We really enjoyed working with Jay for our wedding. He was able to help us create a ceremony that felt very unique to us. He had lots of ideas when it came to vows and readings, ga...
ve great instruction when it came to the rehearsal, and was helpful and efficient on our wedding day. We received lots of compliments about him and would definitely recommend him.
Reverend Howell worked with us in a private session prior to even writing our vows or picking any readings. He gave us great material to look over and truly great advice on writin...
g our vows. He helped make our moment the best it could be and the ceremony was an unforgettable, beautiful experience together with Reverend Howell.
I am so pleased with my choice to have Jay officiate my wedding ceremony. He responded quickly to my initial email and right off the bat I felt good about him. My fiance (now hus...
band! :)) and I met with him at Panera to get to know each other a bit and for him to explain his process of creating the ceremony. He started with a general outline, then asked us for our opinions and we tweaked it to get it exactly how we wanted. After that meeting, he emailed us examples of wedding readings and vows. We each selected one piece to be read, then created our own vows. He offered to help/guide us as much as we needed.
At the rehearsal, he took the lead and made sure everyone knew exactly what do to/where to be. He was so reassuring and comforting, I was not worried about the ceremony itself at all. The next day, the ceremony went perfectly, it was exactly what we wanted and we felt so much joy and love in the room! Jay's attitude/style/personality fit very well with us, he spoke clearly, and it didn't feel like a stranger was marrying us. If you are looking to create a wedding ceremony that is uniquely you, I would highly recommend reaching out to Reverend Jay Howell!
Reverend Howell was a pleasure to work with in planning and conducting our wedding ceremony. Prior to the wedding date, he presented us with many examples and ideas for vows and r...
eadings that were different than the usual wedding ceremony/vows. This inspired both of us to write our own vows rather than using the traditional ones. We loved that our wedding ceremony was a true reflection of us. We would highly recommend him to those looking for someone to officiate their wedding.
I found Rev Jay from the Knot.com and was in a pinch because of how close we let it get to the wedding before finding an officiant. We originally asked for someone’s help in this ...
area and that didn’t work out so we were scrambling. I called and left a message which he returned promptly and met later in the week and felt so very comfortable with him that we knew we didn’t need to keep looking. I was so wrapped up in other areas of the wedding that I never took the time to think about how I wanted the ceremony to go but what he presented to us was absolutely perfect since it didn’t sound boring! He provided us with samples of reading and vows which helped tremendously. I found a reading that was so perfect my husband was jealous because he wanted it. He could find anything else and asked Jay if he has anymore which of course he did and provided very quickly. My husband ended up going and finding a reading of his own but that didn’t happen until the day of our rehearsal. So we definitely pushed the envelope on this one with our timing but it all went off without a hitch and was so wonderful I couldn’t have asked for it to be better!
We knew as soon as we decided to get married that Jay would do our service. He is so charming and eloquent and funny. He worked with us closely on evey aspect of the service and to...
ok into consideration all of our thoughts and needs. Our wedding would not have been the memorable touching sweet day that it was without his joyful presence. Thank you Rev. Jay for making our wedding the most talked about affair in Tulsa to this day. If you want your special day to even better than you hoped please give Jay a call.
Jay is one of my oldest and closest friends. That said, I'm not going to hire anyone to provide a service of this magnitude just because I like him/her. Having witnessed Jay perf...
orm and emcee other ceremonies, I decided he was the perfect person to perform our ceremony. My wife and I don't belong to any certain faith, so we didn't want to get married in a church by a minister. Jay has the ability to command people's attention, while not stealing the spotlight. He focusses that spotlight on the most important people in that room--you and your families. He goes far beyond the extra mile to make your day as special as it can be. I witnessed this with my own wedding and several others I attended, which he officiated. There are givers in this life and there are takers. Jay is a giver of the highest order. I'm glad to have him as a friend and very happy with how he treated and perform what was the most special day of my life.
