Passionflower Cakes

rrived on time, delivered the cake safely, and was very communicative.

ed her, but the cake was also delicious. Probably the best cake I have ever tasted! In my experience, it’s rare to have cake that both looks good and tastes good so I was very impressed. Her communication was also great, very timely and helpful! Highly recommend.

iple cake types and icings for each layer. The tasting box was easy to navigate and so much fun to try all the amazing flavors she offers. Paris walked us through all the flavors and combinations we were interested in, offering helpful suggestions throughout. She was flexible with delivery since our wedding was outdoors on a hot day but we still wanted it to be on display. She used flowers from our florist and recreated our vision perfectly. The final product beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend!

sting we picked up a box full of cake and icing samples so we could try all different flavors and combinations - honestly, that was probably the best part of wedding planning. All the cakes were delicious and we had trouble choosing between them because we wanted every flavor. We ended up going with lemon coconut for two of the tiers and almond for the top. When it came to the cake’s appearance, Paris was super helpful and sent example pictures of different frosting/decoration styles so we could communicate exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day, our cake arrived seamlessly at the venue. The cake turned out 100% perfect and even more beautiful than I had expected. It also tasted great and we received numerous compliments from guests!

the hardest part since every single cake, buttercream, and ganache combo were mouthwatering! We ended up having a red velvet cake with a amarena cherry buttercream!! Best combo we have had for a cake hands down. This was a huge crowd favorite and guests are still wishing they could have more. Passionflower Cakes was amazing from start to finish. She truly listened and absorbed every detail about our cake vision and made it reality. The attention to detail and steady hand while creating our cake design was truly seen in the final product. Set up the day of was flawless and we couldn’t have been happier with the final product. Thanks a million for your delicious and beautiful wedding cake! Hoping we are able to use your services in the future for other major events to follow. ❤️ The Benitez Family

mazing, Passionflower’s cakes really stood out (and were competitively priced as well!). We were able to choose three different cakes for each layer and all were delicious. Our wedding cake was beautiful and matched our vision perfectly. We full-heartedly recommend Passionflower Cakes!

my way, and offered other ideas to the designs that I wouldn't have thought of. Working with her was such a joy and she put me at ease knowing my wedding cake would be delivered and set up with ease, as well as the design being so full of everything I'd hope for. I would highly recommend Passionflower Cakes to those looking to support a local business.

n fair, while her ideas and willingness to step outside the box made her so much fun to work with! She made me so excited about the cake before we even really started planning things! The cake tasting was fabulous and Paris was more than eager to answer questions we had. After we picked our flavors, she just had everything under control. When it came to the day of our event, the cake seriously blew me away. It matched our vision perfectly, looked gorgeous, fit our theme, and tasted delicious. Thank you, Paris.

n for our cake and helped me get a better idea of what the final product might look like. We were blown away to see the final product we were arrived at our reception tent day-of. All of the details matched my vision exactly. And perhaps most importantly, the cake was absolutely delicious! Every texture was perfect, and each bite offered a new wonderful flavor. I would be happy to work with Passionflower again.

ng our cake. Responded quickly and was always willing to answer any question we had!

of nerdy emblems on to our cake that really represented us while also working with us on mixing up the cake so each tier was a different set of flavors. the cake was such a massive success and it filled our nerdy hearts so much that she did such an amazing job with the decorations.

utiful. And, of course, it was absolutely delicious! We did a smaller cake and several flavors of cupcakes because there were so many great flavors and we could not choose. I highly recommend Paris!

