Rebecca was a God-send on our big day, especially since we were DIY-ing a lot of the wedding and had no wedding planner. I had no idea how long anything would take or what to expec...
t. She gave me a timeline of how the day should go which helped me make every other timing decision from hair and makeup appointment times to even the ceremony start time. She is really laid back, so I was a little worried when I hadn't heard from her in a week and it was two days before my wedding (granted, I got married a few days after Christmas so it was a busy time), but we touched base the day before and everything was great. I kept thinking we would be late for things, because I took way longer to get ready than I thought (not that it would have mattered, I was the bride after all), but in the end everything started right when it was supposed to. Looking back, I think her laid back vibe was totally key to getting through what can be a very stressful day. I think she made everyone else feel more chill as well. Rebecca was also really great about taking any random pictures I wanted at the reception, and making sure I knew when she was about to leave if there were any more pictures I wanted her to take before she headed out.
I will also say that she will work with you to get the package that you want... I was a bit of an anomaly because I didn't want engagement pictures, I had a super small wedding party, and both my husband and I have small families, and so she was really great with negotiating a price that fit our needs since we didn't really NEED 8 hours of coverage plus engagement photos. No one else I talked to came close.
TL;DR - hire Rebecca!!
My husband and I did plenty of research before we selected Rebecca Devono for our wedding photographer. From the beginning she was so responsive and friendly! She agreed to travel ...
to Alexandria, VA to do an engagement shoot where we live, prior to our wedding in West Virginia. She spent the whole day with us and framed the most perfect shots of us during DC's cherry blossom season. We felt comfortable with her right from the beginning, which is saying something because neither of us is particularly at home in front of a camera!
I had great communication with Rebecca before, during, and after our wedding. We exchanged emails about the types of photos I envisioned for the wedding day, and I felt totally confident that she would take my vision and make it even better. She did that and more. Rebecca acted as a mini-wedding coordinator, helping with everything from establishing a day-of timeline, zipping me into my dress (really!), fixing my hair before photos, and alerting our DJ that we were ready to make our grand reception entrance. She even advised us on how to cut our cake!
Rebecca was a joy to work with, so accommodating, friendly, and willing to help with anything we needed. She took the time to get to know us and gauge our tastes/preferences. She really made us feel comfortable and provided us with amazing photos. (It did take time to get our photos back, but I expect that with the editing she has to do.) I can't say enough good things about her! You can't go wrong choosing Rebecca to document your special day.

Rebecca did a fantastic job taking pictures at my brother's wedding in August at Stonewall Jackson Resort. She had patience with a young, fun wedding party and helped keep everyone...
focused. She was open to suggestions (a jumping picture) and she made sure the bride (and her sisters-in-law) had check marks next to all their requests. I would most recommend her, and hopefully I will one-day be able to use her, too!
She was extremely nice and made you feel comfortable. Photos that I have seen are amazing.

I had to have her photograph my wedding after meeting her at a bridal show. Her pics were amazing and she was extremely personable. I also hired her for our engagement photos as t...
hat would help with getting comfortable with her.
As always I want to see pictures now. I do realize that quality work takes time...with both events I had to wait longer than wanted to see the pictures. She responds quickly but it's hard to make an appointment if you work. She has a gift for photography but also a busy schedule. If you're willing to wait (2 months) then it is worth the wait. As we live in a now world...there are many other photographers that will get back much more quickly.
