I cannot express enough how happy we are that we hired PPE for our wedding! John contacted me and scheduled a meeting almost immediately after I sent an inquiry. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, so I knew it was the right fit. John was communicative and professional throughout the entire process. He answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to help us prepare for the big day. They have an incredible platform they use where you are able to submit all of your planning forms and even make a playlist. We love music, so we had a lot of songs in mind, but there is even a section that gives you song recommendations if you feel stuck and want to explore. My husband and I both work full-time, and John was super flexible with his schedule which helped a lot! Everything was absolutely seamless the day of our wedding thanks to John and his assistant, Guy! The music was spectacular and had our guests dancing from start to finish. They even ended the night with the best encore I've ever heard! The day after the wedding, I was upset that we hadn't captured a video of our last dance. John and Guy went out of their way to find the last dance in their footage and sent it to me along with a video montage they put together. I will cherish those videos forever and can't thank them enough for it! I highly recommend hiring PPE for all events!!

And when it came to the wedding itself, he absolutely knocked it out of the park! The energy was incredible, the dance floor was packed, and our guests had the BEST time! He knew exactly how to read the room, keep the party going, and create an atmosphere that made the night unforgettable.

John Petone was wonderful from the very beginning and helped set us up with an amazing team: Daniel as our photographer, Bobby as our videographer, and Glenn as our DJ. People genuinely do not believe me when I tell them the price we paid for all three services, especially after seeing the quality of everything we received. The value was incredible, and every single one of them was phenomenal.
Our wedding photos came back absolutely beautiful, and somehow we had all of them in our hands only ONE WEEK after our wedding, which is insane! Daniel captured our day perfectly, and we are so happy with how everything turned out. We are still waiting on our wedding video, but we are only two weeks out from the wedding, so we are very excited to see Bobby’s finished product!
Glenn, our DJ, was absolutely phenomenal. He read the room perfectly and kept the dance floor going all night. We actually had people texting us before we even got home from our honeymoon asking who our DJ was because they loved him so much!
One of my favorite parts about booking through Power Play was having our photographer, videographer, and DJ all through the same company. They worked flawlessly together throughout the entire day, and you could tell they were used to doing weddings together. It made everything feel so coordinated and seamless, and it was one less thing for us to worry about.

One of the most important things to us was finding a DJ who could get everyone on the dance floor and appeal to all ages. John absolutely nailed it! We had everyone from our flower girl, to our bridesmaids, to the grandmother of the bride out on the dance floor. Our guests danced ALL night long, and the energy never stopped!
John played all of our must-plays and perfectly captured the vibe we wanted for our wedding. My husband loves the classics, and John created the perfect cocktail hour playlist for us. I, on the other hand, wanted to be in the center of every dance circle—and John made sure I had plenty of opportunities to do just that! 😂💃🏼

We really appreciated that John and his assistant were unobtrusive on the event and let the wedding party and the music be the stars of the show. We also thought the uplighting looked fantastic and we enjoyed how it changed to reflect the music that was playing.
We do have to drop a star from our review because the microphone began cutting in an out during the ceremony and John and his assistant didn't cut the microphone which the officiant was repeatedly signaling for them to do, causing a moment that while we took with good humor was awkward for us and the officiant.

timely manner. The planning portal made everything so easy. When it was time for our details call with our DJ, Phil, he was also super friendly and very detail-oriented. We also used PPE for our photobooth and Frank reached out to us to plan that about a week out. They had great backdrop options and they were able to put the logo we created onto the print outs which we were so thrilled about!
The ceremony went flawlessly. Despite being a little wet, the sound system worked perfectly and the music was exactly what we wanted. For cocktail hour, we weren’t present until the last 20 minutes, but they played all the songs we wanted.
The reception was such a blast. Multiple guests have said they loved the music all night. Phil didn’t miss a single must play and really knew how to keep the party going. He played such a great mix of songs to appeal to all ages. The dance floor wasn’t empty all night (with the exception of dinner, of course). The first dance was perfect, Phil was able to play an MP3 file we had sent him which was awesome. The groom/moms dance was the only thing that maybe wasn’t perfect, but honestly nobody but us noticed. The dinner music was exactly what we wanted, too. We loved the uplighting and how they had our names on the DJ booth. Lastly, Frank ran the photobooth so smoothly. He was so friendly and shared the Google Drive of all of the photos with us literally the next day.
10/10 would recommend using PPE for your celebration!

He was open to last minute changes that we had, from speech order to the venue not being able to have a fog machine inside. He and Guy were excited about our Halloween/Gothic theme and suggested the perfect music when we needed suggestions. We were open to a Halloween “set” and they didn’t make it tacky. He was very good at reading the room and the spread of age groups we had ready to party.
John and Guy surprised us with video highlight reel of our reception that was so thoughtful and touching. We didn’t have a videographer so having a three minute video of our friends and family celebrating us was so special. Would recommend PPE to anyone looking to have a party that won’t quit.

John is also extremely responsive via email and phone, which is so appreciated. On the day, John and Guy provided great vibes with their energy and kindness, and were highly accommodating to our and our guests’ requests. They knew exactly how to insert natural transitions between requests and genres, and were always *right* on cue, all we had to do was dance the night away. They also provided beautiful uplighting that was right to our taste, a subtle pastel vibe, but had so many other options available for the night. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John.
John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything.
At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. The portal they have to plan the different aspects of your event is incredible, and makes the planning process a breeze with their attention to detail and step-by-step coordination call. We had a live guitarist at our cocktail hour which was a wonderful addition! We truly appreciated them being so professional, especially as we had to pivot the ceremony at the last minute due to the rain. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much fun it was to dance the night away! We cannot recommend Power Play Entertainment highly enough, they will make your wedding a dream!

DJ Phil did an outstanding job helping us organize our wedding playlists. From the processional to the very last song. He is amazing and passionate about his work. All of the guests at both of our events danced and loved the music! He did a phenomenal job incorporating popular songs, dance songs and our favorite style EDM so all of our guests enjoyed it. Additionally, the visual dance floor effects and up lighting was a nice touch as well.

The uplighting and dance floor lighting were gorgeous and essential for the romantic and festive ambiance we wanted. The Photo Booth was a big hit! We are so glad we did the Photo Booth - our guests had so much fun with it and it gave us a lot more photos of our guests (as our photographers were mainly focused on taking photos of us.) John is also a fantastic emcee. One of our favorite moments was when John was kicking off the reception with the introduction of us as a newlywed couple. His delivery was perfect and made all of us feel so excited. I would 100% recommend Power Play Entertainment for any engaged couple.

r wedding, I hadn’t heard anything from anyone- aside from the automated emails they send about 180 days to do, 60 days to do, etc. I finally reached out and asked if we were supposed to contact someone or what?? So I received a quick reply from John, but our DJ had been changed to Rob. When I finally spoke to this new DJ, he assumed we had another DJ company cancel on us because it was so last minute….but we booked with them almost a year in advance. So I’m guessing it was some kind of communication error on their part. DJ Rob ended up doing okay, there wasn’t much ‘hyping’ of the crowd or anything like that. The online tool that you use to pick music is very convenient. It’s not that the music was bad or anything, it just wasn’t an out of this world experience. Maybe would’ve been different if our Dj wasn’t switched or whatever happened last minute.
