Royal Strings

venue etc. The resulting violin and guitar combo of classical and contemporary music was a win-win with both the bride and groom and me, the bride's mother. They brought their own sound system, adjusted it to the size of the venue. The sound was full, beautiful and the timing worked out perfectly for the processions!

nd played several songs we requested that weren’t initially on his play list.

uld hardly process anything that was happening at the ceremony, but I was so thrilled to hear from others that they did an amazing job. Steve was super easy to work with, didn't have to worry about them at all. They just got it. They got the romantic, rustic feel we were going for with our wedding with our summer Hudson Valley wedding and they delivered. It's very hard to select musicians for weddings and we could not have made a better choice having them for the ceremony and cocktail hour. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend booking them.

re a group for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I met with Steve, the main contact person, from Royal Strings and I think we had spent at least an hour, if not more, talking about music and various other things! Steve was very knowledgeable about music and how the flow of a wedding ceremony should go music wise. I felt very comfortable after meeting with him that Royal Strings would provide us the best for our wedding day. And sure enough they did! Steve was very easy to get in touch with through emails or phone calls and promptly answered me back. He answered any questions I had and told me his honest opinions about different songs to use. They showed up on time the day of our wedding, were professional, played awesome tunes, and sounded awesome! My husband and I had asked if they could play one of our ceremony songs again because we didn't get a chance to hear it and they had no problem playing it for us and even singing along to it! Royal Strings were overall awesome and I would use hire them again in the future!

ceremony, the string duo play a variety of introductory/prelude tunes. They also learned a special song for the processional, which made my walk down the aisle very memorable. At cocktail hour, they played a variety of more modern and fun tunes. The one we got the most comments on was the "Game of Thrones" theme song. During the first part of the meal service, they started with more songs on strings and eventually switched to a DJ set of romantic classics and top 40 for dancing. Steve was wonderful to work with before and during the wedding, from finalizing the playlists to taking DJ requests at the event. He was very responsive through emails and also available to talk to by phone. Steve has a laid-back and easygoing personality, but was a consummate professional. His partner on violin was also very pleasant and accomplished. Their experience and polish really comes across in their presentation and set a great tone for the wedding. Royal Strings are a great value for their quality, and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have had them as part of our wedding!

e ceremony. They also entertained guests during cocktail hour which was a nice prelude to the lively reception. LOVE THEM!

ix of classical and modern. The wedding was held outdoors in the courtyard of the Olde Mill Inn. The setting was beautiful, and Steve's duo of guitar and violin just added to the beauty of the space. The minute I heard the music playing for my wedding party's entrance I started getting emotional, it just sounded so beautiful! Everyone commented on how wonderfully Royal Strings set the scene for our ceremony. They were fantastic and very affordable!

responsive and professional. All of our guests, young and old, kept raving about the music and how unique the selection was. My father and I walked down to “In my life” by the Beatles and my husband and I ended the ceremony with “white wedding” ;) My maid of honor even mentioned that she was composed until the music started to play and her eyes filled up with tears, it was so beautiful. I highly recommend Royal Strings, They were absolutely fantastic!

willing to learn to play any song we wanted! We became so excited about the ceremony and cocktail hour music. Steve did a fantastic job during my ceremony. He knew exactly what parts of the song to play for particular moments and I was truly emotional as I was walking down the aisle. We got so many compliments from friends and family on what a great job Royal Strings did. Thanks for everything Steve!

rides introduction, "Here Comes the Sun", made all of my bridesmaids cry and I LOVED their rendition of "Just Like Heaven" for the recessional. We would recommend Royals Strings without hesitation.

. People are still asking us about the music at our wedding!

everything would go well for the wedding. I even asked Steve to transcribe a piece of music for my ceremony. I simply sent him a youtube video of the song and the next day I recieved an e-mail that it was transcribed and ready to go! Sure enough, on my wedding day the song played for my bridal party's entrance and it sounded just like the recording. I was amazed. We recieved so many compliments on their musicianship and the wide range of songs they played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They played pre-ceremony, ceremony, and quickly rushed into cocktail hour to play that too! The music added so much to the wedding and I am so thankful to them both. All of our guests loved them, too!

were extremely reasonable in pricing for the beautiful music you get in return! They literally will try to learn anything you want them to play. My favorite band is Coheed and Cambria, and for my cocktail hour, they played "Welcome Home". It was amazing! I was so happy! I would recommend them to anyone!

. Would love to give you more than 5 stars
