They made us feel beautiful, confident, relaxed, and completely present throughout the day.

as great at directing and posing us without things feeling awkward and the pictures came out absolutely perfect. We also brought our dog to the engagement shoot and she was in the wedding as well and Mell was super patient and managed to get some incredible shots even with as wild as she was. They got the best pictures of the whole wedding day and I was surprised to get our sneak peak pictures (100+ pics) less than 24hrs after. We had our video call with Nathan (Mell's husband) a few weeks after the wedding and got to go through all 1100+ pictures from the day, request edits, and go over the layout they prepared for our included photo album. Of course there were way too many pictures we felt we had to include in the book, so we ended up paying a little extra for the upgrade package to get a 48 page spread in the 13"x9" size. When the book came in we were blown away with the quality of the pictures and the book itself. It's the perfect way to show off our favorite moments and I can see us pulling it out for literally everyone that comes over. Overall I'm so so pleased with the quality of the pictures, the time it took to get them back, and the customer service. If I ever need a photographer again I'll definitely be contacting Mell and her team. 😊

hey captured during that amazing day, my fiancé and I knew we wanted to work with them at our wedding in North Carolina. They delivered breath-taking, heart-filled images and videos of every minute of our special day. Not only were the posed images perfection (like something that you'd see in a magazine), but the unplanned moments, the raw emotions they capture from you and your family and friends are what truly make them one of a kind. We now have beautiful images and videos capturing us a husband and wife, but we also have them of the family and friends that supported us throughout our journey. We opted for the full video package which also includes their "FOMO videos". The edited video brings us and our families to tears every time we watch it- it captures our love beautifully. And the FOMO videos show the raw moments of the day, allowing us to relive every second, even the moments we may have missed. We also received full videos of our speeches/toasts, first dances, first looks, and a video of us reading each others' letters in the morning. After our wedding, we sat down with Nathan and reviewed all of our pictures, hand-selecting each one that we wanted in our photo albums. We chose for their largest album, that came with a glass cover and was delivered in a leather briefcase for added protection. This is truly an heir-loom quality album that we love to pull out when we have family and friends visit. We also opted for parent books- smaller versions of our wedding albums, which are going to make the perfect Christmas gift for our families!! I cannot say enough about this amazing team and the stunning work that they do. We will forever be grateful to Nathan, Mell, Charles, and Shawn!

The Italian book we received and the little gift were so amazing. And everything was timely. They captured our dynamic as a couple and worked so efficiently the entire day. My biggest concern was not being able to make it to cocktail hour (because I loved our food) and they made sure I got there with 40 minutes to spare. Such a great day I wish I could relive OVER AND OVER AND OVER because of these guys. By the end of the night I swore they were my best friends! wasn’t sure I’d be able to find it in the Charleston area where the bright/white style is so prevalent. Almost every venue we visited mentioned Richard Bell and once I took a look at their work, I understood why. From our first meeting on Zoom to our reveal, Nathan was an absolute joy to work with. In my profession, I’ve worked with a lot of photographers and Nathan blew me away with his expertise, attention to detail, and his ability to keep us on a perfect schedule to get all of the photos we wanted. He remembered little details we discussed and took our vision and ideas to heart, but was also never afraid to suggest an alternative he knew would work even better and wow, was he always right! Nathan and Heather were everywhere they needed to be the entire day, but they never felt intrusive. Nathan even helped my bridesmaids with my veil and my bustle!
It’s literally not possible to put into words how incredible our photos and album turned out. The moments they captured were perfection and so many of our wedding guests not only complimented how amazing the photos were, but how amazing Nathan and Heather were to be around.
I could not have imagined a better photography team for our wedding day and since then I’ve been trying to think of excuses to hire them for another photoshoot, they’re just that amazing =). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for capturing our wedding day in the most incredible way!!

Nathan to view them, he told us he had chosen only the best ones to give us a taste of what he captured but when we saw all of them, we thought they were all pretty incredible. We chose Richard Bell Photography because of their nighttime exposures but the shots he got at our beachside wedding were absolutely amazing. The one that easily comes to mind is the pelican flyover with the groomsmen. You'll enjoy the personalities of Nathan and his team. They are professionals. They have a way of convincing you to look your best for the shots they're about to take. We are so happy with our decision to use Richard Bell Photography. We look at our wedding photos quite often.

time searching for. After viewing many of his photos online we had our initial call with Nathan and knew the search was over. Not only does Nathan do amazing things with a camera but he is a great person to know and work with. We loved his dynamic engaging photos and the fact that he has a drone he can use for photos too was just another positive in the long list. Nathan made our experience incredibly easy and has a true gift for how to organize the event and ensure that every photo we could have ever wanted (and many more) were captured. Nathan’s skill and personality were one of the highlights of our wedding day. We had many family and friends comment on how good he was and ask us how we found him. If you need a photographer for your wedding, I can promise you that your search is over. Nathan made sure our special day was beautifully captured while avoiding the feeling that we did nothing but take pictures all day. He even sent over a few sneak peek pictures the next morning which allowed us to start to share some of his beautiful work with our family and friends. They arrived on time and made sure to capture those special un-staged moments when getting ready. They consistently offered up suggestions for sites we could go on the premises and made sure to capture every moment in the perfect setting. They were everywhere throughout the night and took so many amazing photos that have captured memories we would have missed had they not been there!
Once our photos were ready for viewing, we sat with Nathan and went through every single photo (they took over 900+ photos in a little under 5 hours!) Nathan was incredibly professional and really listened to our input on how we wanted to compile our photos. We cannot recommend Richard Bell Photography enough and we hope everyone has the pleasure of working with them for any special event!

If you are having a Charleston wedding, you MUST book Nathan and his team as your wedding photographer(s)! My husband and I had no idea what to look for in a wedding photographer, ...
but when we initially talked on the phone with Nathan we immediately knew that he was our guy! Nathan will patiently listen to your vision of how you want your wedding captured and will add his creative, artistic perspective in order to capture EXACTLY what you are looking for and more!
The day of our wedding my husband and I had planned on doing pictures by the marina...of course, it turned out to be cold, windy, and rainy. No matter, Nathan and his team picked out perfect alternative places to capture all of our photos. He has asked us beforehand what groups of photos we wanted and didn't want, which made time fly by and picture-taking seamless.
The day after our wedding, my husband and I received a text from Nathan saying he was in the area and had a few minutes to capture those marina pictures we had wanted. He spent 20 minutes with us at sunset capturing exactly what my husband and I wanted, at no extra cost! That Nathan took the time to do this after our wedding was over was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding weekend!
To say that Nathan and his team put 100% effort into their beautiful photography is an understatement. We are so happy that he was able to capture our special day!
