I don't know where to begin with my raving review of this hotel...It all started with my initial visit to pick a wedding venue. I met Sissi Ortiz and when I say that she is amazing...
, I mean every bit of it. She treated me as a family member and made sure that I was happy every step of the six months leading up to my wedding. Sissi, you will always have a special place in my heart and I wish nothing but happiness and blessings to you and your family. Every time I asked her something, her response was, "Let me see what I can do". As a frazzled bride, her words comforted me and she did everything that she could do to make my day special and that it was. ALL of my guests had a wonderful time and ALL of the staff were friendly, polite, energetic and professional. Darrell, you know that I have to talk about you because you made check in a wonderful experience for me and all of my guests. After getting off an early plane ride, your smile, demeanor, jokes and friendly presence let me know that I chose the best hotel in Miami. You always greeted me with a smile and a high five and that was very comforting. Thank you Darrell and can't wait to see you again for my next visit to Miami. Sissi and Darrell, you know that everyone loved my room. My room became the party headquarters LOL. Carlos, I did not have a chance to personally meet you because I was all over the place but ALL of my guests met you and loved you and that passion fruit margarita something or another and the chicken wings LOL. You were a great bartender and you kept the drinks flowing for my drinks. Sorry, if we took up the whole bar area for three days LOL. On the day of my wedding, the staff sprung into action and everything was executed to a T from the setup to the end of the reception. All in all, sixty guests are very pleased with this hotel. Spectacular view, wonderful food, AMAZING staff and a very clean hotel.
Our names are Olga Vazquez and Felix Solorzano . We just had our daughter's wedding last Saturday 01/25/2020 at your hotel and we want to say how happy we were. Everything was awes...
ome from the staff making us feel so welcomed and special . But there is one person in particular I want to write about her name is Maeva . This lady went above and beyond her call of duty ,Im telling she is an asset to your company . She was attentive and anything we needed was taking care of . I can honestly say she made our lives so much easier that day and I can not wait to recommend your Hotel to family and friends . Thank you for everything . Thank you Maeva .
Excellent, Excellent choice!! I highly recommend them. After much searching for a wedding venue, we opted to go with the Pullman Hotel and don't regret our choice. From the star...
t they've been attentive to our needs and made our dream wedding come to life. Their service was top notch! Servers and bartenders were friendly yet professional interacting with all our guests. Food was amazingly delicious! We received many compliments from our guests both on the quality and quantity! Lester the Banquet Mgr as well as Maeva the Hotel event manager were easily accessible throughout the planning process, always pleasant and very accommodating. I highly recommend them!
Excellent service and all of our wedding details were executed flawlessly.
My husband and I chose this hotel because we loved the big open space of the ballroom and the open windows provided a gorgeous view of Blue Lagoon. The foyer for the cocktail hour ...
was large and nice, but many of my guests complained that it was too hot. The hors devours were delicious, but not enough. I had chosen beef tenderloin, but never saw them and none of my guests have confirmed they had them either. Instead we had vegetable rolls. The salad and chicken for dinner was delicious. I have gotten so many compliments from my guests on the dinner. The best part of booking with the Sofitel is how many outside vendors they include for the price- open bar, chairs, linens, and cake. Our chair cushions were changed to a navy blue instead of royal blue, which was disappointing. The cake was great, except they added a black ribbon around the layers. The linens were the only vendor who provided what we requested. One of our bars closed 30 minutes early and was rude to my guests. Thankfully the other bartender stayed open and was respectful to my guests. Overall, Sammy worked very well with us and provided us what we requested. The complimentary suite the night of the wedding was beautiful and so nice to relax in after such a long day. I would recommend the Sofitel to other brides. My only suggestion to all brides is to be sure of what you want, double and triple check all your quotes/invoices, and make sure you are given what you ask for.
Our reception was truly spectacular. The staff at the Sofitel made our dream wedding come true. It was everything we envisioned and more.

My Mother was running late with some of the decorations for the tables and the staff immediately took the box from her and told her not to worry about a thing, that they would take care of it. When we arrived back from the ceremony for the reception everything was perfectly set up.
I chose this venue because i felt like it took care of everything. I was a bride with no planner so to me that was perfect because it took away so much of the stress of having to deal with many vendors. Yvonne was also amazing, she really guided me through as i was a pretty lost bride. I would definitely recommend this to any bride, especially those who don't have a planner and who like things to be as simple as possible.
The service was very good and I recommend it.
Their suggestions worked well.

