Robert J. and the whole catering team were honestly amazing to work with from beginning to end. I probably asked a million questions before we even booked, and they were always so ...
quick to respond and incredibly kind and helpful every single time. They worked with us so patiently through every step of the planning process, and anytime we had a concern or a random question, they were right there with a solution. Everyone we spoke to along the way was professional, friendly, and just really easy to work with. On the wedding day itself, they made everything run so smoothly from the moment they arrived at the venue to the very end of the night, we didn’t have to worry about a single thing.
Ultimately I'm very disappointed. Figuring out pricing, scheduling, and payments with this caterer was very difficult. My contract was drawn up incorrectly multiple times. They nev...
er offered to do a tasting with us, I had to ask. Their payment system didn't work correctly and I had to contact them multiple times to find a way to make payments properly. Not to mention that they gave me conflicting information on when payments were due. Their contract was not clear on the contracted time and the cost of the contracted time, causing me to have to rework my entire cocktail hour only a few months away from my wedding day. They threw out all my leftover food, despite me signing the release form for it and our parents doing lots of coordination to be able to take the food home. They never asked me, my husband, my family, or my day of coordinator if we wanted the food. They never cut my wedding cake for my husband and I and our wedding party, only the sheet cake I got for guests. The only thing I can sort of commend them for was the food. Although my favorite part, the green beans, were heavily over seasoned and nearly inedible on the day of. I honestly can't believe this vendor is recommended on The Knot. I would not recommend them at all.
We recently had Robert J cater our wedding and they were simply amazing!! Their communication was awesome, they made sure all of the little details were all ironed out in advance, ...
and then on the day of checked in with us to make sure everything was going okay. They helped us so much with setting up our cookie table and cake cutting and just made the day so much easier in general. Thank you!!
We had Robert J Events cater our wedding over the weekend and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. As an out of town couple, they were beyond accommodating! Our...
guests loved the cocktail hour and dinner food. The staff was great with even checking in on us (the couple) to see if we needed water, food, etc while we were off taking pictures which we felt was so considerate. We highly recommend them!
We chose Robert J. Events to cater our wedding at Happy Days Lodge, and they were nothing short of amazing. From the planning stages to the big day, they were incredibly attentive ...
and helpful.
Having a venue without an in-house caterer can be stressful, but Robert J. Events made everything seamless. On the day of the wedding, their team really put my mind at ease, allowing me to fully enjoy the day without any worries.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional catering and service!

I appreciated all their help and everyone loved the food at our wedding.
We had to change our wedding plans during the Spring of 2020 due to Covid-19. The owner, Jeff, let us move our deposit to a date in August 2021. However, shortly after this, we dec...
ided we were going to have a small wedding in 2020 and cancel our larger wedding plans, since we didn't know what would happen with Covid-19 in 2021. We gave over a year of notice to Jeff, and due to the unique Covid-19 circumstances, we were hoping to get our deposit back. Jeff said if someone booked our date, he would return our deposit. I followed up with Jeff every month for over a year, and apparently no one booked our date. We lost $500 for receiving no service. We didn't even receive a portion of the deposit back. We are very disappointed.
Robert J. Events catered our wedding this past summer, and we are grateful beyond words. Jeff treated our wedding like it was the event of the year and made sure the day was flawl...
ess. It was a smaller wedding, and there were no planners or team of experts - I was a little nervous! None of that made a difference, and the experience and talent of the RJEvents Team was amazing - they knew exactly what to do. Not to mention, the food was amazing and servers and presentation so professional - we are still getting compliments. Thank you, R.J. Events!

