Powerstation Events

company beforehand, none of the slower songs we provided were played, dinner music included random elevator-style instrumental music. The playlists that we spent a significant amount of time creating and shared with our DJ beforehand were largely ignored. We also contacted Powerstation after the wedding to provide detailed feedback and give them an opportunity to address our concerns. It has now been three weeks with no response. Unfortunately, based on both the service we received and the lack of follow-up afterward, we would not recommend Powerstation or Mike to other couples.

We had a lot of detailed instructions and were so happy how she executed it all exactly the way we visioned. She also partnered with our sax player/live singer. I was so happy with how everything went and would definitely recommend Christi for your event!

She met with us and crafted a memorable personalized script to read at the wedding and couldn't be kinder through the entire process. She also took her cues to let us read our personal vows and first kiss to leave the photo frames. She enhanced our special day in a meaningful way. Next up was the quality of the lighting and sound. Powerstation did a great job with transforming the lighting of the space and all sound quality for the ceremony and reception was great. They also threw in dancing stage lighting that enhanced the overall space as well. My only complaint was we didn't mesh that well with our DJ christi. It felt like most of the songs played at first were strickly old and things we check off a form rather than our request of a nice mix of music. After discussing that mid party since my wife is indian it swapped to a string of fully bollywood music until we had another conversation. Everything overall felt like it was strickly a spotify playlist rather than weaving songs together. Additionally ceremony song choices we only loosely based on what we wanted rather than sticking closer to our requests. Otherwise she was pleasant to work with and professional but I think we may have been served better by one of their other DJ's.

He's incredibly talented and knows how to appeal to the specific crowd while also seamlessly integrating your preferences. The ceremony was also flawless thanks to his expertise. Working with Jesse was so much fun and felt like having an old friend with us on our special day. We could not recommend him and Powerstation enough!!!

had envisioned it. He did a great job adhering to our specifications for ceremony and cocktail hour. The music during the reception was great (we got so many compliments!) and he was very responsive to the vibe of the crowd. A couple songs from our do not play list snuck in towards the end, but overall Frank did such a great job playing our wedding and we were so happy with how things turned out! Booking with powerstation was relatively easy as well. We did have a small snafu where our initial DJ ended up no longer being available for our wedding, however Rich at powerstation was quick to provide alternative options that suited us. The photobooth through powerstation was also great! The attendant was so lovely and did an amazing job arranging all of the photo strips into a guest book for us. The photo quality was great and we received a link to our photobooth pics a few days after the wedding and it was so nice to reminisce/look at everyones pictures! We are glad we booked with powerstation and would not hesitate to use Frank again!

That made it very easy to check the DJ tasks off our list whenever the time came.  For admin stuff, I mostly interacted with Alex at Powerstation, and he was incredibly responsive, which was appreciated. About a month prior to the wedding, Frank had a pre-call with us to go over planning and logistics for the ceremony and reception.  We were incredibly impressed by how Frank handled this pre-wedding call - organized, professional, and intentional. He directed the call and made sure every question was geared toward what we needed and/or what he needed to make things go smoothly, and what the day of would look like. It was time well spent. As for the day itself, Frank followed through on every single thing we discussed, which was a source of enormous comfort. In the pre-call, he previewed that throughout the ceremony/reception, he would do X, Y, and Z (e.g., hook us up with the mics pre-ceremony, check in about the volume during the dinner, make announcements, etc.)  He did every single thing he said he would do, and everything we asked him to do, when he said he would do it, with no fuss. It was seamless, which is everything you could possibly want. Cherry on top - DJ Frank absolutely killed it with the music. We gave a playlist for cocktail hour/dinner, but gave him just a loose idea of music for the dance portion, saying our sole priority was that we wanted to get people dancing. He hit it out of the park. The timing and choices were perfect, we appreciated his flexibility to take requests, and the dance floor was full the entire night so far as we could see. We've gotten so many compliments on this aspect of our wedding, and we both consider it one of the top top best parts of the day. We cannot recommend DJ Frank enough.

A big hit with guests of all ages and we LOVED seeing all of the pictures of the fun our friends and family had taking them. It was the perfect addition to the wedding—you won’t regret adding it on to yours!

