We absolutely loved our wedding photos! The lighting was so good, everything looked magical. As the bride, I especially loved getting to see all of our guests enjoying the day in photos, while I was tucked away in hair and makeup during the actual day. We asked a lot of Corey - a 260+ person wedding, a full day capturing activities and an evening ceremony and reception at a summer camp. He covered so much ground and it felt like he really captured not only special moments, but the overall feel of the day. Corey has a specific vision as an artist and was very easy and professional to work with.

Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. You may even outwardly acknowledge it. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation. Through my own studies in general photography, photojournalism, and digital post-processing, I first delved into the technical aspects of creating digital photos with the aim of capturing fleeting authentic moments and their stories. This journey led to pieces for the newspaper and into weddings - and eventually being accepted into the International Wedding Photojournalists Association and earning a number industry awards and acknowledgments spanning 10 years. Since then, my work has been showcased in print publications like BDN's "Bangor Metro Magazine" and "Real Maine Weddings" magazine, and in 2024 I began teaching digital photography at the University level. To genuinely show you your true self on such an important day, I aim to be more than just another vendor at your wedding, and the stories in my reviews over the years certainly reflect that. Corey fit right in with our friends and family the day of the wedding and was able to discretely get great candids of our guests. He put us at ease and it was fun and painless to take photos with family, and photos of just the two of us. one to capture the day as it was, with a focus on candids and Corey absolutely delivered just that, rain and all! First off, Corey is excellent! His sense of professionalism was apparent right from the start. Corey answered all our planning/timeline questions as we prepared for the day. Day of he did a great job of bouncing between the individual bridal suites capturing all our getting ready shots. It felt as if there was a picture to take, Corey was there. Even when there wasn't an obvious picture to take, or a moment to capture, Corey was able to make each and every moment shine. He turned seemingly benign moments into stunning images that we will remember forever. He is simply an excellent photographer! The ceremony ended up being held inside due to weather, but it didn't matter where the photos were concerned. Corey was able to capture the intimate feeling of the indoor ceremony better than we had expected. We also had an issue with our DJ, where we were supposed to have a lot more lighting during the reception, and not only was he able to capture the party vibe of our reception even with the less than ideal lighting, he was also the person to notify us of our DJ's mis-hap. We we're thankful for his professional knowledge to pull us aside and make us aware of a missed detail that we 'd paid for and deserve a refund for that we likely wouldn't have noticed until after the fact. I could go on and on about Revolution Summer Photography, but I'll leave it with this: if you want to truly capture the feelings of your special day, hire Corey and rest assured you'll get what you want. Our only regret is not paying him for more time! Also, he's a really great guy! Aside from his expertise, he was a fun and charming presence at our wedding!

It really felt like we were able to relive the wedding through his photographs. His candid, documentary style may not be the right fit for everyone, but it certainly was for us. We have photos that are both beautiful and so authentic to us, our wedding, and our friends and family. So many special small moments were caught by Corey and multiple guests said they didn't even realize Corey was there. He does such a good job of just blending into the wedding, but making sure to capture all of the most important moments. On top of that, he is just a super nice guy who we enjoyed spending time with. a mid day shoot with cloud cover, and a nighttime boat party during a thunderstorm. Despite the 3 wildly varying conditions Corey photographed in, he delivered fantastic results. We could not be happier with how the photos turned out from each venture he photographed. To me this is the sign of a great photographer. Anyone can take good photos in a controlled, well lit setting. Corey's adaptability sets him apart from other photographers I've worked with in my professional career.
