I cannot say enough great things about Rae! She photographed our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and wedding and was absolutely stunning! She was so easy to work with and understo...
od what my husband and I wanted from our photos and knocked it out of the park! I highly recommend Rae for your photography needs!
Rae and her husband are an excellent team. They showed up on time. They were personable, friendly, and so much fun. The most important aspect for me personally, was how comfortable...
they made me feel taking pictures all day. I never feel at ease in front of a camera, and they really helped make me feel comfortable and loosen up. They got some AMAZING shots! Great team. Great photos. Absolutely recommend!
If you're looking for an incredibly talented photographer that is personable, patient, artistic, and dedicated, look no further than Rae Leytham. We hired Rae to shoot our wedding...
after receiving a recommendation from a cousin, and we could not be more pleased with our experience. Since shooting our wedding five years ago, we have hired Rae for numerous shoots throughout the years. She has photographed some of my favorite shots that stand out as iconic in my mind as the milestones that mark our family's growth throughout the years. From holidays to birth announcements, Rae does it all with an incredible eye and a quick witted attitude that will leave you as entertained as you are impressed. If I could give Rae 6 stars I would!
I was an exceptionally laid back bride and my requests were minimal. Here are my grievances:
1) I repeatedly asked for mostly candid shots because I don't like the awkwardness of p...
osed pictures. She responded by telling me "people say that, but they don't know what that means" Now I have a 100 pictures of me looking like an awkward mannequin. She was very aggressive in telling me what I did and did not want.
2) One of the beautiful things of having a beach wedding at sunset is, OBVIOUSLY, the sunset beach pictures. Yet despite an amazingly colorful sunset, most of our photos feature my husband and I on an entirely washed out background. Fortunately, our friends who were taking pics on their iPhones captured better moments during the "golden hour".
3) The wedding book of photos (the reason I went with Rae) turned out to be a computer automated book showcasing 12 pictures per page measuring 1 inchX 1 inch with a large corresponding file number printed right on it. By NO means a keep sake or anything I would display.
4) WORST of all It took 3 months to get the USB drive containing our photos, and to top it off the drive ended up being corrupt. I was told a replacement was on its way, but had to reconnect 2 months later before we saw another one.
5) One of the better shots from our wedding (that she features on her Instagram) was entirely our idea. We even had to yell down from our balcony to get their attention to capture a moment that was clearly a fun, important moment to us. This seemed to be the theme of the night.
6) Other issues: all of our reception photos are from eye level. Not once was angle, lighting, or depth of field considered during the reception. Additionally, there were family members there that rarely get together that we have no photos of. A LOT of missed opportunities.
All told, we had an amazing wedding with amazing memories, we only wish they were captured as requested.
Rae and Wesley Leytham are amazing and talented photographers. We knew years ago that they were the ones we wanted to capture the magic of our daughter’s wedding day. Their image...
s are beautiful and they evoke such wonderful memories of that special time in our lives. I would highly recommend them for any event.
My daughter recently had her wedding at Carillon Beach Resort. We chose our photographer by a list of referrals and by narrowing that list down by website galleries. I feel as th...
ough we struck the jackpot with Rae and Wes. Upon meeting them, on the day of the wedding, they immediately put us at ease. Their professionalism and competence were evident, but we were more drawn by the aura of their personalities. I just know we would be fast friends if we lived in the same state. They were both delightful, yet made themselves invisible at the same time and I am still in awe by how they accomplished that feat. They were everywhere, yet never obtrusive or in the way and I heard many similar compliments from my daughter, the groom, the groom's family, the wedding party, and numerous guests.
But how did our photos turn out, you may ask. They are absolutely spectacular, stunning, and magical! As I have gone through the photos, I have been able to relive every detail along with each emotion that was a part of it because nothing was missed and every expression was captured just as it happened. I have also witnessed a couple of events that I did not even know took place. My favorite shots are of my daughter and new son-in-law captured at sunset with filtered light highlighting expressions and feelings in an incredibly artistic way.
