About this vendor
Years of serving customers, hundreds of events, and personal research, taught me a major lesson in business; although the product is important, the quality of service provided with the product is even more important. With that concept in mind, I decided to open a bartending services company that will be noted for its extreme high level of customer service. High level of service which will go hand in hand with the skilled bartenders and their mixology level.
I entered the Food and Beverage industry in 2000. Since then I have been holding on to three different positions, each taught me a different aspect of the business. As an accountant for the City College Cafe (since 2002) I have learned to manage the finance part of a business, including working with vendors and cash accountability. As the head server for Old World Catering (since 2001) I learned to manage people and customers and many little tricks that makes a catering business a profitable one. Finally, I took the time to become an experienced bartender myself and today I have thousands of bartending hours in both bars and banquettes (since 2003).
Taking all the knowledge and skills I have accumulated and putting them together brought me to the point I felt I was ready to fulfill my dream and open RG Bar Services.
At this point I want to thank all the people that stand by me and support me every step of the way. People like the family and friends, teachers and mentors, and every clerk and hard working men and women that assisted me along the way, to all I give thanks. But the most important people are my customers, for if not for them, this entire business would be pointless!

professional and personable day of. We loved receiving some fun photos the bartenders snapped throughout the night. Our main priority was making sure our friends and family had great time and we couldn't have picked a better bar service to make that happen.

ear in communication, and his team was flawless the night of the wedding. I especially appreciated that one of his bartenders asked me if I wanted the last Guiness, as we ran out early (lesson learned!). A really small but nice touch! :)
As the bride, I wasn't there for set-up/take-down, but I only heard fantastic things from my day-of coordinator. All-around they were fantastic. I would absolutely book Roy again in a heartbeat!
I wish every vendor were Roy. It was a pleasure to have him tend bar at our wedding last Saturday. He was a consummate professional, on-time, and very attentive to us and our guest...
s, but also super friendly and fun to have around. He even remembered what the bride was drinking, and would have it ready for her each time as he saw her approach. He was also helpful when recommending the amount of alcohol to purchase ahead of the event, and all the wedding photos he took on his own camera from his unique vantage behind the bar were an unexpected treat. I can't imagine having hired a better bartender for a wedding (or any event), and recommend Roy's services without hesitation.
Roy and his team did a fantastic job managing the bar at our wedding. We got married at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas and RG Bar has worked that venue a lot, so they we...
re experts. In the end, our event went off without a hitch and our guests all went home safely and happily.
Roy himself was so helpful leading up to the event. He was always quick to respond to email questions and requests. He really helped us zero in on how much alcohol we needed and what to serve. We wanted to go with his and hers signature cocktails and he was able to offer professional advice that helped us make our selections (mojito for her, bourbon mule for him).
The event itself was well executed. Roy and his staff were on time and well prepared. When the alcohol was two hours late being delivered they adjusted well and still had everything ready in time for the guests. Nobody ever knew. The bartenders were friendly and personable, the lines were short or non-existent, and every seemed to enjoy heading to the bar for a drink. Just what you want in a wedding bar. Not one guest drank too much which is a testament to the bartenders as much as the guests.
One personal touch that we really enjoyed, Roy himself brought a camera and took a variety of candid shots which he shared in a Facebook album. We got some great pics of friends and family from inside the bar looking out as they ordered drinks. Unique photos! Roy also caught some late night photos of the dance floor long after the wedding photographers had gone home. Again, priceless!
Overall, we highly recommend Roy and RG Bar to handle your licensed alcohol serving needs.

h us and answered all of our questions. We kept changing our minds of what we wanted and he worked with us and helped us really decide on what we wanted. He had worked our venue so many times, he knew everything about it, and all the other vendors. All of other vendors had nothing but nice things to say about him also. He is one of the most helpful and patient vendors we had. I highly recommend using his services

interacting with guests and making sure everyone had fun. Drinks were well made and Roy and his staff were very good at handling our large crowd. He was by far our favorite vendor, he was very organized and was always quick to respond to any emails or questions we had. We highly recommend Roy, and we plan to use him again!
We used RG Bar Services for our August 2012 wedding. Our venue allowed us to bring our own alcohol as long as we had a licensed bartender that had liability insurance serve it. We ...
contacted Roy at RG Bar Services just a few weeks before the wedding and he was extemely easy to communicate with through emails and was able to help us out even though it was last minute. He also gave us lots of input on quantities of alcohol and mixers that would be good to have. The day of the wedding Roy arrived early and was super nice and calm even when dealing with a crazy stressful bride running behind on everything an hour before the wedding. He finished setting up early and offered to help us finish the last minute decorating. All night long people kept commenting on how friendly the bartender was. Roy even took about 80 pictures that night and put them up on his facebook for us to have access too. Roy was extremely friendly and professional and I highly recommend using RG Bar Services if you need a bartender for your wedding.
