ur wedding such a fun dance party and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend PSE and DJ Micah!
Natalie, DJ Joe, and Micah are the best Philly has to offer in terms of wedding production. Each of them are masters of their craft in paying attention to detail, execution, and de...
livering on everything you ask for and extra! They truly elevated our epic wedding and we couldn't have been more thrilled and grateful for their services. Seriously, hire them. They have the best rates and packages out there -- and they are seriously worth every dollar!
DJ Joe was absolutely fantastic! He mastered the tone of each part of the wedding throughout the evening. He and Natalie were great to work with. Their online client portal brought...
up questions we didn't even think to ask, and as such ensured we had every part of the evening covered. Natalie is so kind and efficient, Joe was the perfect leader and kept the party going! I cannot recommend Philly Star Events enough!
Natalie and DJ Micah were so genuine, kind, and all around great to work with! From beginning to end, Natalie was thorough in her communication and just made planning easy for us. ...
Micah graciously accommodated our special situation of switching between DJ music and a two-person Greek band for traditional Greek music throughout the reception. The transitions were seamless, and DJ Micah did a wonderful job hosting. We loved working with PSE!
From the moment I spoke with Natalie on the phone for our consultation I knew their team was exactly what we were looking for. DJ Micah was the perfect DJ for us and he did an abso...
lutely phenomenal job. The up-lighting was done by Natalie herself and was gorgeous! Everyone kept talking about how beautiful and cool our custom light monogram was! DJ Micah literally played every song I had on our playlist and then some. My dad performed Elvis and wanted the song list to be a surprise so he worked with Natalie and DJ Micah personally; he was so impressed with the customer service. Honestly, throughout the planning process and the night of our wedding, a beat was never missed. We are so grateful to the Philly Star team and will definitely be recommending to everyone we know!
DJ Joe was the best choice we made while planning our wedding! Rewatching the video confirms that. During our meeting, we told DJ Joe that we just wanted a great party and he made ...
sure that was the case! The dance floor was packed the whole night and he paced the night perfectly. He really listened to our ideas and preferences and executed perfectly. Hire DJ Joe!
DJ Joe was absolutely INCREDIBLE at our wedding. The music was exactly what we wanted, and all of our guests were blown away with how much fun he was. The entire process with Phill...
y Star Events was so streamlined and they made the planning so simple. We can’t say enough good things about them. THANK YOU Joe and Philly Star Events!!
We had high expectations for Philly Star Events and they surpassed those expectations. Natalie set up the lighting very elegantly and it was exactly what we wanted. The guests sp...
oke highly of the monogram they designed and thought it was very tasteful. The music was perfect!! DJ Joe was a true professional and integrated both the bride and grooms requests but also gauged the crowds flow for improvisation. He mixed in the Motown classics (which we requested) that the older folks like but with a dancier modern twist that got everyone moving. He also got in the bride and grooms staples of old school hip hop and modern new hits. He played enough of the ones we wanted and improvised perfectly. Philly Star prepared and set everything up so that we barely noticed any wiring and things getting in the way. We really enjoyed the pre-wedding meeting to help iron out the song list, lighting, and monogram. Highly recommended, couldnt have done it any better!
Micah was amazing! Hands down! There are wedding guests now-months later commenting on how good our dj was. His MC skills were exactly what we wanted: he subtly interacted with gue...
sts and played a variety songs that got everyone up from their seats and on the dance floor. I admit that we were at the top of our budget for our wedding dj, but Micah was well worth every penny. We highly recommend this company.
From the initial planning sessions to emails updates along the way and to the last in person planning meeting, Philly Star communicated with us with great warmth and professionalis...
m all the way. Our wedding day was a long work day for the DJ since it started at 2pm and didn't end until 930pm. He played music in 3 locations (on the beach for the ceremony, in a small room with a large bar for cocktails and in the main ball room for our reception). The team expertly transitioned from one location to the other with great ease. They had a lot of equipment for each of the spaces and executed the set up for everything with precision. Our DJ's choice of music and his ability to read the crowd kept even the most reserved folks in our group dancing ! I kid you not people! We were shocked. The groom had so much fun on the dance floor to the point of not wanting to be peeled away when our guests asked to take photos! The pink uplighting and custom monogram were PHENOMENAL! The pink colored lights perfectly matched everything that we chose. Natalie is so kind hearted and helpful and full of fun ideas. She worked as our lighting designer and created our custom monogram which everyone took photos of. Philly Star Events is a truly a professional company ran by great people that really love doing what they do. If you've envisioned a wedding with everybody (younger, older, and in-between ages) having fun on the dance floor, hire them!