He gave our wedding the perfect ambiance, he got the ceremony music perfect, and he knew what to do / what we needed before we could vocalize it ourselves. He was phenomenal. He handled rain contingencies and our very specific taste in music flawlessly! The jazz trio was out of this world! Their skill, passion, and music taste made our cocktail hour a true party and our guests loved it! The photo booth was a last minute addition and amazing! It came with a guest book which we loved looking through, and we were able to custom design our print out which was so much fun! Thank you Power Station and to anyone looking for true wedding professionals look no further!

and that the music we played made us happy on our special day! Our officiant, Charlie Saccavino was PERFECT for us. He created "Our Love Story" through a questionnaire filled out by both of us. It left guests full of many emotions and kept everyone engaged. It also got the conversations started amongst guests that they could 'feel the love in the room' as we got married. Definitely a memorable ceremony!

Adri did a great job of encouraging our guests to take photos and to have a fun time while taking pictures. She was so friendly and we love the photo book she put together! Jesse was hands down the best DJ and I would highly recommend him for any wedding/event. He put so much time and thought into the music for our ceremony and reception. He listened to my many requests and was super flexible with any changes I wanted made. As a bride, I felt as though Jesse really listened to my vision and he was truly able to make it come true. He was also so much fun and all of my guests loved him! He had such great energy and kept all the guests engaged and dancing. People have made many comments about how awesome he was! If I were to re-live the day again, I wouldn't change a thing! We were so lucky to have him! Charlie was amazing! From our first conversation with Charlie, we knew he was the officiant for us! He was easy to talk to and we felt as though he was able to understand exactly what we were looking for in a ceremony. We had many options to choose from and we loved that we were able to customize it to us and our relationship. Charlie was always available when needed, provided us with guidance, and clearly put the time and effort into making our ceremony so special. The day of, he was organized, well spoken, and professional. I would highly recommend Charlie to anyone looking for the perfect officiant!

We were able to help design our photobooth strips and after the wedding received a digital album as well as hard copies of all the pictures with handwritten messages from our guests. Our DJ Jesse was absolutely amazing, he truly understood our music taste and we loved every single song he played. It was such a beautiful and special touch to have a string quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour, the musicians were very talented and professional. We definitely recommend Powerstation and want to give a special shoutout to our amazing DJ, Jesse Chen!

I also appreciated the planning process with Powerstation Events to set us up with the right DJ for us, then all the forms for specific songs that we'd want played. to finish. On the day of, the event production team was early to set up our three separate sound systems. DJ Erik was a perfect fit for our wedding. He accommodated our requests, was in sync with our music tastes, kept a great flow to the night, and was very communicative. He coordinated all music and mics flawlessly during the ceremony, and kept us on schedule with speeches and dances during the reception. Overall, we highly recommend powerstation and DJ Erik for your event!

the wedding, he played a huge role in making sure the ceremony went smoothly by working the microphones and also announcing that are ceremony was unplugged (No cellphones). And of course I can't forget about the reception music! Jesse played the songs and artists we requested to tee while also incorporating other popular songs that kept people on the dance floor all night. The following day we had too many wedding guest to count come us to and say how much fun on the dance floor they had all night!! So definitely consider having powerstation and Jesse Ledeatte as your DJ, I can't recommend then enough!

He understood we had some extra needs for the ceremony (a live musician, a few extra microphones, etc.) and was happy to talk through the gear needed to make that happen. Christi, our DJ, was a fantastic energy to have with us for the day of our wedding. She was flexible and able to troubleshoot multiple problems, including not having enough cable, a missing microphone stand, and a HEAVY rainstorm at our tented reception. Through all of this she was sure to check in with us to make sure we didn’t need anything and even offered to act as a human mic stand during the ceremony! Most importantly, she understood the assignment to get butts on the dance floor, worked to find the right vibe, and kept everyone dancing till the very end. We can’t thank her enough! We did attempt to use Powerstation for our decor as well. After months of back-and-forth with Jenna, missed emails, and minimal follow-up, we decided to use a different vendor for the decor. We would absolutely recommend them for their DJ services!

