We discussed what type of wedding I was planning and what type of photographs I was hoping to have as memories of this special day. She was flexible to my needs, as well as helpful in offering suggestions and ideas. In our second meeting, we visited the site for the wedding and discussed the list of group photos I wanted her to take. She was quick to respond to e-mail and thoughtful in her reminders and final questions as the wedding approached. She did a wonderful job of arranging our guests for the group posed pictures. Renee showed patience and ease photographing a large group of people of all ages. Her hard work paid off, since this session resulted in beautiful pictures of family and friends that I will keep forever. Her presence in the ceremony and reception went unnoticed by the guests, yet she was able to capture the enjoyment of the guests and details of the wedding locale. I also absolutely loved the couple shots she took of my groom and me. Renee was a pleasure to work with!

The best thing about Renee is she was able to get amazing pictures without imposing on our guests. Our guests all agreed she was invisible. Just as important, she's extremely accomodating and brings a serenity to the process that removed a lot of stress from the big day. I'd recommend her to anyone. true artist behind the lens. For this review I will only speak of Renee's work on my most private function - my wedding. Renee captured moments during the wedding and reception as if they were memories - frozen in time in a picture diary. She was able to capture the beauty and the emotions felt during the whole day - not only of the bride and groom, but the essence of a whole family coming together. Renee captured the moment when my father-in-law looked at his son during the ceremony with tears of joy, while with the same camera capturing a moment of my 2-yr old niece crawling on the ground kissing our little dog's wet nose. Each picture evokes so many emotions and memories that looking at them years later you feel like you're reliving each moment in time. I would highly recommend Renee Allen.

not great. we had better shots from guests using their own small digital cameras. i was and still am very unhappy. do not be fooled her book does not reflect her true ability. she is too quiet and not commanding during the group photos i had to ask a friend to basically do the talking organize the groups etc. i wanted many shots of the venue the flowers the crystals i hung since i did al the work myself. she did not get a lot of these shots and the ones she did are not great. do not hire her!

wanting a mix of photojournalistic and traditional portraits if that's what you're after. I have all photojournalistic style and I wish she would have encouraged me to take more portraits. I do *not* have a photo by myself in my wedding gown. Be absolutely clear on all the places around your venue that you want captured. Renee will visit your site before she shoots, but if there is a specific column you want to stand next to or whatever...be sure that it's on the list you provide to her. I also highly recommend having someone help her go through your shots so they are all completed. You really need another pair of eyes to talk her through the chaos that ensues when family portraits takes place.
