Beautiful venue and great food… but the treatment, communication, and unprofessional behavior left us heartbroken.
Our wedding day was visually stunning. The venue itself is truly... beautiful, the food exceeded expectations, and a couple of the staff members went above and beyond. I want to acknowledge those positives because they mattered to us.
Unfortunately, the beauty of the space could not outweigh what unfolded before, during, and after our wedding. What we experienced was so unexpected, unprofessional, and hurtful that we feel compelled to share it.
Communication beforehand was inconsistent and frustrating. Emails went unanswered or only partially addressed. Our coordinator, Gloria, was polite but distant, never warm or reassuring, and we didn’t feel supported at any point. Nothing we clarified or outlined ahead of time seemed to matter.
The most painful part of our experience was during the wedding. Our DJ, Rob, was treated with hostility. The lead staff member, Kurt/Kirk, insulted him, mocked his setup, called him names, and told him his plan was “stupid” and “pointless,” even though Rob had cleared everything with us and Gloria in advance. At one point, he physically tore down Rob’s equipment while continuing to belittle him. Rob has decades of experience and said he’s never encountered behavior like this. He had to step outside to compose himself.
This staff member also bizarrely told Rob the building was “owned by the mafia,” which was inappropriate and unsettling. We weren’t sure why that was said.
Staff also removed the speakers from the back of the reception room, half our guests couldn’t hear the reception, missing speeches, music, and moments we will never get back.
Bar service was inconsistent. The female bartender was great, but the male bartender made strange comments about my husband’s attire and didn’t seem to know whose wedding he was working. Our signature drinks were also poured in different colors, showing lack of care and professionalism.
After the wedding, several items went missing, including my engagement ring, glasses, and purses. My maid of honor called and visited the venue; a staff member said he would notify the cleaning crew. When our photographer later asked about lost items, Gloria said she had no idea anything had been reported. My mom also left a voicemail. We have still not received a single call back, silence hurts more than “we didn’t find anything.”
What hurts most is the feeling that once our final payment cleared, we stopped mattering. The venue is beautiful and the food is excellent, but weddings are about care, respect, and professionalism. In every area that mattered, we were let down.
I hope management takes this seriously, because no couple should leave their wedding day feeling the way we do.
