MJ did a beautiful job arranging the florals for our wedding at the Meridian House. Although there was initially quite a bit of misunderstanding on our end when we were emailing t...
o discuss pricing and our needs, MJ was patient and was sure to follow up several times to ensure she knew exactly what we were requesting and we knew what we were paying for. During the booking process, we told her she had creative license but we also sent her a few examples of what we thought would look nice, i.e., a few ground and aisle arrangements for the ceremony, simple bud vases for the cocktail and reception, and boutonnieres and corsages in white, green, and lilac, and she delivered just that. She promptly set up the ceremony and cocktail pieces and arranged the bud vases and bigger arrangements so that our coordinator could quickly repurpose them for the reception. The boutonnieres were attached via magnet, as opposed to the traditional pin on the lapel, which was an efficient and modern touch.
We had the absolute pleasure of working with MJ for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very beginning, MJ was professional, friendly, and incredibly...
responsive. She took the time to understand our vision and worked closely with us to create the perfect look for our special day.
MJ’s background from the Parsons School of Design in NYC gave us confidence in her fashion-forward and modern approach to florals, and she did not disappoint. She created a stunning mockup ahead of the wedding, which reassured us that we were in great hands.
We wanted a lot of greenery with a variety of white flowers, and what MJ installed was nothing short of absolute perfection. The arrangements were breathtaking and exactly what we envisioned. MJ truly has an eye for detail and design, and we are beyond grateful for her amazing work.
Thank you, MJ, for making our wedding day so beautiful and memorable. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and creative florist!
I loved working with MJ. Beautiful flowers was one of the biggest priorities for my fiance and me for our wedding and Petal DC was recommended to us by a colleague. When you hire a...
florist, you have to put a huge amount of trust in them - you share your vision and colors, but at the end of the day, you're still at the mercy of what's available the week of your wedding. MJ more than delivered. MJ and I had a detailed planning call and numerous back-and-forth emails to work out my order. She made my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, centerpieces, aisle decor, and a gorgeous floral ground arch for our ceremony that was then wrapped around our sweetheart table. MJ was also able to stay after our ceremony and help flip the space so everything was set up exactly right. The flower choices and colors were beautiful - it was fully in line with my vision and even better than I could have imagined. We received so many compliments on the flowers and our guests were really excited to take them home at the end of the night. I would highly recommend working with Petal DC and MJ for our wedding!

eces, bud vase arrangements, and a beautiful chuppah with hanging flowers for our wedding. She was helpful throughout the planning process.
MJ was extremely professional, easy to work with, and beautifully decorated our venue within our budget.
We worked with MJ for our flowers for our wedding. We got married at a restaurant in DC that already had some plants/greenery, so we wanted to bring in just a touch more to help ma...
ke it feel more like a wedding. We had a few calls with MJ regarding the space, budget, and type of vibe we were going for. Everything was super easy and she was able to send examples of what type of displays, bouquets, and accents that we would have and an itemized budget for each item. The day of experience was even better than I anticipated. She created a cascading flower arrangement on an outdoor staircase on that matched our vision picture perfectly. She suggested really pretty window displays and a flower wall that was executed to perfection. I honestly didn't have to think too much about the flowers because I trusted that she had it under control - and she did. MJ and DC Petal exceeded our expectations for our wedding day. We had so many guests compliment our flowers on the night of our wedding. Thank you again so much!
We enjoyed working with MJ! She was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. She even took the time to do a walk-through of our venue a few months before the wedding with our c...
aterers and planner, which wasn't required of her by any means but was very appreciated. She did a wonderful job with my bridal bouquet and centerpieces with very little guidance (not knowing much about flowers, I didn't really know what I wanted). I truly "left it up to the professional", and I was not disappointed! I would recommend MJ for floral services.
My fiancé and I decided to have a micro wedding with 6 week notice. MJ was incredible in planning and execution. She perfectly captured the moody autumn wedding we planned. She pre...
pared a bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, and decorated the table at a restaurant. I cannot recommend her enough!

essional and amazing to work with -- not to mention, our flowers were GORGEOUS. (I have a picture of one of the center pieces on my living room wall.) One of the best parts of my experience was MJ's ability to work with my budget. I had a tiny wedding, and wasn't able to afford some of those outrageous prices I saw while researching wedding florists. MJ's prices are more than fair -- and all the flower arrangements were beyond my expectations. If you're thinking about choosing MJ -- do it! You won't be disappointed.
MJ and her team are absolutely incredible! As a planning team we are always looking for vendors who can not only bring to life a vision but also communicate clearly and promptly le...
ading up to the big day. MJ did all of this and so much more.
Petal DC brought to life every single vision our couple had in mind. MJ took into account color specifications the bride had made and went above and beyond to create absolutely stunning handheld arrangements that could be transitioned to the reception space during reception time. Her flexibility when it came to the wedding day was integral in ensuring every detail was placed on-time and as the couple had imagined. We could not have imagined a more perfect floral artist to work with in the Northern Virginia area. We look forward to our next opportunity to work together with Petal DC and will absolutely recommend this team to future couples, friends, and family getting married in the DC Area!
I can't recommend Petal DC enough! I found MJ through social media and was impressed by the small operation. I asked for a very specific bridal bouquet and MJ delivered and made it...
even better than I imagined. I also loved how the calla lily boutonnieres and corsage turned out. For the ceremony, we got a beautiful garland made of greenery for the trellis. MJ was great to work with – very friendly and accommodating throughout the process and on the wedding day. Wedding flowers can be really expensive and I almost didn't have any but Petal DC was affordable and terrific quality.
