We booked this photographer 10 months ahead of our wedding based on our venue's recommendation and paid a $900 deposit. Unfortunately, after that, we were completely ghosted—no res...
ponse to phone calls, emails, or any form of communication. Even our venue tried reaching out on our behalf, with no luck. Left in a difficult position, we had to scramble and find a new photographer just two months before our wedding. As of now, after the wedding, we still haven't heard anything from the vendor or received our deposit back.
Communication is everything especially when booking out of state. We had our micro- wedding 5.4.24 and they just did pictures of us and our family. Phil told us 4-6 weeks to get o...
ur pictures. At 6 weeks I sent an email asking for an updated timeline. 4 days later a text to Kristen, 3 days after that another email and call. We are at 8 weeks after our wedding and absolutely no communication. I’m starting to get very concerned that we won’t even get our photos. I’d love to update my review if we could get any type of communication.
Phil and Kristen were perfect in every way! Exactly what we were looking for when it came to capturing the vibe of our summer wedding on a horse farm in the Blue Ridge mountains. I...
was hard pressed to find a wedding photographer that provided photos that were rich and warm and inviting, not washed out, and they did exactly that. Not only are their photos stunning, but they are just as friendly and personable as they are professional. Plus, who wouldn't want two cameras capturing the day, as opposed to one? I would absolutely recommend Phil and Kristen to anyone!
We loved Kristen! We had a small wedding on a weekday. We appreciated how willing and excited she was to work with us. She was thorough and helped us plan the perfect timeline. She...

They were with us from start to finish on our day. Kristen was encouraging and kind and Phil kept our wedding party laughing and enjoying themselves.
We HIGHLY recommend Kristen and Phil!!!!!!!
Bonus points that they knew the venue so well and worked so well with our videographer!!
Phil and Kristen were fantastic to work with for our wedding. They make sure to know what shots are most important to you and also do a great job of scoping out the venue. They mad...
e everything easy and did wonderful job of engaging people to get candid and posed photos. Several things stood out to me about Phil and Kristen. For one, with the busyness of the day, we didn’t have time to get details together for photos. Kristen went out of her way to get this done without imposing on us any more than asking us for our rings for a bit. Our guests also couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic Phil’s energy was on the dance floor while getting the action shots. Not to mention how stunning the photos turned out! We will cherish these photos forever. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking of booking Phil and Kristen. Their work speaks for itself!
Kristen was a great photographer who helped to capture our wedding perfectly! She did a good job of communicating and made us feel relaxed and at ease while taking photos. She also...
was able to capture many beautiful candids of family and friends and the beauty of our venue and the mountains. Would recommend!
Kristen and Phil were incredible at our wedding and our engagement shoot. I am not someone who naturally knows how to pose/stand for pictures and Kristen was able to easily walk us...
through it and made everything so fun! Even when we had a slight rain delay at the wedding they were able to work with us to ensure that we got all of the photos that I wanted to get. We are absolutely in love with all of our photos.

stablishing a timeline a very seamless and helpful process. They made sure that we got all the photos we wanted while helping us maintain our wedding timeline so that we could be at the events we wanted to, such as the cocktail hour. Phil and Kristen are incredibly talented photographers who made our wedding day unforgettable with the most amazing pictures. They were incredibly fun to with with as well, it was so awesome to have them around for our reception to capture some of the guests partying. On top of everything, i believe they offer a unique experience as a husband and wife duo. They were able to help my wife and I lose for our pictures and help us have fun while doing it. I would highly recommend them for any event!
I cannot speak highly enough of Kristen and her ability to truly make you feel comfortable in front of a camera. (We opted out of having two photographers since we had such a small...
group so I can't speak for Phil but I'm sure his charisma matches Kristen's.) She was such a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding and helped lay out a photography plan with my coordinator to ensure that no desired photos were missed and each one turned out to be so beautiful. She helped guide me and my husband into the most lovely areas on property for our portraits. Each beautiful moment of the evening was captured and her creativity is unparalleled. We were laughing together the whole day/night. I am so grateful to have these special moments that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. If you've stumbled upon this review or her page, please go ahead and schedule a call with her. You absolutely will not be disappointed. Thank you so much, Kristen!
Phil and Kristen made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. They pose you, find the best picturesque spots and they are able to take charge of the wedding party/ family photos...
. They were such a joy to work with, making the day super fun and all about us as a couple. On the backend with the contract and getting photos back in a timely manner they are very professional and reachable. It was really cool to get to work with a loving couple, they each understand the dynamic of the day from the individual as well as couples perspective. We are extremely happy with our photo album, they captured our wedding day perfectly and tell our story.
best photo team ever!!!