Where do I start? Our DJ with Philly Star Events did an amazing job during the entire time our wedding reception! The music was incredible - I got so much POSITIVE feedback from co...
untless guests who keep saying that the reception had the best mix of music that they'd ever heard at a reception! DJ Ariel really kept our crowd going until the very end of the night, which we loved. He paced the music just right and did a superb job at reading the crowd. He knew exactly what to play for younger crowds and the older crowds loved how he played the classics. The music definitely made our night! We highly recommend Ariel! He listened to everything we wished for for our day.
Philly Stars was the DJ at our wedding DJ rocked it! They combined the music I requested with some of his own choices and got it right! We met with our DJ a month before the weddin...
g in center city at the company's office and they helped us get everything together. Natalie is great, btw. She found a way for me to appease my new in-laws who asked us to do things during the reception that we really didn't want to do. Sigh of relief. My fiancée and I had a NYE wedding and our DJ did an excellent job at keeping everyone lively, even way after the clock struck 12! Our guests partied and had lots of fun. I could not be happier about hiring Philly Star Events
We hired Philly Star DJs for our wedding, and couldn't be happier that we did! Natalie was always there if we had any questions or if we just wanted to discuss our wedding. DJ Joe ...
Broscoe crushed the 1s and 2s on our wedding night, and the party never stopped. From the moment that we met Joe, we were impressed by his energy and feel for a crowd, and on our wedding night, he really shined; his setup, song choice and feel for the crowd were second to none. Beyond his great talent and ear for music, Joe is a good, genuine dude that we'd be happy to work with again.
I picked this DJ since they had worked with my venue before and were familiar with the set up process. This was important because one of the rooms had poor sound quality, and Phil...
ly Star assured me they would be able to take care of the sound for an additional cost. Because we were using two rooms for dinner and dancing, we were told we would have two DJs as well. Well, no one could could hear the speeches in the dinner room and there was only one DJ. I felt let down during the dinner portion, however during the dancing portion, the DJ that was there was fantastic. DJ Ty kept the party going and no one wanted to leave the dance floor. I heard nothing but positives after the wedding. Overall, because of the negative aspects that I experienced, I probably wouldn't recommend this company to a friend.
The music was phenomenal and DJ Joe is the best. The congo drummer was a nice addition.
DJ Joe played the best music at my wedding. Everyone was on the dance the floor the entire night. We had so many guests coming up to me and my husband about how great the music was...
. DJ Joe was so nice and easy to work with. We had a lot of requests to play specific songs and certain type of music. He really understood our taste in music and made it a great party!
First of all Natalie is one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. I used this company for school proms for a couple of years, so I have had experience with them prior to my ...
wedding. The lighting was perfect. The music was perfectly blended, DJ Joe gets major props for finding Ukrainian and Mexican music. My guests danced and had fun and each culture was represented, everything was custom for our wedding. I couldn't ask for more.
Philly Star DJ's were recommended by our reception venue, and they were great! We worked with DJ Joe and after talking with him on the phone prior to the big day, I knew we were i...
n good hands! He was great at pacing our reception, and knew when the party was really ready to start! He kept everyone on the dancefloor all night, which is exactly what we wanted! No cheesy dances/music or lots of taking - just the great music we wanted!
Our entire wedding reception was a fun, upbeat party thanks to the DJ. He followed all of our requests and our do not play list. He listened to our overall music likes and dislik...
es and kept the music appropriate the entire reception. He was not chatty on the microphone and he didn't make it about him.
They also did our monogram on the floor, which Natalie helped me design. It fit exactly with our theme.
The uplighting was perfect. The color enhanced the room without making it look like a cheap night club.
Overall - excellent job - and great to work with