a suggested/rebated option from our wedding location) proved to be very frustrating. The music portion of our wedding reception was disappointing (especially in comparison to all other vendors), and many of our requests for both the DJ and the photo booth (as well as general communcation and coordination of other peices of the package) were not delivered or needed to be handled by us/wedding coordinator on our wedding day. Dancing was the most important part of our reception to us. We told the DJ that we had created a playlist of popular and meaningful songs amongst our friends and family (as well as generally popular wedding/dance songs). We organized it so that he could just press play and add in the dedication songs that we requested. At the reception, some of the songs on our playlist were played, though not in the order that we would have wanted, and then there were songs played that we actively don’t like which would be very clear from the playlist we had shared and also our preference sheet and meetings. When I went up to request one song that was on the list, it did not seem to go over well and the song also stopped in the middle. When we met with the DJ, we also expressed that our group of family and friends are big dancers and it would not be an issue to get people on the dance floor.) That would be the reason why, even when our playlist was not played as requested, there were still many people on the dance floor. We had 2 hours to dance, and we had requested in our meetings and preference sheets special songs to be dedicated to friends and family. Apart from the parent/bride/groom dances and entrance, none of those songs were played. Many guests even questioned specific special songs being omitted and certain songs that were being played, especially when the dance floor emptied a bit when a song we didn’t want was on. People also noted the volume of the music was very low at many points and guests tried to communicate this to the DJ, and we danced anyway, because, as we shared, we/our friends and family love to dance, though it was a big let down in many ways. We understand that people have off days. It was just a huge disappointment that one of the important parts of our wedding day was truly not even close to what we dreamed of even if someone was having an off day. We would have hoped sharing a “plug-and-play” playlist could have avoided this. Perhaps it was our DJ choice, an off-day, we should have continually reminded him of our preferences, or we should have rented equipment and had a friend emcee.

t was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Rich G and Alex V were amazing DJs. Alex did the ceremony and cocktail hour while Rich did the reception. We had unusual requests for both of them and they handles everything amazingly. For our ceremony, we had instrumental versions of songs from popular movies - parents walked down to the Love Theme from Attack of the Clones, my husband to be processed to Going the Distance from Rocky as he wore a boxing robe, I walked down to Pure Imagination from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. They filled in the gaps during the lead up to the ceremony because I had guests comment on how much they loved hearing themes and songs from Game of Thrones, Edward Scissorhands, etc. For my wedding reception I had an escape room theme and asked that Rich could assist me on that. If guests put together a puzzle in their locked favor box they would get a secret message to "Tell the DJ The PassCode is Blue Harvest". If they went up to the DJ, he would then give me a special card I made that would then give them a secret message to find other secrets in the venue. I also had them go up to him for prizes if they received a scratch ticket or message that said so. Rich happily gave out these cards and prizes and my guests loved it and said they had so much fun. I also had a secret raffle at the end of the night. Rich worked with me and the wedding coordinator on timing for this so that when I announced it on his mic the confetti cannons went off and our last fun dance song immediately played, getting the entire crowd going! It was like I was in a movie! The entire night the dance floor was packed and I owe it to Rich for keeping everything alive and moving. He checked in with me and my husband every once in a while to make sure he was playing certain songs that we wanted. We didn't want very many slow songs but did at least request a few and he made to get the ones in that we wanted without slowing down the party too much. Rich and the team there know exactly what they are doing and I cannot recommend them enough!

s get matched up with the perfect DJ for us by asking very thoughtful questions about our wedding. He helped us get matched up with Frank who is truly an amazing DJ!! He had the dance floor going all night with an incredible mix of modern and classics. I really wanted something that every guest could appreciate and Frank understood that. He went along with every request (including my very important one to only play Taylor's Version of any TS songs) and gracefully deflected my family member's absurd music requests. Best of all was that Frank, Jesse, and the entire Powerstation team helped me pull off an incredible surprise to my husband. I had a custom processional song made and they worked with me to make sure he never suspected a thing. When the song played as I was coming down the aisle and my husband was crying/laughing in surprise, I knew that I had made the right choice in bringing on Powerstation to do our event. Thank you again for such an incredible evening!!!!