We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Kristen and would highly recommend! My husband and I were nervous about the pictures because neither of us are very good at posing,...
but she was able to coach us through it all and the pictures came out looking beautiful and natural. You can just tell that she has a huge amount of experience in this area and knowledge about what to do to create good pictures. She is a very friendly and sweet person and she's good at what she does. She made our photography experience go from something we were nervous about to something we ended up enjoying!
Phil and Kristen were the best! They were both so personal, kind, and outgoing, making everyone feel comfortable. We had a big a bridal party and a slightly rowdy crew, but Phil an...
d Kristen were able to organize everyone and help us keep to schedule. The photos are stunning! We were going for the genuine, candid photos while capturing the beautiful landscape, and that’s exactly what they delivered. Couldn’t be happier!! Huge thanks to Phil and Kristen!
We originally met Phil and Kristen at a friend's wedding. Their willingness to engage guests to get both candid and staged shots stood out to us. We knew from the brief time of bei...
ng around them and the resulting photos that we wanted them to also be our photographers! Prior to our wedding, Kristen spoke with us several times to lay out the schedule of photos, and to also make sure everything that we wanted to capture was included in the plan. They turned what could have been a tedious job of group photos into something light-hearted and easy. They make everyone feel comfortable, and their personalities are the best part about having them as part of a wedding vendor team. They are both hilarious, and also worked well with our videographer. After the wedding, my coordinator even commented about how wonderful they were. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to work with Phil and Kristen!
We were so impressed by Phil and Kristen Photography. From day one, they have been extremely organized and helpful. They were able to recommend some of their favorite vendors in ad...
dition to taking fabulous photos. We had tons of fun working with them and they truly shared in our excitement. Phil had tons of jokes and made us laugh all throughout the photo sessions, so even when our cheeks were aching, all the smiles were extremely genuine! The photos turned out amazing and really captured “us”. It felt like we had friends partying with us rather than strangers taking pictures. We can’t thank them enough for making our big day even better!!
We truly can't say enough incredible things about Kristen & Phil!! I found their page in the thousands of suggested vendors on The Knot and as soon as my husband and I read through...
their bio I knew we had found a true gem of a team. Kristen is incredibly organized and caring throughout the entire process, always patient and schedules phone calls a few times leading up to a shoot to make sure she has a clear understanding of your vision. On the engagement shoot day, it honestly felt like we had been longtime friends and we felt free & encouraged to be authentic and just have a good time! When our engagement session came back we both cried and were so grateful that our paths had crossed theirs. Having both of them taking photos and getting all angles is really great and makes for some fun unexpected shots which I love. The wedding was incredible from start to finish and they captured all of that in our album. They were up for our unique requests and so many of our guests have commented that the quality of the photos is truly unmatched! Forever grateful for Kristen & Phil. They will be our recommendation for an out of this world wedding/couple photographer for the foreseeable future!!
I cannot say enough good things about Phil & Kristen Photography. My husband and I eloped, just the two of us, so photography was incredibly important to capture our day and allow ...
us to share it later with family and friends. We chose Phil and Kristen for our elopement based off their beautiful work online and great reviews. They exceeded our expectations! From the beginning, Kristen was professional, friendly, and her knowledge and experience helped tremendously in coordinating the timeline and details of our elopement. Phil and Kristen went above and beyond touring the facility with our wedding planner prior to the ceremony to check out the best locations. Their direction and eye for finding beautiful landscapes produced great photos. My husband and I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. In addition to their great photography work, Phil and Kristen were wonderful company to have with us on our wedding day! When the photos arrived, my husband and I were blown away with how beautifully and perfectly they captured our day. The photos are gorgeous, and we could not be happier we chose them to be our wedding photographers. We highly, highly recommend Phil & Kristen Photography!
Phil & Kristen were SO AMAZING. I asked 10 million questions, and Kristen answered them all right away without making me feel like I was annoying. She also taught us in the moment ...
how to cut our cake (lol). Hot tip: practice beforehand! They both were very kind to our guests, while ensuring that my husband and I were top priority. They also didn't let our mom-zillas boss them around, which is honestly a huge deal and not easy to do. I 1000000% recommend them if you're getting married in the Asheville area. Any time for the rest of my life that I need professional photos, I will go with Phil & Kristen.
We booked Phil and Kristen because they immediately made us feel at ease during our initial consultation. Once we met them for an engagement shoot, it only reinforced that we made ...
the perfect choice for our wedding. They made us laugh, feel comfortable and most importantly, they captured beautiful photos of all of our loved ones on the most important day of our life! We even recommended them to my brother for their special day as well (which was also amazing and they felt the same way!). We cannot recommend them enough and will be using them for all of our big moments in the future!

