Quinten Johnston Productions

oing, being an amazing DJ/ host, and constantly checking in on us throughout the night. You had my parents out there dancing, my in-laws on the dance floor, and even my aunt dancing all in which I honestly have never seen in my life! 😂 You brought the energy, got everyone on the dance floor, and kept the celebration going all night long. The assignment was completed and then some! 🙌🏽 I am so, so grateful for you. You are truly the best DJ EVER hands down! You helped make our wedding night everything we dreamed it would be, and I will forever appreciate that. I hope you and your beautiful wife were able to enjoy yourselves, eat some good food, and have a wonderful time celebrating with us. Again, thank you so much! We are truly blessed to have had you be such an important part of our special day. We are so grateful to be a part of the family and to have shared such a beautiful night with you both. ❤️🥹✨

was coming next. He helped everything flow smoothly, controlled the night and made it feel effortless.  We’re so grateful he was part of such an important day in our lives. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DJ FOR YOUR WEDDING YOU’D BE MAKING THE WRONG DECISION BY BOOKING ANY OTHER DJ OTHER THAN DJQ!

st time. We had SO many guests come up to us throughout the night and even after the wedding telling us how amazing our DJ was and how he kept the entire day so fun and full of energy! He knew exactly how to read the crowd, kept the dance floor packed, and made the whole night unforgettable. The music, the vibes, the energy — EVERYTHING was perfect! He played such a huge part in making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. If you're looking for a DJ who will bring the energy, keep your guests entertained, and make your wedding a night nobody will forget, DJ Q IS YOUR GUY!!! We seriously couldn't have asked for anyone better. Thank you for making our special day SO incredible!!! 🤍

nce floor and made the night so much fun. I was definitely stressed leading up to the wedding, but they always reassured me and made sure everything was going to be perfect. They were so easy to work with, professional, and truly helped make our wedding night everything we wanted it to be. We are SO glad we chose them! ❤️

inten knows how to keep a party alive. He always knew exactly what to say, how to keep the energy going, and how to keep our guests entertained. The entire night flowed so naturally, and he did such an amazing job making sure there was never a dull moment. He is truly such a great time and has the personality to match the energy he brings to your day. From the very beginning of our planning process, Quinten was so easy to communicate with. He always responded ASAP and made everything feel so organized and stress free. He has an app that keeps your entire wedding timeline and music organized, and I loved that we were able to personalize every little detail of our day. It made the planning process so easy while still giving us the freedom to make the music and timeline completely our own. One of my favorite things is that Quinten is so open to ideas. We had several ideas we wanted to incorporate throughout the night, and he was always completely on board and executed every single one perfectly. I wanted to have a video of me when I was little play before my father daughter dance, and Quinten made sure that happened. It was such a special moment and made that part of our night even more meaningful. We also added the cold sparks, and they were SO much fun and added that extra wow factor to the night. We didn’t end up using all of the cold sparks during the moments they were originally intended for. Instead of just letting the extras go unused, Quinten made a point to incorporate the remaining sparks into the dance floor at the perfect moments throughout the night. It was such a fun surprise and made the dance floor even more exciting. That is just one example of how he was constantly paying attention and finding ways to make the most of everything we had planned. I really appreciated was how attentive Quinten was throughout the entire night. He was amazing with silent signals, so if I wanted to change a song, end something early, or move on to the next part of the evening, he knew exactly what I meant without ever interrupting the moment. Those little things made such a difference! Quinten was one of the first vendors we hired during our wedding planning process, and I never once questioned that decision. I constantly told our friends and family how excited I was about our DJ and how great I knew he was going to be and he truly lived up to every expectation. He made our night so much fun and played such a huge role in making our wedding feel like us. He is incredibly talented, professional, personable, creative, and genuinely knows how to read a crowd. I couldn’t recommend Quinten enough. You CANNOT go wrong having him on your wedding vendor team!!! If you want a DJ who will keep your guests on the dance floor, bring the energy, roll with your ideas, and make your wedding night unforgettable, Quinten is just that!!! Thank you so much Quinten!!!!

