Plan It Wright Events, LLC

provide vendors continuously. She provide bare minimum one maybe 2 choices of vendors and when she providing vendors they were bare minimum in what they provided and did not give many options for what we wanted. She focused more on trying to hire family members for things rather than searching for vendors. The quality and rating of the vendors she chose was poor and very little information about the vendors and did not meet expectations for what we were looking to do. We had to provide the planner with all resources. I used google to find my own venue, food vendor, photographer, DJ, etc. and gave her the information to her for contact to setup meetings and consultations with each vendor thinking this would create less stress for us. This backfired. Which ended up stressing us out more than we anticipated. The planner refused to sit in meetings that was imperative to the structure of how “we” wanted our ceremony and event to flow. Instead she reminded us that she had 15 years of experience and knew what she was doing. This created a issue at the ceremony in that she was structuring thing how she wanted rather than what the vendors and I planned based on “Our”wants. We provided constant reminders and feedback that each event is individualized and expectations are based on what “we” want not what she has done in the pass. It became very stressful. We hired her and couldn’t fire her without losing a great deal of money so we stuck it out. However, my suggestion would be to hire a more experienced, professional, qualified person for what it is that you are wanting. This vendor have the room to grow if she would put pride aside and focus on the wants needs of the customers rather than the need to prove that she knows what she is doing. She does have a great eye for decorating (setting up). None the less, it was a Lesson learned.
