Pent Makeup and Hair

ural look and she nailed exactly what I was looking for and I felt like the perfect bride! She did different looks for me for my rehearsal/welcome event than from my wedding day which is perfect. It also lasted the entire evening. She also did the make up for my bridal party and they were all so happy with their look. Beyond the terrific job she did she was so sweet and I loved working with her. I highly recommend Pent no matter your hair type or skin color.

hing stayed perfectly in place all night, even after a lot of dancing. Pent is sweet, funny, easy to talk to, and made the whole process feel effortless. The makeup trial was a breeze, and she understood what I wanted so quickly. Her assistants also did an amazing job helping my bridesmaids look gorgeous. I’m so grateful to Pent and couldn’t recommend her more!

I wanted before the wedding. She is so professional and my make up and hair came out amazing. I felt so natural and like myself. Thank You so Much Pent. You are beyond beautiful, inside and out.

3. Unfortunately we had a family medical emergency where we had to reschedule our engagement photoshoot on short notice. Pent remained so empathetic and accommodating with rescheduling our HMU trial. She responded promptly to emails and texts, and was very helpful in explaining how to best prepare for our HMU sessions. On our engagement photoshoot day, Pent arrived on time despite the commute from Nyack to Poughkeepsie, NY. She was so precise, gentle, and swift in executing the warm, soft glam look I sought for a cozy autumn photoshoot with my fiance. You can just see the warmth of her handiwork glow through these engagement photos! I immediately knew then that she was the perfect HMUA for my wedding day in October 2024.   My wedding day in Poughkeepsie had three different ceremonies and a pretty jam-packed timeline. I had myself, five bridesmaids, the MOB, and the MOG all getting full hair and makeup sessions. Pent and her teammates Lisa and Jaewon arrived right on time and even finished ahead of schedule. Pent focused on my bridal hair and makeup, and Lisa and Jaewon did the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, and the groom's mom. I sought a more light pink and peach-toned soft glam makeup look and the whole team delivered incredible results. We all felt comfortable and beautiful that day. We were all so impressed with Pent and her team’s efficiency and expertise in styling thick Asian hair and working with women with East and Southeast Asian features. We cried a lot of happy tears that day and our makeup held up incredibly well even without touch-up services. I also loved the transitional hairstyle Pent gave me so I could wear my hair fully up during the day events and half-down during the evening reception. I highly recommend Pent and her magical services. She’ll make you feel like a Disney princess for all your special occasions!

as the right fit. She was kind, gentle and focused on very natural makeup look which was exactly what I wanted. On my wedding day they were early and kept us all on time for the day. I’ve never felt prettier than I did on my wedding day, and the makeup and hair stayed all day! Would highly recommend Pent and her team for your wedding! Loved working with her.

y products. Not only was Pent patient, but she went above and beyond by ensuring the products she used did not have the ingredient I was allergic to. She is also very intelligent - I have dry skin, and she emphasized to me to avoid using retinol the month of, which I use every night, as it could dry my skin more. Typically, my under eyes wrinkle with makeup, but I had absolutely no issue the day of. She also matched the example pictures I showed her on me - and she actually did better than them! I never wear my hair up because I hate how I look, but she truly did such an amazing job. Pent is wonderful - do not hesitate booking her.

y and reception. My hair even lasted for about a week. She also did an amazing job on the bridesmaids who got the style they wanted. I highly recommend her.

searching for an artist, it was really important to me to find someone experienced with Asian features who could create a style that complemented them and Pent absolutely delivered. I wanted a look that was natural but still polished enough for the wedding day. Having a trial to test run the look was really helpful, as it made me realize I wanted a bit more contour and a different hairstyle. Pent listened carefully to my feedback and on the day of, executed it perfectly. I felt beautiful but still like myself. My makeup lasted all day through heat, humidity, and even happy tears during the ceremony, thanks to her thoughtful touch-up kit. I would highly recommend Pent to anyone looking for a talented and caring makeup artist who really understands how to make you look and feel your best.

iewing on Instagram. From the first communication she was friendly, professional, and straightforward. She travelled to me for our trial which was huge and I loved the trial. She looked at photos I had saved to recreate the perfect makeup style I was looking for. She was honest and realistic about my goals in order to make me feel best. She found the most lightweight fake eyelashes for me to wear which were important as I don't like most of them. The day of the wedding herself and the other MUA she brought were great, friendly, and professional. She worked with my bridal party to make sure that they felt their best! I loved my hair and make up and my husband did too! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking (she did a great job on all my bridal party who were non-asian) especially Asian brides!