. We went with: Cookies & cream and devils food cake with white chocolate buttercream Strawberry & almond cane with vanilla bean buttercream The cake was such a hit! Thank you.

illing options. She was great to work with - very informative and willing to answer questions while we narrowed down our choices. We LOVED our cakes - all 3 flavors! We got the bourbon brownie (of course) with chocolate raspberry ganache and cream cheese fillings, the carrot cake with cinnamon ginger cream cheese filling, and the red velvet with cream cheese frosting inside and white chocolate frosting on the outside. Each one got rave reviews! My favorite was (predictably) the chocolate. My husband liked the carrot cake best until he got his hands on the red velvet, and then it was all over. Consensus was that they were some of the best cakes any of us had ever had. Would recommend Paris 100%!!

to the tasting, to the final execution, she made us feel incredibly well-supported with our extensive demands for our cutting cake and cupcakes. We had one small cutting cake topped with realistic sugar flowers to resemble the florals of our wedding. We also asked for four different cupcakes and butter cream pairings piped into the shape of four different flowers that we executed like a true master. We had to postpone our wedding three times and she worked through each postponement with us remaining supportive and confident that, no matter what, she would stay with us through all of the chaos! Everyone raved about our delicious cakes because, not only did they taste incredible they were absolutely GORGEOUS. Do not hesitate- reach out to Paris and let her make your experience just as magical and delicious!!

efinitely recommend hiring her!

Paris nailed our vision. We had two flavors and Paris was able to ensure all the flavors and tiers were perfectly coordinated. Would highly recommend working with Paris if you need a cake in the Charlottesville area.

decor, Paris's talent is beyond words. From start to finish, she is a joy to work with - you will not be disappointed!

ded on multiple flavors, she made them all work together AND tied our color palette in (lemon, vanilla and strawberry with a blueberry drizzle for our navy and white wedding). The cake decoration was just beautiful. Paris managed to give the cake a watercolor feel while still using bold blues and topped it with eucalyptus and anemones. It looked and tasted amazing. We are so glad we used Passionflower Cakes as our cake vendor!

etely lived up to the word "perfect"! I am extremely particular when it comes to buttercream frosting. I grew up next door to a German baker. Her buttercream was the best, until I met Paris's creations. I went to every top baker in Charlottesville, and stopped when I tasted what Paris brought to the table. From the tasting to the final presentation, complete perfection! My vision was created, and let me say the taste of the cakes were outstanding! Paris, you are beyond a 5 star.

the cake a little later during the reception because it was so hot on my wedding day. It definitely helped make my cake last a little longer. My cake was beautiful and very tasty. Many compliments were received. Would definitely recommend this cake decorator.

ssly to help build the theme of what we envisioned and she made sure the cake was delivered on-time, applied beautiful flower decorations on the cake, and made sure the cake was on the cake stand we designed and the cake topper was in place. David and I found it was also very important to support a local baker and ourselves and the wedding guest were humbly satisfied with the delicious tiered, half naked lemon cake with raspberry filling/icing. Yummy! I would highly recommend checking out Passionflower Cakes and consider this option as part of your special day.

pecialty gluten-free cupcakes. Everything was fantastic, plenty of compliments. I wish I could attach a photo! Don't look elsewhere for your wedding cake. The price was competitive as well.

d. She was patient and took the time to ask us questions to determine the size and style cake that was best for us. I had a few pictures of cakes I had found online that I liked, and she helped me narrow it down to one. She did an amazing job recreating the design and modifying it based on my preferences. We had so much fun tasting the different cake and filling combinations – they were all delicious! The chocolate bourbon brownie cake with dulce de leche and Nutella filling combination was to die for and we loved the confetti cake with strawberry filling too! Our cake looked beautiful and was sooooo delicious! It was seriously the best cake I’ve ever eaten. As soon as the cake was cut, the plates flew off the dessert table faster than I’ve ever seen at a wedding and many of our guests raved about the cake throughout the night. I 100% recommend Paris and Passionflower Cakes and am already trying to find a reason to order another cake from her soon!

and delicious. We had multiple guests say our wedding cake was the best that they ever had! We cannot wait until our first anniversary to taste it again!

essert person yet found her cake to be so good! Our wedding cake was beautiful and our guests raved about how good the cake and cupcakes were.

esented with many different types of cakes cut into bite size pieces and little ramekins of icings was incredible. I ended up picking flavor combos I may not have otherwise! My vision turned out even better than I could have imagined. Paris is truly an artist! We got so many compliments on the cake at the wedding. Would not hesitate to use her again or recommend her to anyone.

