About this vendor
Ruby is a gem of an event and wedding venue. But, we'll never tell you why we call her Ruby. Beautiful in her simplicity, and yet modern for her age. Flirty but deadly-serious, just like your favorite little black dress. Ruby is a vintage space that’s been renovated with a timeless classiness.
Ruby was redesigned and rebuilt her in 2011. Ever since, Ruby has has been an integral part the historic Hillsboro Village neighborhood. And being directly across the street from Vanderbilt University in midtown, Ruby seems to be at the heart of things in Nashville.
Perhaps Ruby's greatest claim to fame is its location within a Nashville city park, what everyone refers to as Dragon Park. The advantage of being an oasis in the park in the middle of the city is clear the moment you arrive. Decks and courtyards ring the historic structure are are used for bars, catering and everything else that benefit from the outdoors.
Our focus on venue architecture and design elevates the space to what we believe to be among the finest wedding venues in Nashville. The extensive use of hardwoods, concrete and Venetian plaster combine to create a space that is interchangeably described by our clients as historic, industrial and contemporary. Perhaps because we are in Music City, we chose to deliver the most comprehensive, integrated audio, video and lighting systems of all Nashville venues. And because we own the property, we were able to restore the building to an exceptional level of quality. After all, we think of ourselves as architects, designers and engineers.
What should you expect from us at Ruby? It's an important question to ask of an independent venue. We believe in simplifying the venue experience for our clients at every opportunity - and once you begin planning, you will likely become an ardent proponent of this philosophy. Freedom to achieve a boutique, one-of-a-kind event is another tenant we hold dear. And of course integrating all of the complex audio, lighting and other systems into our design is our hallmark.
We hope to see you for a tour Ruby soon.

Ruby's main event hall is so beautiful, you could have zero decor and it would still be amazing. Brenda was very responsive and helpful prior to the event, and the day of went off ...
without a hitch - as far as I know :) - which speaks to our coordinator and the venue. They do have approved vendors, which I was leery of at first, but it made the process of choosing easier and most of our vendors had worked together before. Ruby made our wedding even more magical, while still being one of the most affordable options.
We used Ruby for our reception following our ceremony at Scarritt Bennett Center, and we absolutely loved it! The Ruby is modern and elegant, while still having such a warm and coz...
y feel. The tall wooden ceilings, floor-to-ceiling doors that open on the sides of the main hall, white walls, and modern chandeliers create the perfect canvas for whatever your wedding design may be. The patio was perfect for cocktail hour, and gave guests plenty of room to spread out. Ruby is the perfect blend of modern with classic elements. I cannot recommend highly enough!
The Ruby was the perfect space for our perfect day. It was a short distance from the busy downtown and made for a breathtaking canvas. We must have looked at 10 - 12 venues and w...
e both knew the Ruby was the one after we walked through the huge front doors. It took us a year to plan, but the Ruby team supported us every step of the way. We are thankful for all that participated.
If anyone is ever interested in using the Ruby, I would always be willing to help.

Ruby is absolutely the perfect place for any event, but it was OUR perfect place for our wedding. It's got a very unique vibe mixing natural and industrial elements to create the p...
erfect space for entertaining. Hailey was an absolute hero in the planning. We could not have done it without her. She was extremely helpful with close attention to detail and great communication with our vendors. She coordinated everything beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
The staff was so easy to work with and very accommodating. The venue is absolutely beautiful and has great lighting options and such a unique look with inside and outside options....
Ruby is absolutely stunning - it was the perfect amount of rustic/industrial and was intimate without being too small for our 100 guests. I highly recommend the lighting package (t...
he string lights are magical) and if we had used Ruby for our ceremony site as well I absolutely would have added the Edison bulb chandelier. We added on the day-of coordination and I can't imagine going without this - there are no words for how amazing Haylie was! She thought of everything I never would have and made the entire night flow smoothly. Dan and Brenda were so responsive, helped with all of my questions, and offered suggestions on how to make our floor plan work. Our families raved about how beautiful our reception was - there is no site more "Nashville" than Ruby!
Brenda and Dan who own the Ruby are wonderful to work with. They know their venue very well, and I highly recommend using them as day of wedding coordinators. Their laid back vibe,...
the beautiful old church they restored into an event venue, the wonderful location so close to downtown Nashville (but with plentiful and free parking!) all fit perfectly with the ceremony and reception we had planned. The day was absolutely lovely, and I can't imagine having picked a better venue!
Ruby is amazing. Plain and simple. Dan and Brenda were incredible to work with. The space at Ruby is beautiful, and people couldn't stop raving about how much they loved the ven...
ue. We even set up lawn games in the adjacent park. What a wonderful time we had at Ruby!
This place is gorgeous and was perfect for our wedding. The lighting from the large windows and the wooden floors make for a room that you just feel pretty in.
