My husband and I were recommended to The Riverhouse by a friend who had her wedding there and had great service and the prices were affordable. The prices were reasonable and the i...
nside of the venue is very nice. The outside patio area is nice as well. We used this space for our ceremony. However, that is where the good things end. My husband and I had about 128 guests at our wedding. The was not enough space or chairs on the outdoor patio for all of our guests to sit during the ceremony. One of the meat dishes that we selected at the food tasting was not the same that was served at our wedding. We were supposed to Glazed Ham and pineapple, there was no pineapple. I had several guests with dietary restrictions. I communicated these restrictions to the owner and she confirmed them with me. On the day of the wedding, my guests who had the diet restrictions, had to ask for their food or there was no food for them to eat. I was informed that the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper. When the owner of the venue was informed of this, her response was that they dispensers of the toilet paper had just been filled and did not need refilling. The men's restroom does not have an handicap accessible stall. I had a male guest who is a larger man and was not able to fit in the small stalls in the men's restroom. The venue did cut my wedding cake. However, they did a very poor job of cutting it. All the pieces that were cut were of various sizes and shapes. I also did not receive any of my left over wedding cake at the end of the night. I believe that it was thrown away. I was also informed by my guests that the staff was so eager to clean glasses off of tables near the end of the night that they were taking full glasses of alcohol that had not yet been drunk from right in front of guests as soon they guests were not looking. The whole process of working the the owner at The Riverhouse was a rollercoaster. The email address for the venue is for the owner's husband (who is the co-owner). He does not reply to his emails. There were a lot of issues with table set up and the seating of guests. I would not recommend The Riverhouse to anyone. I am glad that my husband, myself, and guests still had a great time. But the amount of stress and issues that I had with this venue almost ruined the night for me.
Pros: great food, friendly bartenders/food staff, beautiful outdoor area.
Cons: venue double booked my date, didn’t want to uphold their contract obligations, changed details of m...
y wedding the day of without telling me or groom, dinner was late which threw off the whole event timeline, lots of parking and space issues (minimum 125 people should actually be maximum), food safety concerns (leftovers they boxed for us were kept out at room temp for 4+ hours), the venue was dirty when my team came to set up (this was 2 hours before my reception), I received multiple complaints about the staff being rude and unprofessional with my vendors/set-up team. Even during process of pricing out photogta/dj I was told by multiple vendors how rude this venue is to staff.
Venue was great, food was great. Everyone working seemed so nice. I sort of like that fact that they didn't take credit card for payment because now I don't feel like I'm in debt. ...
We didn't have a ceremony (didnt want one), only the reception. We got married a year earlier in secret and decided to do a reception on the one year anniversary to celebrate with everyone.
I’ve used this venue for multiple events and have even been in a couple weddings that chose this venue as well. The only issue I found is feeling very rushed when it’s MY day and t...
he staff get paid regardless. I also paid for the premium bar, which included the outside tiki bar and unfortunately the venue did not open it. That was one of the reasons we chose to host our wedding here and when we woke up the next day and realized we were disappointed to say the least. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. All in all had a good time!
I feel in love with this place for as soon as I ended the building because if is a beautiful place . The place is good for what they offered . But then …. When it comes down to the...
final appointment to pay there was so much that was offered but not giving to us .I was told u didn’t pay for that stuff it was all extras . Umm no . The owner used covid as a reason for everything . We didn’t get to taste our food before hand . We didn’t get the late night snack that was suppose to be included . The owner told us we had to cut our cake before dinner so they could serve it with the ice cream they serve but yet they didn’t serve the ice cream or cake they put it up on a table and didn’t even tell us it was there so there was the 100 ice creams we paid for melting away . No one not one person ate the ice cream because it was all melted then removed before anyone could even eat it. The husband of the owner you deal with was the one that married us . We paid $125 for this service and he called me by the wrong name . A males name and then introduced us after and say the brides last name rather then the grooms last name .So my husband had to correct him . We paid for an extra hour of time that also included extra half hour of bar . Well our wedding started late and yet she still started our bar time from the time the ceremony should of ended even though the ceremony ended a half hour later then it should of . She tells u she calls last call 30 mins early so u can get a bunch of drinks before the bar closes but then refused to let ppl have more then one drink . Very rude on ur wedding day to guest and wedding party. My dj even had to argue with her . It was crazy !!!!! My dj said he has never seen a place ran this way . Also we got a whole list of what was going to be offered at bar but yet there was only part of what they said there would be . The food is not good . I didn’t even eat but my salad at my own wedding .
One of the best venues I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of! Our Host and Hostess were so very accommodating to all of our needs and made my daughter, the Bride feel so co...
ntent-with nothing to worry about! She and her new husband shined that night, they made sure of that! Every single need was met! Thank You Mrs. Cindy, every detail was perfect!