met flowers and is so sweet! The tasting was fun and of course, DELICIOUS! By far the best vendor we had.

d more. Everyone raved about how good the cupcakes and cutting cake were. Although we don't live in the Charlottesville area, we plan on stopping by on our way through next month just so we can bring some goodies home!

nd blackberry preserves. I never hear people talk about wedding cake but so many came up to me to tell me how delicious it was. Paris added dimension by adding gold leaf as well to go with our flower cascade. It was absolutely a gorgeous cake. Paris helped me design what I wanted and took the time to listen to me and get an idea of how I visioned my whole wedding. She was very accommodating with delivery and setting up of the cake. It was just a beautiful, stunning cake. Exactly what We wanted.

what we liked from her portfolio and created several beautiful ideas for us to consider. By the time we left that meeting, we had come up with a cake that we could not wait to see or taste. My husband and I handmade paper flowers for our centerpieces and Paris created beautifully intricate sugar flowers with our paper ones as the inspiration. The bourbon brownie batter and chai spice cake flavors that we chose were an absolute hit with our guests. The cake was beautiful and tasty and Paris was a dream to work with. I could not have asked for a better experience!

ul and artistic! We added a groom's cake later on, and she made it quirky and fun just like we wanted. It was very easy to work with her - she was responsive on email and we had no problems with delivery to our venue.

t meant us paying more money, but I think we got a ssignificantly better product and service. Paris was so incredibly nice and flexible throughout the process. I had a design in mind but when I went for the complimentary tasting (which was so good!) I thought about switching up my design completely. She didn't show any disappointment at these potentially drastic changes, even though she'd already made a sketch, an estimate, etc. She was so detail-oriented that she asked me to send pictures of mine and my brides maids dresses so she could match the fondant lace and lavender icing to them. She let us combine two different cake flavors and two different filling flavors for no extra charge--it was so delicious! I was worried about her delivering the cake on the day of, but I didn't even see her come or go, the cake looked beautiful they way she set it up! And she gave us a box to pack leftover slices.

cake, but she walked us through themes, designs, and flavors, and by the time we left, we were absolutely ecstatic about what she helped us dream up. She was easy to work with throughout the design process, and was quick to answer all of our questions. She even worked with our florist to use coordinating flowers for the cake! When my husband and I arrived at our ceremony, one of the first things everyone asked us was whether or not we had seen our cake yet- it was one of the most talked about aspects of our big day! We realized why when we saw it- it was absolutely stunning! And not to mention, absolutely delicious! I wish there was a six-star option- Paris was by far one of the best and most talented vendors we worked with, which is not an easy feat when you have a guest list over 300 people :)

ing to worry about (as far as the cake went anyway) on our wedding day.

o be perfect. On the day of Paris delivered not only a beautiful cake, but a delicious one. Our wedding was about 1 month ago and people are still talking about the cake!

mbinations. During our initial visit, she drew up a sketch (in color) to show us how things would look. Not only was she professional that day, but the professionalism continued throughout all of our interactions. I ended up emailing with her a handful of times back and forth, and she always had a timely response. At the last minute, I had to add additional cupcakes to my order- she said, 'no problem!' and made it happen. Paris arrived on time to the wedding and set up the cake and the cupcakes just as we had discussed. The display was beautiful- Paris made little flowers and leaves (edible) to go on the cupcakes (we had a tree-themed stand). And, last but not least.... they were DELICIOUS! Many of our guests wanted to know the name and contact of her for future use! We chose three different flavors of cupcakes- the guests raved about them all (yes, because many guests did go back for 3rds :)). There was no doubt that Passionflower cakes would get 5 stars from me- I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

s very creative and professional. She used my wedding dress lace as inspriation for the middle tier design. The cake tasted delicious and we recieved lots of compliments from wedding guests about it. We just celebrated our 1 month anniversary and even after being frozen for a month the top tier was fantastic! I highly recommend Passionflowers Cakes to anyone! Thank you Paris!!!
