Instead, her staff delivered a series of serious failures: - Food was served cold in many cases. - The sweetheart table charcuterie sat out for hours and became inedible/unsafe. - Staff had to be repeatedly reminded to cut and serve the wedding cake—otherwise it would not have happened. We never got a single piece of our own cake. - Staff were observed openly eating from guest food and our cake. - Leftovers were consumed by staff; we received only stale breadsticks and wilted lettuce. - Numerous wedding favors (including lottery tickets placed at each seat) were stolen—confirmed by multiple guests who witnessed it. Only 103 guests attended, and 22 left early before food service began. That left 49 paid-for guests who never received a proper meal—equating to roughly $1,960 in undelivered food value (based on per-person pricing). Over 40 witnesses—including off-duty law enforcement officers, teachers, professors, business owners, retired military, church members, children, our photographers, and even the venue owners—corroborated every detail. When we raised these issues politely with Mishele, she dismissed our concerns, fully sided with her staff (despite not being present), and offered excuses rather than accountability. After stalling with excuses and sad stories, she stopped responding entirely—even after we reduced our request from the full $1,960 to just a $500 goodwill refund to put the matter behind us. This isn't an isolated bad day; her refusal to address legitimate complaints or make it right has caused significant additional stress, emotional distress, and family frustration during what should have been a happy newlywed period. We strongly advise any couple—especially brides planning their first wedding—to look elsewhere. Mishele's charm upfront does not match the reality of her service or her handling of problems. We regret not seeing the red flags sooner and will pursue full restitution through small claims court (including damages, stress-related harm, and attorney fees) if she continues to ignore us. On the wedding day, the owner did not attend and sent staff instead. We were told charcuterie would be reserved for the wedding party while we were taking photos — it was not. A decorative “R” meat and cheese display left on our sweetheart table sat out from about 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with no ice or temperature control, so it was unsafe to eat. Approximately 104 guests were served, leaving about 26 meals unaccounted for, yet some of our guests reported they never got food at all. The staff in charge never communicated with us. Multiple guests observed staff cooking food for themselves and eating in front of guests during the reception. My husband and I were never served our own wedding cake, even though it was sized to serve about 154 people. Guests witnessed staff eating both the catered food and our wedding cake. Guest favors, including jars and scratch-off lottery tickets, were also found near the catering vehicle with staff belongings. I contacted the owner the following day and spent months attempting to resolve the issue, but my calls eventually stopped being returned. We also received none of the leftovers we were promised. This was my wedding day, and the service fell far below professional standards. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.
