We made the bottom and top tiers that it tasted like biting into an actual cinnamon roll!! Everyone was shocked and we got a lot of compliments on the cake. The middle tier was a basic almond with blueberry filling and that was so delicious too. We have absolutely zero regrets on our pick. Then I also had a specific vision in mind where the sides were lavender and not too much icing, I showed them 2 inspiration pictures on Pinterest and the bakery honestly NAILED it. The decorations did cost extra ($1.75 a slice) how I wanted it because it was detailed but god when I saw that cake at the venue I cried it was so perfect. So thank you, Piece of Cake! We'll be back for more.

Additionally, Piece of Cake were able to create gluten-free cupcakes for our guests. Who, by the way, loved every piece of cake we gave them! We chose the Red Velvet, Chocolate, and Vanilla flavors, and our guests were blown away by each one. We saved a layer of Churro cake for ourselves! Get Piece of Cake for your needs and all of your guests will love it!

the team at Piece of Cake, specifically Hannah who made our cake. At the tasting the options were delectable and finding a design was hard because there were so many beautiful and different choices. Again here is where having expert advice is invaluable. Hannah asked relevant questions to help us zero in on design that was ultimately VERY us as a couple. The end result was a cake with 2 flavors we wanted and would be enjoyed by our guests (enough that the day after the wedding folks were asking if we had cake left over because they wanted more!!) and a design we felt was unique and frankly awesome. I think for our anniversary we will order a cake from them to celebrate and just taste the delicious creation they bake.

g cake this is not the vendor I would chose. I showed a photo of a beautiful cake on Pinterest for inspiration and was told it "might be possible" then immediately after was shown a gallery of all their old cakes and told to chose between old designs. There was no opportunity for creativity or customization. The cake I dreamed of was never an option here. On top of that, I specified that I wanted two layers, however the cake was drafted up with four layers because of our guest count. Everything felt extremely cookie cutter with the design. What they are able to do is beautiful, but if you want anything different from what they have already done then find another cake vendor. Then came the tasting, which was truly the deal breaker. We were given four of their best selling cakes: vanilla almond, red velvet, devils food, and churro. She specified that the almond cake was "artificially flavored" which I assumed was her way to say it was nut allergy friendly. Upon tasting the cakes, they were flavorless, too sweet, and tasted as if they had been sprayed with water to add moisture. We did try the carrot cake (no fresh carrots in sight), marble cake (the only palatable option), and funfetti flavors which were okay but not good enough to seal the deal. Maybe we came on a bad day, but this was my honest experience.

O moist and delicious!! You would think that the chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream would be overwhelming but it's FANTASTIC- it's absolutely addicting! Everyone LOVED the church cake. Their service was one of the only things at the wedding that went perfectly, and I'm so glad that we went with them! We 100% recommend them to an couple looking for their wedding cake vendor!

e to admit this, but he was absolutely correct. Make the rounds and taste the cakes. It was well worth our time. Ultimately, we chose Piece of Cake Desserts in Gilbert, AZ. First of all, we loved the taste. Of all the cakes we tried, we definitely loved the flavor of Piece of Cake the best. Hands down. For the design, we wanted an octagonal design. Unfortunately, they only had six sided pans, so hexagonal it was. In the end, hexagonal was the right choice. We needed three layers so we chose three flavors. The top layer was pink champagne, the middle flavor was white almond and the bottom layer was churro. We had no inkling we would choose a churro flavored layer but tasting was believing. Working with the vendor was easy. The set appointments for meeting them and kept on schedule. They made recommendations that added to our event. They delivered and set up the cake on time and added the fresh flowers provided resulting in a visually stunning cake just the way we wanted it. Extremely satisfied - highly recommend.

Amy was so accommodating with all of my questions and assured us everything would be okay (we had to postpone a year due to COVID). The cake they created was AWESOME. We got the cupcake tower and had 4 different flavors - EVERYONE complimented how great the cupcakes were and there weren't many left by the end of the night. Amy helped get us allergy free cupcakes and was very responsive with her communication. I recommend Piece of Cake for any cake/dessert needs, not just weddings, as their cupcakes are AWESOME and I've been a customer for a while.

re "simple" design, which we were not offered any suggestions, or we could choose another bakery. We attempted to modify our cake design, and again told it was too complex for them to make without offering suggestions as to what they could make. After all of this back and forth, it was about 2 weeks before our wedding and we were left scrambling to order a cake. We were extremely upset and distressed. To add insult to injury, the owner, contacted us via email stating that covid has had this huge impact on his business and employees. I can imagine, but here we are trying to order a cake from his bakery that wants to refer us to other companies due to a "complex cake design" and covid impact. Funny thing is, I called a bakery that we have been using for about 10 years, and they made our cake without any issues. No complaints about complex design, no complaints about increased in weddings and cannot accommodate us, no complaints about covid. They delivered the cake and it was exactly the same flavors we picked out at Piece of Cake. So, I won't be ordering from Piece of Cake, ever. I like to support small businesses and I have empathy about the covid impact, but to leave a bride and groom scrambling to find a cake in a short amount of time and all the back and forth communication; it seemed their customer service is not in the right place. Maybe our order just wasn't worth their time in the end.