JQ, you’re missing out!

from our former wedding planner who said, “He was the best DJ she had ever worked with”. My now husband spoke with him originally and relayed his excitement - he seemed fun, confident, and experienced (exactly what we wanted for our wedding), so we signed our contract same day. We met with QJP again (at our request) mid-year/planning. It was at this time I remember questioning why our contract listed two DJs – DJ Reo and DJQ. DJQ explained that BOTH DJs would be at our event -DJ Reo as lead and Q as assist. Q made us feel like our event was important, and we had no further questions at that time. Fast forward to the week of our wedding, we felt under the gun (as most couples do) and were behind filling out their app with our music selections, but got it done. We met via Facetime just 3 days before our wedding to discuss music, timeline and important details. Additionally, we were persuaded into purchasing add-ons (lighting, fog, etc.) Again, I asked for clarity about the DJ situation. This time, Q said DJ Reo would be there for the entirety of the event and Q would be checking-in at the beginning and the end. This was different than what we were told previously, but what could we really do at this point? DJQ again reassured us we would be taken care of. Up to this point all communications had been handled by DJQ and we hadn’t yet met DJ Reo. I asked to meet DJ Reo, so Q set-up a Facetime same day which I was grateful for. I paid DJQ in-person the next day via cash to avoid a credit card processing charge. There was no proof of transaction, which now looking back felt a bit off. On the day of our wedding, DJQ did not show up until the very end of our reception. He played one last song, which was quite frankly a bit awkward. DJ Reo was the primary DJ throughout and did an okay job. It was clear he wasn’t as experienced or just wasn’t that invested in our event. We had a few family and friends mention music/dance floor lulls and that music wasn’t being mixed. I was expecting more fun, personality and excitement for what we paid. Our entrance into first dance got messed up, which was a bummer since we discussed those details a few days prior. We also found out later that they did not have the correct sound equipment for cocktail hour and had to borrow equipment from our venue. It’s tricky because none of the above was “event-breaking”. Ourselves, family and friends still had a good time, but we were disappointed in the services we received. I feel like QJP wasn’t honest by lack of transparency about their DJ assignments, exploited us when we were already under the gun by recommending/persuading us to purchase expensive add-ons, and over-hyped their services. My recommendation to future couples is to be sure you read reviews and thoroughly comb your contract before signing. If the contract lists two DJs, you might be in for a similar situation.

a night, he completely understood the assignment. He read the room PERFECTLY. He knew when to switch things up, when to keep a song going, and exactly what it took to keep everyone on the dance floor. He was interactive, fun, and brought an energy that made the entire night feel like a PARTY instead of just another wedding reception. But what impressed us most was how much he genuinely cared about US. He checked on Broc and me throughout the night, made sure we were happy, made sure things were going the way we wanted, and somehow managed to be everywhere without ever making the night feel forced or overly structured. You can hire someone to play music. You can’t hire just anyone to understand a crowd, create a vibe, and make 160 people feel like they’re part of the celebration. THAT is a talent. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had, and that says everything. He didn’t just DJ our wedding, he helped make it a night we will never forget. If you’re looking for a DJ who will sit behind a booth and press play keep looking. 😂 If you want someone who will bring the energy, read your crowd, interact with your guests, take care of you, and absolutely KILL IT from beginning to end — this is your guy. 10/10. Would get married again just to have him DJ it. 😂🤍

de everything so easy! On the day of our wedding he delivered in every way, it was amazing and everything I have ever dreamt it would be. Our guests and wedding party are still raving about it and him! Thank you again, we felt so taken care of, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

and genuinely cared about making sure our day felt like us. He kept everything flowing smoothly, kept the energy up, and made sure our dance floor was a PARTY. 😂 There is truly nothing better than looking around at your wedding and seeing all of your favorite people out on the dance floor having the best time—and DJ Q made that happen! Beyond just being an incredible DJ, he became someone we genuinely enjoyed getting to know throughout the planning process. By the end of it, it felt less like we had hired another wedding vendor and more like we had gained a friend. We are so incredibly thankful he was part of our day and would recommend him over and over again. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, personable, fun, and knows how to keep a wedding moving AND a dance floor full—DJ Q is your guy! 10/10! 🤍

e, and professional throughout the entire process. Once we locked in our date, he gave us access to an app where we could curate all of our music in one place. Everything was organized into sections, which made choosing songs for each part of the day so easy and stress-free. When we found out Mareo would be our DJ, it made the experience even more special. Mareo and I were really good friends in high school but hadn’t seen much of each other over the years, so getting to reconnect in this way and have him be such a big part of our wedding day meant so much to me. And he did such a great job at being our host and DJ for the night. Mareo was very tentative to us and our timeline, making sure we were good throughout the night, coordinated with other vendors, had great energy and made sure everyone had an amazing time. A few even said they couldn’t remember the last time they had danced or had that much fun at a wedding, which honestly made our hearts so happy.  We really could not have had a better experience. We’re so grateful to DJQ and Mareo for helping us create such an incredible night, not only for us, but for everyone we love who was there celebrating with us. 10/10!!

es quickly. He gave us the freedom to tailor our music exactly how we wanted, while seamlessly mixing it all together.

t was the best reception they’ve every been to!!

ove and beyond by making sure everything went smoothly. He made sure we knew exactly what was going on throughout the night so we could enjoy our time stress free. Would definitely recommend to everyone we know!

