About this vendor
Ray Harris is a skilled artist in Southern California who provides couples with one-of-a-kind wedding gifts and favors for their special day. Ray offers live painting, caricatures, and illustration art for all occasions associated with tying the knot! Since 1971, he has drawn and painted from live models and photographs, creating fine art that rivals the Masters.
Generally, Ray works with oil paints on medium to large (30x40") canvases. For live wedding paintings, he uses his photographs taken from the "special moments" and adds their image to the location, which is decided before the ceremony.
Ray may finish the artwork during the festivities or may continue working on the painting in his studio. This allows for the painting to be varnished and adjusted if necessary. He also provides suggestions for a frame or leaves the framing up to the couple.
Ray Harris wants to help you create the best experience possible. He is more than an Artist; he'll bring an upbeat vibe to the event and engage with the audience. Speed painting is an indoor or outdoor activity. Reception areas are perfect for a live painting demonstration.
As a caricature artist, Ray has developed his own style, which is closer to a portrait of the wedding couple and guests. He puts a smile on everyone's faces. This entertaining art form is a big hit during the receptions.
Based in Ventura, CA, Ray Harris is a talented artist who crafts unique wedding gifts and favors.