Our photos were edited and sent to us quickly and Rae has always been swift with her correspondence. I am looking forward to using them again in the future; one more daughter to marry off someday. Thank you, Rae & Wes for everything and may your life bring you as many beautiful moments as you have been able to capture and share with others!
When my husband and I were planning our wedding, having an amazing photographer was at the top of our list. We were recommended to Rae and Wes by some good friends. We fell in love...
with them the minute we met them. We took our engagement pictures in the Seaside area and, although I dont think Im that photogenic, I was so impressed with the photos. Unbelievable. They actually traveled to St. Augustine, Florida where we were getting married to shoot for our wedding and I am beyond taken back by our wedding photos. Random people on Facebook were commenting saying that they have never seen such beautiful photos. More than their work, Rae and Wes are just amazing people. They are fun, make you laugh and feel comfortable, make jokes with everyone around you ... it makes taking your photo so much fun. They are so creative and thought of shots that never ran across my mind. I would more than HIGHLY recommend them for weddings, engagement shoots and any and all functions.
Have you ever met some new folks and you just "clicked" (pun intended)!!! As a wannabe photographer myself, I feel like I am extra picky! When I first saw Wes and Rae's work, I w...
as totally impressed! Then, I met them! Totally fun, easygoing, know their stuff, shoot canon:) and I just can't tell you how much I enjoyed them! My son and his bride (who is camera shy, works wonderfully for a mother-in-law obsessed with photography) are so happy with their experience! They shot the kids engagement shoot (which I highly recommend doing as you can get to know them and they can get to know their clients) and were AWESOME BOTH DAYS! We live in Tennessee and the wedding was in Florida... I know a little about photography and I feel like I know ALOT about people.... these two are the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!!!! Thank you two! You are the BEST!!!
I cannot say enough about how incredible Rae and Wesley were on our wedding day! They helped me, my wedding party, and my husband and I's families feel so comfortable! The day flow...

Rae and Wes Leytham are husband and wife and absolutely fantastic photographers. They work together to create images you will forever cherish. It was a pleasure to have them around...
on our wedding day.
Our wedding pictures came out amazing...they were better than I had imagined they would be and the packaging of the proofs and the cd were awesome. Several of my friends who have s...
een it say they have never seen a photographer put so much into a package and absolutely love the pictures. My parents were overwhelmed when they saw them and immediately stated that it was worth the money.
Rae was great with answering questions throughout the whole process. She gave me all the information I needed up front and also checked in with me leading up to the day. She also wanted to make sure she got the shots I really wanted.
Not only did I get amazing pictures, this team made me feel great throughout the entire process. They took so many pictures I now have several favorites. Did I mention at the time of my wedding Rae was pregnant with twins!! She was so energetic and was moving faster than several of my wedding party we were all stunned how much time, work, and effort they put into each shot. They made my husband (who hates taking pictures) have fun and these are the best pictures of him I have ever seen. The candid shots were great too and captured many moments I didn't get to see because I was visiting with other guests. Rae and her team kept the party going and fit right in with our family and friends. I didn't want them to leave and will always hold a special place in my heart for them.
They captured our big day in the most breath taking way and I love them so much for all that they did for us.
Thanks so much! Nick and Khristina Gilbert
Rae and Wesley traveled all the way from Pensacola to Athens, GA to shoot my wedding. Having never seen the venues for the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, or the reception--they st...
ill managed to take absolutely beautiful pictures. You would've thought they'd been photographing in Athens for years! They were both so flexible, and they did a great job of efficiently wrangling wedding party and family members so as to get us all to the reception as quickly as possible. The day was perfect, and I'm so thankful to have hired quality photographers to capture every moment. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
My experience with Rae Leytham Photography was beyond amazing! They put everyone at ease & took the most amazing pictures of everyone! I don't know how anyone could ever hire any...

Rae and Wesley were so fantastic. I never dreamed my pictures would turn out so amazing. I typically hide from the camera but being that it was my wedding day, I had no choice but ...