All other vendors were very professional.
The night of the event I had nothing to worry about because the coordinator took care of everything and I just enjoy my daughter's wedding.

ve and beyond to meet not only my every need, but my friends, family and bridal party that were all accommodated at the Hotel Sofitel. Yvonne, the wedding coordinator with Sofitel, was very attentive and made sure that from the tasting to the grand wedding entrance every single detail was just right. Yvonne's team was always welcoming, and ready to offer great advice and suggestions. The venue is also very beautiful and in the perfect location...nearby to the airport and not too far from the Miami hype, but in the ideal romantic and whimsical setting. My family was also happy with the shuttle service and seamless process of checking in and getting situated efficiently...especially because my wedding was during Spring Break! I highly recommend Sofitel, you will have your every wedding need met and only beautiful memories to last you forever.
The experience at Sofitel for my wedding was more than I could ask for from every perspective! Their team contributed on every level from their management team to the banquet staff...
and worked well together to make our wedding a success! From the first moment visiting the venue, Yvonne was extremely helpful in explaining the entire process and helping us understand how we can achieve our wedding vision. The wedding had two ceremonies, a cocktail hour and reception. Each event had different detailed requirements and the team at Sofitel Miami executed them timely and accurately. The supporting staff the day of the event showed each guest true hospitality and made everyone at the wedding comfortable tending to their needs. Food was served on time, guests had plenty of refreshments readily available and the overall facility was clean throughout the entire night.
It was a carefree celebration that still have our guests talking about what a great time they had! I would highly recommend this venue to family, friends and anyone looking to host a celebration where all you need to do is show up and enjoy yourself!
Yvonne and her team were outstanding from Day 1 of the visit to the venue up to the end of the wedding.

Yvonne Tamayo is seriously a gem.
We would highly recommend this location at Blue Lagoon Drive to everyone.

Even the other vendors they recommend were great to work with. Of course the food & service was amazing! e after we walked into the Sofitel, Frank and I felt that it was the right place. It made us feel feel that it was it and we didn't need to search for any other place. The service is phenomenal and Yvonne, the Director of Catering is outstanding. She sat down with us and patiently went over their different packages and answered all of our questions. She was very sweet and very helpful. I'm very excited and can't wait until my wedding next year.

om available for my amount of people (200). There are no columns in the ballroom which I saw in many other venue options. The view of the water out the windows is gorgeous and Yvonne (catering manager) has been like my own included wedding planner throughout the entire process! She is so helpful and on top of everything. Also, they are renovating the entire hotel and it looks fabulous so far! The brand new glass chandeliers in the ballroom are going to look so elegant. I can't wait to see how great everything turns out for my wedding in 2014!

the Miami area anything decent is very expensive at least that was our experience after researching every venue from the Beach, Grove,Downtown and the Bay.
Until we found the Sofitel now we don't have to compromise elegance and class with overwhelming price.
We received a ton of perks and the Salon is very beautiful if you have ever been to New Orleans you will know what I speak about.
Yvonne is awesome to work with since she knows her stuff like the back of her hand.

She greeting me with a warm hello and made sure that I was getting the best of the best. I was invited to a bridal expo at their Hotel where I got to meet the vendors I will be working with for my big day and everyone has exceeded my expectations thus far. Yvonne is always quick to get back to me with any questions or concerns and is simply amazing to work with! After searching through countless venues, Sofitel is the best value for your money and can tailor any needs you may have. The sofitel Miami was one of the most reasonable in price when I was looking for a venue for my wedding reception. However, the event coordinator, Samuel Espinoza was not very good...
at what he does and was never on top of things. After meeting with him multiple times, sending numerous emails and calling him very often he still managed to forget things. I gave him a written list of things I wanted to get donw the day of my event and even drew out a diagram of how I wanted my set up, including how I wanted each table set up. The day of my wedding I was very upset as I walked into the ballroom and realized he had forgot to place my glass charger plates on the tables (which I paid $4.25 for each). He also forgot to put 2 bars for cocktail hour (which I also paid for) this made the line for drinks extremely long since I had 140 guests. He has not even returned my phone calls and I basically lost my $600.00 worth of chargers! NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL!!!

d the last minute for Chicken because they claimed it was too rare. The catering managers were GREAT to work with. We only had a slight issue at the end of the might with the manager on duty that evening who wanted to charge us extra for something we were not aware off, but the catering manager took care of it the following Monday and there were no issues. My wedding was beautiful and Sofitel is a beautiful venue.
