ngs about this venue that we absolutely loved. First and foremost, the food is phenomenal. Everything came out quickly, was delicious, and our guests raved about it. The serving staff was also wonderful, especially Maria, who saved the day! She was kind, attentive, and constantly made sure everything went smoothly from the moment we booked through our wedding day. The venue itself is also gorgeous, and our cigar bar outside was a huge hit. We are genuinely grateful to the Riviera for being part of our wedding. That being said, there are a few things future couples — especially those planning a larger wedding — really need to know before booking. None of these things ruined our wedding, but they are things I wish had been explained upfront. The biggest issue was the indoor capacity when weather doesn’t cooperate. We had rain on our wedding day, so our ceremony had to be moved inside. With 230 guests, the space was extremely tight. The cocktail hour was very congested, and several guests mentioned that they didn’t get a chance to try all of the food because there simply wasn’t enough room to comfortably move around. The ceremony was also very tight, with some guests standing and the aisles extremely close to where my husband and I were standing. If you’re planning a wedding around this size, I would strongly recommend asking exactly what the indoor setup looks like in the event of rain. The bar situation is another thing to consider. With 230 guests, one bar is not enough. In my opinion, a second bar should be included for a wedding of that size. There were also some smaller logistical things that caused more stress than expected. The venue requires all decorations to be placed in large storage bins that you have to purchase yourself. When you’re spending close to $60,000 on a wedding, making a last-minute Home Depot run for huge bins is not something you’re necessarily thinking about. I genuinely assumed they were provided and wish I had known this when booking. We also had an arch that the venue would not allow us to store there. Two weeks before the wedding, I had to purchase additional insurance and find someone to bring it to the venue. It sounds minor, but it caused a surprising amount of stress, and my uncle ended up doing the drop-off and therefore couldn’t be present for our photos. These are the little details I wish had been communicated beforehand. The other major inconvenience was the 30-minute arrival policy. By the time we arrived, guests had already started showing up, so we couldn’t take the bridal and couple’s photos we had envisioned at the venue without being seen. We had to find a separate location, which meant additional travel, planning, and permits. We would have loved to take our photos at the Riviera itself. With all of that said, our wedding was still an amazing night. The food was incredible, the staff was wonderful, our guests had a great time, and the Riviera is undeniably beautiful. I’m not writing this to be negative — I simply want to share the things I wish someone had told me before signing the contract. At the end of the day, we got married, surrounded by all the people that we loved and it was a beautiful night!

The waterfront views were absolutely spectacular and created the most breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the exceptional staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our day was seamless, stress-free, and special. She was attentive, organized, kind, and made sure every detail was taken care of so we could simply enjoy every moment of our wedding day. Since the celebration, our guests haven't stopped raving about the venue, the service, and the overall experience. Riviera Waterfront has a rustic feel with a modern touch and with a beautiful outside area for a ceremony and cocktail hour right on the water! It is literally the most perfect venue! It is so so so beautiful! Our guests were so impressed! The workers were soooo sweet and helpful! From the first day there we worked with Isaiah, he was so cool and he helped us book our dream wedding! He had such fun, kind, and genuine energy to him! He's a big reason we booked with Riviera! We had the best time, I wish we could get married here every year! Thank you everyone for making our day spectacular!

The day of was magical and was my dream come to life. We loved every single minute of our wedding at the Riviera and are grateful for their help and service.

ith the balcony we were sold! From the moment we walked in the door we immediately felt like family. The staff is incredible and they were so accommodating to ensure that we had the perfect wedding day. The entire banquet team was great to work with throughout the process and there was no need to hire a wedding coordinator because they handled everything. Julie was our maitre de and Christina was our bridal attendant they were the best and made sure that we were fed, hydrated and having the best time. The weather was touch and go for us that day and we weren’t sure if it was going to rain but they were so flexible and waited until the last possible second for us to decide where to hold the ceremony and the weather ended up being perfect. It was so great having that flexibility. The food was incredible! Our guests raved about it all night. We also used all of their preferred vendors so everything executed flawlessly. We highly recommend The Riviera to anyone looking for a stunning venue on LI. They are best in class all around!