omfortable and safe as possible. In addition to your catering they coordinate ordering any tables, chairs, tents, linens, etc. which took additional stress and responsibility off of us. The food was great and all of guests enjoyed it! The staff day of was excellent and did a wonderful job making sure we (as the bride and groom) were taken care of and everyone was very professional and polite. Would definitely hire Robert J Catering again!
Robert J. Events did a phenomenal job at our wedding. You always worry when you cater to 100+ people if the food is going to turn out okay or dry, but not in our case. My (now) wif...
e and I went with taco/fajita buffet and the amount of people coming up to us and telling us how much they loved it was awesome. The event supervisor, Amy, was also amazing. Right after we were married and away from our guest she handed us our drinks. Throughout dinner she checked up on us and made sure we had had enough to eat. The staff worked so well in the background getting things setup, presented, and rearranged. Can’t say I was upset with a single thing day of or leading up to. I will say it was a bit rough getting them on the phone at times but they were always extremely prompt with emails (I just prefer phone calls).
Cannot speak highly enough of the staff or the food! We used Robert J. Events for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception, and both evenings were perfect.
We had Robert J cater our wedding in October. We have absolutely no complaints. Victoria, who we worked with in the planning, was always extremely responsive and helpful with our q...
uestions, so much so that we'd often ask her instead of other vendors because we'd get an answer sooner. The staff was very professional and easy to work at the wedding. They worked well with other vendors and took all our special requests into account. The food itself was delicious. We got the braised short ribs and the salmon and got many complements. On top of all the excellent service through out the process, Robert J was the best value we found too. Truly a 5 star experience.

e whole planning process, and our guests were raving about how impressed they were with the food and service! It was delicious! We looked at a lot of caterers and Robert J exceeded them in terms of value combined with quality.

ing food. I'm so grateful that I decided to keep looking though, because booking Robert J. Events turned out to be the best choices we could have made.
Not only were their prices the best around, but as soon as we met with the coordinator Victoria and chef Rodney, we knew we would be booking them. The food was delicious (both at the tasting *and* at the wedding), and Rodney and Victoria were both very honest about what we would need and never once did they try to upsell any of their services. Robert J. Events was the first vendor that left us feeling SO excited for the wedding, and that's how we knew it was the perfect fit.
The day of, the staff was absolutely fantastic! They moved chairs and got guests through the buffet line quickly and with ease. Each staff member was pleasant, friendly, and helpful.
If you're feeling let down or stressed out while looking for a caterer, definitely check out Robert J. Events!

wedding. Food was so fresh and tasted amazing! The staff was so professional at the reception and I appreciated that so much. I’ve been to many wedding were catering staff was dancing or drinking after serving dinner but not with Robert J! You get class through and through. Thanks Nicole for making our reception perfect! Also get the popcorn bar. Guest are still talking about how much they loved it!
Nicole at Robert J was excellent to work with. She really knows the catering business and was awesome with keeping everything organized and my husband and I up to date. We had our ...
tasting (which was phenomenal) and then we had a conference call closer to the wedding date to go over the itinerary and menu in depth. We also met with her to pick out linens and Nicole was very honest and helpful with advice. We kept in touch throughout planning as things changed and as things progressed. On the day of the wedding, Nicole was there helping set up and called if anything was not as we had planned. She fixed everything immediately even when it wasn't catering related! She truly cared about making our day great and was so nice and helpful throughout wedding planning and on the day of. The place settings and dinners were wonderful - all of the guests were complimenting the tables and raving about their meals. We loved Robert J and Nicole!

ration for the December 30th wedding. The food was fantastic. While we offered three selections, most of our guests chose the Tournedos of Beef Tenderloin. They raved about it. All three selections were delicious though - we tried all of them at our private tasting. The chefs even fit in our private tasting on a very busy day for them. A family recipe for Christmas Sangria was used & how the bartending staff made it look beautiful for 160 guests was fabulous. The staff on that day from Nicole to the wait staff to the bartenders provided service with a smile. Thank you, Robert J Catering! Kathy, Mother of the Bride on behalf of the families
Fantastic!

