We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Roots in West Town and had a fantastic time! The team was great to work with when planning our rehearsal dinner and were very accommodating w...
ith food restrictions and allergies (nut allergies, gluten allergy, garlic intolerance). Despite changes to their staff, Hilary was able to pick up our event details right away and jumped into helping us plan seamlessly. The rehearsal dinner itself was a success with many thanks to our fantastic waitress who went out of our way to make our day special. She kept us up to date on our bar tab and when she found out that the cake balls we had ordered were for one of our bridesmaid's birthdays, she even went and got some candles so we could sing happy birthday in style! The food was delicious and a huge hit and the event space in the back was nice and private for our party. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back to Root's for dinner sometime soon!
My husband and I got married at Roots Printers Row in October of 2021, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back, off beat, low-maintenance wedding venu...
e. It made wedding planning a breeze; we just had to go through their menu!
The rooftop is stunning on its own, so you don’t need much decoration unless you want something for your table tops. They have plenty of plants and various decorations throughout. The venue is also very weather-friendly. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the open roof and giant open windows. If not, you can close the retractable roof and windows, and it’s still beautiful.
The food was fantastic, with something for everyone. Be sure to order extra mozzarella stick appetizers—they were a huge hit and we still hear about them to this day. We had lasagna and salads for dinner, and then brought out pizza for late-night dancing. No one left hungry! The drinks were also perfect.
Lastly, the staff was amazing. They were so kind and excited to be a part of the wedding, especially since it’s not typically a wedding venue. It really makes a difference when everyone seems to be having a great time.
We had our quick, 8-minute ceremony, which they turned over very quickly for the reception while guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers. We had a small 5-person live band play until around 10:00, and then had a family member DJ for the rest of the party. It was truly perfect for us and our 100 guests.