let-like banquet hall with lots of outdoor lighting and exposed brick. The place was even more beautiful on our wedding day. What stood out to me the most about the Riviera was the staff. Our assistants for the night, Megan and Maria, were absolutely fantastic. They always seemed to be around with a new drink, or to help with the brides dress or even to get some wine stains out of my shirt! They were fantastic and the rest of the staff from the people serving food to our bartenders were really attentive and fast with the requests - there were many nice touches including the staff setting up grab and go his/her cocktail drinks prior to the start of cocktail hour - which helped to keep the lines moving (this small touch is something i've never actually seen at other peoples weddings). What surprised me most about the staff is how it rained all day, the night of our wedding yet somehow by 530pm (when the rain had passed), every chair for the ceremony and the outdoor cocktail hour setup seemed completely dry as if the rain never happened at all. The attention to details, the efficiency, and the level of service we received was far far beyond the expectations either of us had. The Riviera recommended the band we used for the night and they were a huge hit as well. The acoustics are great and people danced all night. Weddings are crazy expensive but as a whole, we felt that we got great value for the cost as the staffs service was truly grade-A. Nobody was hungry. Everybody was happy. The Riviera is a great place and we have zero regrets about our choice.

I’ve had my heart set on it ever since that beautiful June day. The venue is as gorgeous today as it was then, the food is delicious, the Viennese hour can’t be beat, I absolutely love the gazebo overlooking the water, their preferred vendors are excellent, and the staff treats your wedding day as though it is just as personally important to them. We worked mostly with Tara throughout the planning process and we all loved her so much. She is so down to earth, personable, accommodating, and helpful. We joked several times that she’s part of the family now. She really worked with us to make it a day we could afford without skimping on any details. We often brought both sets of parents with us to our meetings because we wanted them to be part of the excitement with us, and she treated everyone so wonderfully, involving them in the discussion and taking questions, thoughts, and opinions. As we got closer to the wedding we worked more with Irene (because Tara deserves a few days off!). She was so joyful and excited to walk me through the processes, and when I came to bring my decorations and extra items a few days in advance, she let me set up things exactly how I wanted them and then took a picture so she could recreate exactly what I envisioned. Irene was so warm and friendly and she made me feel like she cared about our wedding just as much as we did. Our maître d was Megan and she is just so cool and nice. She really knows how to command the attention of a group of people to make things efficient but also still fun! I immediately trusted that Megan had everything under control, and she absolutely did. I found myself saying multiple times "Megan is really good at her job". When we had our rehearsal dinner, there was a downpour across pretty much the entire island except at The Riviera (full sunshine!) and most of our bridal party was late. Megan never made us feel rushed when it came time to start and she filled the waiting time by asking questions about our vision for the day and taking notes. When everyone got there, she was able to efficiently take us through a rehearsal twice outside and once inside. On the day of our wedding she made everything run smoothly. I so enjoyed working with her! Our bridal attendant was Christina and – true to her title – she was SO attentive. She was kind and friendly and made sure my every need was met. She bustled my dress three times because I kept picking up and shaking it while I danced, she always made sure I had a glass of water (apparently weddings make me thirsty) and always asked if I wanted my favorite alcoholic drink too (prosecco). She and Megan also made sure my husband (!!) and I had a few minutes alone together during cocktail hour so we could eat and decompress from the ceremony. We really appreciated that! She and Megan also sent us home with LOTS of leftover food and goodies. I will be eating cake and cookies for days to come! I cannot recommend The Riviera more highly. They were so wonderful to work with through every single step of the process and they made all my wedding dreams come true. If you’re wondering “is it worth it?” the answer is YES.