ef, and the owner Jeff, are hands down the best people we have worked with for our wedding. From the initial meeting with Nicole I knew we were in good hands, and that she would be able to answer every silly request of mine. She was super responsive, organized, and up front with every little cost.
Our venue, Happy Days, required EVERYTHING to be brought in as they do not have a kitchen. And since Robert J. has been there numerous times they knew that venue like the back of their hand, and covered everything that we would need. We had a buffet for our reception and the most delicious crab cakes at our cocktail hour. I only can tell you that because Jeff, had a plate of crab cakes and other items from our cocktail hour waiting for us at the head table since we were running around with photos. Thank you for that Jeff!!
Robert J. was my favoritest vendor that we worked with for our wedding, and we could not have been any more happier with how everything turned out, and tasted.
Thank you Nicole and Team for everything!!!

the Akron Art museum meant that everything had to go quickly and efficiently due to time restrictions and they exceeded expectations! I would definitely recommend Rober J Events for your special day!

re wonderful the day of - she went out of her way to be sure we had the fun, stress free wedding that we wanted. Robert J pricing is very affordable and worth every penny spent. All of our guests raved about our wedding food being awesome and I have nothing but praise for this catering company. Thank you Robert J for helping to make our special day perfect!
They cater to our work several times a week. Hopefully their wedding food is better. What they serve at our work tastes like it came from Sam's Club frozen food. Based on that ...

t J. was definitely more affordable than most of the caterers, but it was the meal that sold us. We did a buffet with the chicken cordon bleu and the sirloin, both of which were absolutely delicious. (I saw several cleared plates at the wedding!) Not only was the food amazing, the service was fantastic. I felt very taken care of during the whole event! I can't imagine going with any other caterer for our big day.

ride into his work. He was very helpful with our food choices and gave us some excellent tips on how to make sure the night ran smoothly. This is not your typical wedding food, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Everyone loved the food and they made sure to tell us about how they went back for seconds. The wedding packages they offer are very inclusive (china, linens, napkins, flatware, glasses, etc.), unlike other places that add on charges. We also used Robert J for bar back service and bartenders. We were allowed to supply our own alcohol and Robert J supplied all the mixers, juices and garnishes. The bartenders were extremely friendly to all of our guests. I would highly recommend Robert J Events for any catering and bartending needs.
They far exceeded our expectations and the food was amazing...they truly went above and beyond and I would resend them for any kind of catering!
Robert J. did a fantastic job with the food for my wedding. Everything was beautifully cooked and finished. The distribution of dinner went a little late, but that was really not...
their fault. I had a late ceremony and pictures took WAY longer than I wanted them to. Every consultation they had with us was very professionally conducted. They were a preferred caterer for my venue, which made narrowing down caterers much easier. When we went to the first meeting, they had a floor plan of my venue and could draw out where things should go, and explain how the night would flow. As an architect, I loved that. The food they gave us as a tasting was presented 'as it will be at the wedding' and I think they undersold it. It was even better at the wedding than it was at the tasting. Their pricing was also very straight forward, and they give you lots of options.
Another one of my favorite vendors. Did above and beyond what we asked of them and the food was amazing even though we were late getting to the reception. Can't recommend them en...

This was one of 7 we shopped between. We were so pleased with their attention to detail. We worked with Nicole who was awsome and reassuring through the whole planning process. ...
They took care of linens, place settings, back drop, bartenders, and food. They worked excellent with the wedding site and DJ to make everythig perfect! It was amazing to see that Robert J himself came to check on things and introduce himself. This made my wedding memorable!
Robert helped us create the perfect menu for our reception and his chefs and staff are truly amazing!!

Being the bride i was so busy i almost forgot to eat, but my husband made a plate of food and brought it over to me and I am soooo thankful he did because it was DELICIOUS.
some of the things we put on our menu:
- sausage meatballs
- alfredo with bowties (pasta bar)
- cheese plate

- mini pizzas
-bruchetta

getables. The food was amazing! All of our guests could not stop commenting on how wonderful the food and the service was. Everyone from Robert J. Events made sure that the bridal party was taken care of and that we had everything we needed. I found out later that one or two tables did not get champagne but that might have been an oversight on my part. Everything was amazing and I could not have asked for better service or food.
