will choose Russo’s for their wedding venue so my husband and I can go as guests and enjoy.

es. Did I mention the food? Out of the world, you will never leave this venue hungry. They made wedding planning so simple. Shout out to my amazing Maître D Joanne. She did whatever she could to minimize my stress, she was amazing!
Russo's on the Bay is simply the best. I had my wedding there in June 2017 and I have not one complaint. Everything was run like a well-oiled machine and the food was delicious. ...
Four months later, people are still talking about my wedding and the food. The Viennese Hour is out of this world!
I wish I could give Russo's On The Bay endless stars. We were married on September 1, 2017 and it was a dream come true. We could not have done it without the help of the Russo's. ...
From our very first meeting with Carol (sales) to our final meeting before the wedding with Joe Vacca (maitre'd), the whole process was seamless. The day of the wedding we took photos in their garden and they came out beautiful! We walked into our room and I immediately started crying, I was so happy and the room completely took my breath away! You truly cannot beat Russo's quality and attention to detail. Our guests are still raving about the amazing and abundant food during cocktail hour and dinner. Our grand entrance into the Renaissance Room and the extravagant Viennese hour left everyone speechless! Russo's goes above and beyond and their service can't be matched. Joe Vacca & Gina (bridal assist) were AMAZING. The party ran so smooth. I wish we could do it all over again! Thank you to Mr. Russo, Carol, Joe Vacca, Gina and the entire team at Russo's!!! We couldn't have a chosen a better venue, everything was perfect. We will back again and hope to work with you all in the future!
XOXO - Heather & Joseph