nality put me at ease right away. We had no clue what we were doing, and she basically planned the whole day perfectly. Phil and Kristen are both amazing at giving direction for people like us who aren't exactly naturals on camera, and we could not be happier with how our pictures turned out. Also they're just adorable lovebirds, so they know what they're doing when it comes to capturing love.

e a day of timeline, picked out some awesome photo spots at the venue, and made sure we had time to take golden hour photos. We got a handful of pictures a few days after the wedding, a "preview" of more than 100 photos a few weeks later, and 1500+ photos 3 months later. We also used them for our engagement photos. The wedding photos & engagement photos are loved by all! 10/10 would recommend!

We worked with Phil and Kristen during crazy corona times and they helped us transition planning pictures for 250 to 15 with ease! Best decision we made for our wedding and highly recommend to anyone. Not to mention the pictures were INCREDIBLE which was a huge plus since so many friends and family didn’t get to come to the wedding!!

dding needed to be. I appreciate her email follow-ups from initial reach out to picture delivery, communication is 11/10!
One thing I truly appreciated and something I am particular about is odd posture/people placement in photos. This was something that Kristen/Phil consistently ensured was appropriate and gave tips/tricks to our [huge] family as well as the bride/groom to look their best. This takes a certain level of creativity and Kristen/Phil definitely had that touch! They also took pictures of our guests and they were raving about Phil and Kristen professionalism!
Picture quality was stunning! Picture delivery was very flexible! Timeliness is precise and they will put a schedule in place to ensure you get all the picture you need, they will alert you when something is taking a bit longer than anticipated.
Overall, it was a tremendous pleasure working with Phil and Kristen and will certainly be using them for my wedding!

ation with them to the wedding day itself. They even helped us with little details the day of like helping us pin on our boutonnieres to figuring out the best timing during the dinner of when to take photos with all of our guests. They were both very easy to work with, calm, and had a good sense of humor. And of course, the photos we got back (both the teasers we got back very quickly as well as the final set of photos) were really beautiful. I highly recommend them!

and funny, I felt so comfortable the second we met. We kept getting to know each other through working out all the details, timeline, etc. and because she was so knowledgeable about scheduling, best times of day for the "golden" light everyone wants, navigating family dynamics, etc. I ended up booking them for our rehearsal dinner photos as well as our wedding day. Not many people are cutout for such a fast-paced and demanding industry. I'm telling you, Phil & Kristen were made for this. Not only is their artistry breathtaking, but their patience and genuine care for their clients is what sets them apart from the rest. Please book them! You will have the best memories and the best photos to treasure for the rest of your life.

We got married at The Farm (NC), so we wanted photographers who were familiar with the venue. Phil and Kristen knew exactly where to take us and we trusted them 100% to get the best shots.
They were also just great people to work with. Kristen was so responsive with all of my emails, which I really appreciated since we planned our Asheville wedding from San Francisco. Our guests also raved about them and couldn't even tell when they were around. They were extremely professional and didn't get in the way. Phil also had us cracking up the whole time and just made the experience so fun!
All in all, Phil and Kristen were one of our favorite vendors to work with!

I was an out of town bride and that did not make for any difficulties when it came to setting up email and phone conversations to discuss the process for the day of the wedding. On the wedding day they were prompt and on time.Kristen is seriously a gem of a person she definitely made me feel like it was truly my day.It was cold that day and being from South Florida I am not used to 50 degree weather but she was postive ,patient and super encouraging every step of the way. Both her and Phil are an amazing duo and very kind people. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, we took so many pictures and they truly took advantage of every angle at the property we got married in.I recently received a link to a teaser of our photos and both my husband and I were blown away.Amazing content and quality! I cannot recommend them enough for any future couple looking for great photographers to work with!

They were excellent about detailing out the whole process from helping us pick how many hours were needed, to confirming which specific photos we wanted, and putting together a photography timeline for the day of. It was obvious they knew what to do and the best way to go about making sure everything went well. The day of they were completely prepared and were just a blast to work with, making a busy day one with good times and great memories. During the wedding they gave fantastic ideas of photos and were open to listening and capturing the moments that were most important to us. We left feeling like we were thanking good friends for being such an amazing part of our special day and later, seeing the stunning results, was just that much more amazing! We don't think we could have found a better photography team to capture our special day.