rings (hair and makeup started ~6am)! I also had a lot of flash pictures taken of me as the lighting was low at my venues- my makeup looked flawless! (see pics) As an Asian bride, I hunted for a makeup artist in Upstate NY who I felt I could trust. I have been in several weddings and they simply don't understand how to do makeup on Asian faces. Even more "luxury" HMUAs didn't have diverse portfolios in my area. In the end, I found Pent and it was 110% worth it to have her travel Upstate and for me to have to drive downstate to do the trial. I've actually had like 5 brides I know hire Pent for their wedding - she is truly a gem! (I am cross-posting this review to other sites)

day to day, so I had picked Pent after seeing that she specializes in natural beauty. And let me just say, she absolutely delivered! I felt gorgeous on my wedding day, and she nailed my hair and makeup. My bridesmaids likewise raved about their looks from Pent and her assistant Lisa. I would highly recommend Pent and can’t thank her enough for everything!

y mom/in law were telling me how much they loved their hair/makeup from Pent and her assistant! Pent and her assistant did such an amazing job with us! They were fast and efficient! I love everything they did!

all day. Could not recommend more!

our first meeting at the trial, Pent was incredibly friendly and created a stunning look that perfectly matched the vision I had for my wedding day. On the day of the wedding, she expertly applied my hair pieces and perfected my makeup. The best part is, my hair and makeup truly lasted the ENTIRE day. It was applied around 11am and survived until the party started winding down at 3am that evening!! Pent is so kind, talented, and professional! If you are looking for a hair and makeup artist, I cannot recommend her enough.

d very sweet. She is very attentive to our needs very early in the morning and accommodating. I appreciated how gentle she was with our face and hair given we don’t get our makeup and hair done often. We were blown away with the results and her skills were impressive based on her 7 years of artistry. If we ever have a fancy event, I will definitely book her again! Thank you again Pent! You are the BEST ❤️.

d do both hair + makeup, 2) had Asian clients + other complexions in their portfolio, and 3) could work with a large party. Her pricing is very reasonable and competitive. I was confident to book two trials with her: one in March 2024 (booked her shortly after), and one a week before my wedding in September 2024. I had 14 people get their hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding (not everyone got both services) and we finished well before schedule. Everyone felt their requests heard and any last-minute changes were accommodated, including my own. Her professionalism, passion, and attention to detail truly helped me feel confident on my wedding day. And YES - the hair/makeup stayed on ALL night. I’d love the chance to work with her again in any event.

y talented with both hair and makeup, and she's also a joy to work with. Pent is so friendly, nice, and easy to be around. She was the perfect person to have helping me get ready for my big day! She listened to what I wanted and totally delivered. I would highly recommend Pent, not just because of how wonderful of a makeup artist and hair stylist she is but because of how great it was to work with her, from start to finish.

nted. Pent took the time to understand my preferences. I booked Pent almost a year before my wedding and I've emailed her a few times with some questions and to book my trial. She was so responsive and helpful. My makeup looked flawless and lasted throughout the entire day, despite the heat and my oily skin. I did not even need to touch up my face because every time I checked the mirror, everything was still in place. I only had to touch up my lipstick throughout the day. I highly recommend Pent to anyone looking for a top-notch makeup artist for their special day!

at had both hair and makeup! I did 2 trials with Pent and she is just so willing to listen! Pent and her team absolutely crushed it! They did such an incredible job. They specialize in natural and soft glam for makeup and they delivered! All the girls loved their hair and makeup! I booked Pent to stay with us until the ceremony and she was doing hair and makeup touch ups on everyone right up until we lined up! Highly recommend Pent and her team to fulfill all your hair and makeup needs🤍

quite a few times with questions and concerns. She answered every single one of them so quickly and put all of my nerves and worries at ease! On the day of the wedding, she and Lisa arrived at the venue nice and early, and my girls and I were also early, and they were all ready to start! I was really stressed about finishing on time, but I had no reason to be stressed! We were ahead of schedule the entire morning. All of our hair and makeup looked fantastic and held up perfectly during my 90-degree outdoor wedding (and I was sweating!). I can't even come up with enough words to describe how great Pent is, and I will recommend her to anyone looking for hair and makeup!