stic person and dj! 10/10!!!!!!

d a great time on the dance floor. he was so friendly and easy to work with throughout the whole process. What really stood out to us was how he handled our timeline. A few things ended up running behind due to rain, but he stepped in, took control, and made everything flow so naturally that we never felt stressed. He kept the night moving smoothly, and our guests probably never even realized anything had changed. We truly appreciated everything he did to make our wedding such a fun and memorable night. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ, and we would recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about making your day special.  Quinten you were amazing and I pray that god works through you and your business.

o much fun and had everyone dancing. He is unbelievably talented, and I truly can’t recommend him enough! One of my favorite moments was the beautiful prayer he shared after our toasts and speeches. It was so meaningful, and I’m incredibly grateful for his kind words and for inviting God’s presence into our special day. It made an already unforgettable day even more special. 🤍

sts and the night flowed smoothly. Highly recommended to anyone looking to make their event memorable 🔥

would give 6 stars if I could.

mptu prayer which completely showed how the Lord was in the room and blessing their marriage so immensely. This mama heart is so full and so so grateful for his professionalism and faith and energy!!!  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

! Most memorable celebration bar none.

ngs for friends and family of mine! He is energetic, interacts with the guests , and has everyone on the dance floor dancing! He was so amazing at my wedding people still talk about him and how amazing he is!! He has multiple packages to fits everyone’s needs!! You will not find a better, more fun and professional DJ like Q!

ce instead. Prior to this, I had requested contact information for whoever would be handling our event but never received it, so I did not have an opportunity to speak with or coordinate directly with the replacement DJ. The associate did a good job overall, but we had specifically booked and paid for DJ Q and the experience he promotes. Because the associate had limited wedding experience, there were a few issues during the ceremony, including microphone delays and some mistakes with processional music. After the wedding, DJ Q reached out and, after we shared our concerns, he did offer a partial refund, which we appreciated. However, when we left honest reviews about our experience, they were removed, and we were contacted and asked to take them down. He also went as far as obtaining my father-in-law’s phone number through a mutual contact and attempting to call him, which felt inappropriate and added to our disappointment.

now what was going on. He played all the songs on our personal playlist that we made along with others that fit the vibe!  My guests also gave compliments on how well he did.

that we had the best experience possible. He answered texts/calls quickly, he was always reachable, and he made time when we needed him for a planning call with our coordinator. I sprung an idea on him to surprise my mom with a slideshow of pictures of us to thank her for everything she's done for me. He checked up multiple times to see how that was going and what I was planning for it. Day of, he figured out how to make the sound better so everyone could hear it. Our coordinator loved working with him and said he's one of the best DJs she has worked with in her career. On the day of the wedding, everything went so well. Our favorite songs played due to the use of an app that our coordinator, myself, my (now) husband, and him could all get onto and add all of the songs needed so that there were no slip ups or mistakes made. It was perfect. Both of our families and friends have said he was amazing, my mom loved him because he was always joking with her and made everything feel so lighthearted and fun. He obviously loves his job so much and truly wants the day to go as smoothly as possible. I would recommend Quinten to anyone who is having an event that needs a DJ. He was one of the highlights of our night, and we will forever be so grateful for the memories that he left us with!! Thank you so much, Q!

comes fully prepared with top-tier equipment. What sets him apart is his incredible ability to read the room. His excellent MC skills, handling our announcements and transitions with ease. Having a DJ we can consistently rely on makes our event planning so much smoother. We highly recommend DJ Q to any business looking for reliable, high-quality entertainment.

to have so much confidence and rest knowing he would execute perfectly and he did just that! I heard nothing but amazing things from my guests. I will absolutely be booking again!!!! Thank you Q

in advance and did not hear from him from the time I booked him until about two  months before the wedding. He reached out and asked if I had any questions, to which I responded with yes and proceeded to ask the few questions I had, and they were not answered. Instead, he sent me a template (which I was grateful for and used for my songs and timeline), and then never responded with any answers to my questions.  I did not hear from him again until 5 days before the wedding when he had requested the timeline and the rest of the payment. When requesting the remainder of the payment, he did not honor the $200 first responder discount that he told me he would give me at the time of booking for my husband. We ended up agreeing to split the discount down the middle because he left it out of the contract and I did not catch that when I signed it. Therefore, I only got $100 off instead of the $200 off. On the morning of my wedding, I got a text from Quinten saying “we cannot wait to celebrate with you today!! You’ll be meeting Mareo as well!” This led me to believe he was bringing help along since he said “we” specifically in the text message. When Mareo arrived at around 3 pm, we found out from him that Quinten was not going to be showing up that day and it was only going to be him running the wedding. Mareo did okay with the event, but our ceremony music did not flow smoothly and the incorrect song was played for the bridal party walking down the aisle. The reception music was not the playlist we provided either. After talking to my friend that had also booked Quinten in the past for her events, I found out that he called her saying one of his vans had a popped tire heading to another wedding and he had to go run that wedding instead because the other DJ couldn’t make it. None of this was ever communicated to me, and Quinten did not reach out to me until 3 days later apologizing for his absence but grateful that he had a team to pull the event together. I would like to say, I did enjoy Mareo’s energy and he did well with running our reception, but the music was not what I was hoping for and this was supposed to be the most special day for my husband and I. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received for the amount of money I paid.

