About this vendor
Pioneer Productions is a videography business based in central Mississippi. This husband and wife team is owned by R.D. and Ashley Chisholm who are award-winning filmmakers in not only the wedding world, but also in documentary, commercial, and national broadcasting work. They've had experience in the wedding industry since 2011 and creating wedding films since 2016. Their expertise is in story-driven films that pull at the heartstrings.
When filming on wedding days, they tend to blend into the background in order to capture as many natural, unstaged moments as possible using a mix between documentary and cinematic video styles. During the editing process, their attention to detail and personalization for each couple is what makes their work stand out. R.D. & Ashley's business values are to make sure each client feels cared for while creating top-notch quality films.
One of the most important things to Pioneer Productions is giving back to their community. For every wedding booked, R.D. & Ashley donate their time and services to under-resourced projects such as non-profits, educational content, and deserving community members.
The best way to watch their wedding films is to pull up YouTube on your TV and make a night out of it! https://www.youtube.com/c/WeddingsbyPioneerProductions

Loved working with RD and Ashely! We loved our video so much. They were super easy to work with and we would highly recommend them!
Ashley and R.D. Chisholm are absolutely wonderful! My husband and I had a very complicated wedding weekend due to the combination of two different cultures. They worked with us and...
made sure to listen to us! Not only are both them great at what they do, but they are such genuine, kind souls. They captured the raw emotions throughout the wedding process. Our wedding trailer was given with such a quick turn around and so well made. I still cry every single time I watch the videos because of how well they captured our weekend. They were also very open to different religious and cultural experiences! We loved working with them! We are so thankful to have had Pioneer Productions for our wedding!
Ashley and RD were such a welcome part of our wedding day. We knew from the engagement that we wanted a video to remember the special moments of our big day and we knew we wanted i...
t to be Pioneer Productions. We loved how well they showed the character and love of the past couples in their videos and they did just that for us. Ashley and RD were there from start to finish capturing quiet family moments, prayers, chaotic finishing touches, and the most special “I do”’s. There were parts of the wedding I didn’t even remember until we watched the video! Their presence was comforting but non-invasive and we never felt awkward or uncomfortable. I even forgot they were there multiple times which allowed them to capture the more candid moments that I most enjoy. The video quality and artistry is beyond anything we could have fathomed. I’m so thankful we chose to entrust this task and these memories into such talented and kind people.
I cannot recommend Pioneer Productions enough! I have watched their videos for years and been in awe, so I knew we needed to have them for our wedding. However, I couldn’t have ima...
gined just how perfect our wedding film would be.
They captured every special moment—shared glances, excited whispers, funny moments, dance moves, our vows, our prayers—in such a beautiful way. Since our wedding was small, this video has been a way to share the best of our wedding with everyone we love. Everyone who has seen it has been struck by the beauty of their work and how perfectly they captured us.
RD and Ashley have worked with us every step of the way and consistently gone the extra mile to make our experience with them perfect. Every interaction with them reveals that they are loving, generous people, which is something I was always blessed by. They are also an absolute pleasure to be around, (warm, kind, respectful of and completely present in the moment) and they seamlessly blended into the background of our special day.
* I can say with confidence that hiring Pioneer Productions was the best decision we made for our wedding, apart from deciding to finally get married of course! We will forever treasure our wedding film and our experience with them 💗
We decided about a month out from our wedding that we wanted a videographer. Choosing Pioneer Productions was one of the best things we did. I fell in love with their storytelling ...
from the first video I watched. If I could do my wedding day over, I’d choose Ashley and RD every time. They were a joy to work with and the memories they captured are my favorite of our entire day.
Great video quality! I cannot stop watching mine. I feel like I see a new detail in my wedding video every time I watch it. The videos they create are personal, and they really cap...
ture every part of the wedding. The work is good quality, and they capture the wedding from all angles. My wedding video even included aerial shots. Another benefit to choosing them is you can review their previous work on their website.
