our expectations. The venue and the grounds are gorgeous and so well maintained. Unlike other venues, they make the already stressful wedding process so much easier by providing their own catering options, linens, silverware, chairs, etc. All I had to worry about was bringing our decorations. We also loved the byob policy that they have. Every staff member has been so amazing as well! They are so responsive and understanding with any questions you throw at them. Our venue supervisor Laia and coordinator Amy were the true stars of the show! Their organization and constant check-ins were such a huge help. Leading up to the wedding, I was very overwhelmed and they made everything a breeze. On the day of our wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing or lift a finger because they had it all covered! Our guests are still raving about our wedding, from the how beautiful the venue is, to the food, and how smoothly everything went. We are so happy we went with Raspberry Plain Manor for our special day!

e 16 months ahead of our actual event date. Each person that we interacted with throughout the planning process and on the day of our event were professional and kind. Even when the weather shifted to wind and rain, they still made sure that everything went according to plan. They obviously cared about treating us and our guests well. Some of the highlights: 1. Food - the food we had catered was a part of the package to book with the venue. Everything from the appetizers, the entrees, the tasting months before, was great. We heard from our guests that this was one of the best wedding meals they have had! 2. Month of Coordinator - Also included with our package was a Month-of-Coordinator who helped us with some of the final planning decisions and also helped guide us along on our actual wedding day. She was organized and on-time as well as kind, but forceful when she needed to be (especially to keep us on schedule). 3. Communication - The venue coordinator and booking coordinator did such a great job answering all of our questions in a timely manner. Even during the busy wedding season when they handle dozens of events, they found time to meet with us and address our (sometimes very trivial) questions. Never felt left out in the dark. 4. Drinks - we were able to provide our own liquors, no need for an additional drinks package fee per person. While this took a bit more planning on our end, it was well worth it. It gave us the flexibility to choose which liquors we wanted and were able to return unopened bottles after the event. 5. Location - Last and certainly not least is the location. Our pictures/video turned out amazing mostly due to how pretty and open this venue is. There is a side garden, multiple rooms you can decorate, and the open patio where we held our ceremony. In the springtime, it was in full bloom and the atmosphere was top-notch. Plus parking was abundant and we were able to rent shuttles for guests staying nearby. There were not any true downsides to booking with Raspberry Plain, but some of the aspects to be aware of: 1. Price - We felt that total price for our event was very fair considering it included food, staff, tables, linens, coordinators, etc. plus the venue itself all within one package. Compared to other similar sized venues, the package price we were offered was a great value. But the venue is by no means inexpensive, so just keep that in mind when researching. The price we found online was way higher than the price we were quoted in person, so I'd recommend visiting for a tour and seeing what they are willing to negotiate on. 2. Clean-Up After the Event - It was explained to us well before-hand, so no fault to the venue or its staff, but we had to clean up all of our decorations/equipment/bottles/etc by 1am that night since there was another event the next day. So be aware that you will need to have a plan in place with people and vehicles ready to clean out all equipment right after the event ends. This was a bit of stressor on us and took a bit more time than anticipated, but again this was no fault of the venue as we were told about it well in advance. Overall it was the greatest night of our lives and we were very grateful to be able to have our event hosted there.

He sent us PDFs on the spot of everything we asked for on the initial call. Then, we visited the venue in person and immediately knew this was where we wanted to host our big day. Again, Nicholas was on top of everything -- we ran through multiple scenarios with him (i.e., different guest counts, table/dance floor set ups, etc.) and he was able to pull up prior examples seamlessly. Lastly, when you're trying to plan such a significant and stressful event, you want someone that is supportive and responsive -- Nicholas exceeds expectations in both of these categories.

He was very well prepared for these tours and responsive to all our questions and concerns. He had many great ideas to share and creative solutions regarding dance floor set up, sunset viewing during the ceremony, etc. We ultimately chose Raspberry Plain Manor in large part due to Nicholas's excellent customer service skills. He was a tenacious business person who clearly has a passion for facilitating happy weddings and takes pride in making his customers happy. What's more, he replied within a few hours (usually within 1 hour) to all of our emails! We felt we could trust him throughout the planning process. Thanks, Nicholas!

However, given that we live 10 hours away, I figured it’d come with its challenges in terms of coordinating/planning, but Nicholas has made this process so seamless – from the first initial call, he made himself available to adjust to my crazy work schedule and answered all the questions I had going into it. Since we didn't have plans to be back in VA but wanted to secure a venue, he sent me a 360 virtual tour of the entire location and inside RPM to be able to get a sense of what it was like, which made our decision really easy… Also, when I was planning a trip back home, I reached out to see if I would be able to do a self-guided tour, and he made it happen no questions asked. The venue truly speaks for itself with its elegant ambience, views of the rolling hills, floor-to-ceiling windows, grooms suite, bridal wing, etc., but to also have someone as knowledgeable as Nicholas by our side throughout the entire process has been absolutely invaluable.

The secret garden at RPM is really what "tied the knot" for me, let alone the entire venue itself. Every question we had he didn't have to skip a beat to answer, and he also answered most of our questions along the way of the tour (great multitasking!). Nicholas has been very communicative/responsive to us throughout our venue hunting process which spanned over the course of a week. RPM was one of our first tours and I (we, haha) fell in love with it so much we were 99% ready to sign a contract that very same day; however, we ended up not going through with it that day because we needed to tour some other venues and review finances. Looking back, I'm kicking myself for not signing originally when we had decided RPM was the one for us! Because it's in such high/popular demand that our preferred dates were snagged even just within a week. We knew we could NOT let this venue get swept out from under us so we snagged our last preferred date and booked. Nicholas has been so wonderful, easy to work with, and accommodating - a really incredible professional in this field and it is CLEAR that he knows what he's doing, which is so nice to give us some peace of mind during the stressful wedding planning process. We're happy to get to continue working with him as we proceed with RPM!!!!

The weather was very touch and go, and Lindsay was extremely flexible when making decisions about our ceremony site, which eased our anxiety! We had a chance to have a quiet moment before the reception began and Laia brought us two plates of pasta- We appreciated it so much!! Speaking of the food- it was fantastic! Our family and friends could not stop talking about how good the food was. Overall, the setting was beautiful and exactly what we envisioned for our special day. The huge windows in the ballroom provided a perfect setting to celebrate our marriage. If you’re thinking of getting married at RPM, you absolutely should!!