le time and no one left the dance floor! He is very professional, fun, kind, funny and interacts with the guests! He has also done multiple event for me and kills it every time!! He has also done friends and family weddings and family event of mine! He is the best at what he does and is the best around!!

dding. We were informed a couple weeks before that DJQ was expanding his business and was hiring DJs to work under his brand and that a different DJ would arrive 1st and then DJQ would arrive an hour later. Unfortunately DJQ never arrived due to a supposed popped tire (which we were never informed of day of and from other reviews it seems it happened to at least 2 other couples. DJ Aaron was very nice and did the best he could with the circumstances. Though my only complaints were the dancing music seemed very “cookie cutter” wedding and did not feel personalized to us, which I felt DJQ could have done as we had multiple meetings with him. Also the sound sounded very scratchy 1 hour left of the wedding which they attributed to the heat, but at that time it was dark and cooler outside. It seems to me he may have been hired to be our replacement DJ as DJQ was posting to his social media at another wedding that day. I would have been okay with clear communication that he had multiple events that day and a different dj may be running the whole events or talk about We had to reach out multiple times just to get a meeting scheduled the week of our wedding. He also attempted to charge us a date change fee when there was never one written on the contract we signed. I know DJQ does great work, but I wished communication was better.

hat he was given, we were disappointed to find out—as we walked into the ceremony—that DJ Q would not be the one DJing our wedding. We were under the impression that Kamal would be there to handle setup and that DJ Q would arrive afterward. At no point were we told someone else would be taking over, despite planning everything with DJ Q directly and paying for his services. Communication throughout the process was poor. DJ Q himself acknowledged that he didn’t communicate well with us. We had to reach out multiple times just to get a meeting scheduled the week of our wedding (only prior meeting was when we booked). Then, on the day of, we were told he couldn’t make it due to a popped tire—but later learned he was actually at another wedding. Had we been told that up front, we would’ve had more time to work with Kamal to ensure everything was aligned. We paid for the VIP-Tier 4(highest tier) sound and lighting package, and unfortunately, that experience didn’t reflect. Our biggest disappointment was the ceremony. The music we carefully chosen and timed. The music couldn’t be heard—not by us or our guests. These songs were incredibly meaningful, and it was hard not being able to experience that moment the way we envisioned. The lapel mic for our officiant didn’t work, and she had to manage her script with a handheld mic, which added unnecessary stress to an already emotional moment. This wouldn’t have been a big deal had the other things not happened. The reception entrance was also off—the bridal party song started, then restarted when we walked in as brides, even though we had provided specific instructions to begin our entrance around the 22-second mark. Our wedding coordinator had to trigger the first set of sparklers (which we paid for), and the second set was never used. We also had a special dance planned with our nephews to play after the father-daughter dances—something we discussed with DJ Q ahead of time—but that information was never passed along to Kamal, and we had to step in and ask for it to be played in the moment. Kamal, to his credit, was kind, flexible, and worked with our family and friends to keep things going. This review is not a reflection on him—we genuinely appreciated his efforts. But ultimately, this wasn’t the experience we were promised or paid for. We shared our honest feedback with DJ Q, and in response, we were given excuses about the heat affecting the lapel mic and a different explanation regarding the sparklers. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment of the issues we faced during the ceremony. We know DJ Q is doing big things, and that’s exciting. But with that growth comes the responsibility to communicate clearly and ensure every couple still feels taken care of. We hope this feedback is taken seriously so future couples don’t experience the same confusion and disappointment.

lder crowd, Quinten was a great fit. He knew exactly when to engage the group, what to say, when to say it. One of the best moments was the opening prayer. His words were so touching. For the rest of the evening, he was a perfect professional. If I had to make any changes, it would be to make the evening last longer but we all had to go to church the next day!

party going and plays the best music! I used him for my wedding and the was the Best decision! Friends and family are still talking about my wedding two years later on how amazing the DJ was and how he kept us dancing all night to where us middle-age people thought we were hit by a truck because we danced so much in our bodies hurt the next day! I have also used him for other events I have had!! As well he has DJ for other friends and family for their events! I highly recommend anyone booking Q as their wedding, birthday, work parties and any kind of event
