The perfect venue for us-The communications with the owners was great, the venue itself was beautiful and so easy, and all of their staff was awesome.
We had driven by Rivercres...t multiple times on our way to Mountain bike and always joked we could get married There. When we did the tour, we knew it was for us. Meeting the owners, a mother daughter duo, Deanna and Alex had us sold. When we did the tour, they showed us all the little touches that would make our wedding unique- the beautiful wooden tables, mismatched china, cute bar, a giant closet of typical wedding decorations (various candles, hurricanes, table numbers, basic signs, ect), lawn games, ceremony location options, hearth for s’mores and all the cute sheep, mules and hairy coos.
Communications leading up were stellar and they made self (mostly) planning pretty easy. Both Alex and Deanna were a wealth of ideas, and recommendations! I think typically Rivercrest does 1 or two detail meetings but we used Alex as our coordinator. So I had many emails, a big planning meeting 2 months out and multiple small video chats. The big planning document they gave us was awesome and was a huge help for planning. We ended up using almost exclusively vendors off their list. ALL of their recommend vendors were great! Because of their location Deanna, recommend hiring transportation and that a great idea (we used beer & ale traveler)!
We had an early June wedding so our ceremony was outside under an old tree with pretty stone steps and an arch. Then we did cocktail hour out on the patio. Then dinner was a buffet inside the barn. The dinner settings were beautiful- we brought our own gold chargers and used their china. The rented table cloths, runners and napkins were delivered that morning (L’nique) and Rivercrest set up everything!
We ended up doing the dance floor under the tent outside and it was a blast since we had a cigar bar about 100ft away so people could dance and then take a break! If you dance outside I do recommend getting a dance floor we were all sooooo sore the next day.
For the bar- we brought our own liquor, and wine/beer and we used their bar tenders. Cannot recommend enough. All we had to do was bring the fixings and the recipe and the bartenders served our batch cocktails for cocktail hour. Then they kept pouring the wine and beer and mocktails all night. Everyone loved the bar team!
Getting ready- there is a bridal suite and a groomsman suite. Both are air conditioned and spacious (we had 6 bridesmaids & 8 groomsman). For the ladies we got in early enough our whole group was able to have hair and makeup done on onsite.
End of evening- we danced until 11pm. It was everything we wanted. Then cleaning up and getting out was super easy. We left 2 cars and the team put all of our decoration inside. The next morning we came by semi early (8am I think) and picked up the cars with the decorations, leftover alcohol and our leftovers that had been in the fridge.
Overall sooo happy we went with Rivercrest