My husband ended up finding this hall and we liked it because of the reasonable pricing and everything that it offered. I have had multiple guests tell me that they thought it wa s...
uch a beautiful venue and they all loved the outside patio. I am so glad we decided to go with this venue. The food was great as well as the drinks! They offer an option to use their bar or to bring your own alcohol to serve. We were going to bring our own alcohol but decided to use their bar because it became too much of a headache along with everything else we were planning! They are very accommodating and the owners were very nice! The venue can do the ceremony as well however I cannot give feedback on this because we did not have our ceremony here.
My husband and I eloped and had a delayed ceremony and reception here. We were very excited about all that was offered with the price seeing as we had 7 months to plan! As time wen...
t on we found out that it was practically impossible to get a hold of Cindy! Still things went smoothly up until our final payment- She forgot we were part of the previous pricing and tried charging us $2000 more plus we were told an officiant would be included and found out 5 days before that there was an extra charge. Also, we were told the decor on the dance floor was for winter weddings and could be removed- until we came in for the rehearsal then she showed us it was glued to the floor! Still everything looked great when I arrived at the hall the day of and the entry to the ceremony went beautifully! We however did not have the officiant at our rehearsal (seeing as it was a last minute decision) and did not know that he would be standing in front of our guests in the pavilion way! Now all of my wedding pictures are the back of the officiants head! To top it off we asked them to clear out a section in the corner for our DIY photobooth- which they did- they stacked the chairs to the side of it- TACKY! & we had to ask them to turn the lights on so that our guests even knew the photobooth was there. I did reach out to Cindy when I returned from my honeymoon in regards to my MOH accidentally leaving my veil and still to this day have not heard back! Overall it's not the worst for the price... but I'd go back and change some things if I could!
This banquet is phenomenal. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the tiki bar outside and the poppin dance floor inside. The food was good, the drinks were better. It is one of...
the best values in a venue that you can find. Cindy is great to work with and her husband did a great job as our officiant. Couldn't have asked for much better!
Everyone thing was perfect from the food to the decorations. The hall is extremely accommodating , professional and personal. They made our perfect day.
for what I paid it was ok. I bought all my liquior and within the first hour we were running out because they over poured and we had complaints drinks were too strong. They used th...
e wrong colored napkins than we wanted. We wanted to save the top tier of our cake for our anniversary and were even asked if we wanted it saved and they cut the whole thing up. Bathrooms were disgusting and the owners were rude and pushy.
We were able to do an outdoor ceremony at their beautiful gazebo and have a wonderful reception inside. The price is extremely reasonable and you get a lot of extras. Centerpieces,...
a tiki bar (serving 2 frozen drinks), and late night snack was included! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious!!!
I loved that they took care of everything for us!!! They set up the favors, our very unique table numbers. The food was great!!!!!
Riverhouse Banquet Center is a great value for your money! If you are on a budget and want to keep it small, this is the place to go. Cyndi was very accommodating to our needs an...
d very responsive. The bride gets ready in the bathroom, which is kinda small. Make sure to have your ceremony outside, the pictures turn out beautifully. The food is great and the wedding hall is very personable. I would definitely recommend it!
I would like to start off with how much Cindy and her staff were so helpful to me. The hall was beyond what I expected and looked absolutley beautiful. They accommadated everything...
for my wedding from gorgeous decorations, delicious food, to even wrapping all left over food for me....I could go on and on how pleased i was with everything. I must say that my guest towards the end of the evening were starting to get extremely out of control and some behaved beyond embarrassing to myself (alchol indused) and i started panicking but Cindy made sure my evening wouldnt be ruined by them and continued to inform me everything was ok (although, i believe any body else owning a venue would NOT of put up with them). I could not express enough gratitude to Cindy and everything she done for my husband and I on our wedding day. Thank you so much!

Great value for your money. It may not be the most elegant place ever, but it's a place that grows on you. It's a banquet hall, but it's very small and intimate. Dan and Cindy, the...
owners, really get to know you. They're willing to go above and beyond to make your wedding day perfect.
THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL RIP OFF! They will try to reel you in with "unbelievable" prices but it's not worth the visit.
-The owners are liars and thieves.
-They double booked my...
date, promised me a refund, and NEVER SENT IT! They will not even return my phone calls or emails! I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (please check this venue out there first!)
-They were also on Fox 2 News because a fight broke out (ironically, it was with the party that they bumped me for) because the banquet center served the quest undercooked chicken!
-Save yourself time and money- KEEP LOOKING!
I got everything I wanted for a VERY reasonab;e price. I suppose you could have a niceer place if you had a bigger wedding, butit was absolutely perfect for me.;This place is very ...
good the day of the wedding, and very helpful and friendly. The only problem I had was that sometimes I had difficulty getting a hold of them. I even had a scare a few weeks before the wedding that they had gone out of business. It turned out not to be true, it was because a a place with a similar name that had gone out of business years before. But I wouldn't have had that problem at all if they would have been better about returning phone calls.
