I feel like I CANNOT say enough about Mr. & Mrs. Parkes. DJOP was an essential part of making our wedding flow seamlessly. We got so many compliments on him! He kept the energy high and fun, but also made the reception feel intimate and personal. I am confident we would never have gotten such personalized, detailed service with a larger entertainment company. Parkes Ent. was highly professional and easy to speak with from day one, and easy to keep in touch with to ask questions when needed. DJOP has "song games" built into his itinerary for the evening- they are totally optional (the entire music program is customizable) but we did them, and everyone LOVED them. Photo challenge had everybody in STITCHES. Mrs. Toni acted as an organizer throughout the evening to keep things flowing with zero hiccups- they make a great team! We literally gave them both big hugs by the end of the night. They vibed so well with our families & we were sad to say goodbye to them by the end! Just a delight to work with from start to finish. Book them!!!

- Toni ParkesCo-OwnerToni has been the brains behind the operation for some time now. She works closely with the wedding planner/day-of coordinator to make sure I get up-to-date information throughout the night (announcements, last-minute changes, etc), She focuses on the logistics, while I focus on the music. In other words, she's my wife, and she tells me what to do.
- Omar Parkes aka DJ O.POwnerI was born and raised in Bloomfield, CT. I am a first-generation American with Jamaican roots on both sides of my family. I have a lifelong passion for all kinds of music which gives me a unique perspective on how to entertain diverse crowds. Parkes Entertainment is a family business. My wife handles most of the wedding consultations, my 2 sons provide the manpower for lifting heavy equipment, I do all the DJing and my daughter and granddaughter spend all of our profits :-) Weddings are our favorite event to do because we love, LOVE!
- Nathan ParkesAssistantNathan, my oldest son, is the muscle. You can find him lifting heavy equipment, taping up wires, etc. He is more present in non-wedding events, but he makes rare appearances sometimes.
- Anthony ParkesAssistantAnthony is my youngest son. He is muscle #2. His appearance at weddings is even more rare than his older brother's (as they get older, their time becomes increasingly more expensive). But he is just as helpful with the equipment and organization of things.

I had Parkes Entertainment at my wedding on April 26, 2026, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. From my very first message, Omar was responsive, professional, an...
d thorough in answering all of my questions. He provided a well-organized information sheet that made planning the music and MC announcements simple and stress-free.
The week before the wedding, we met to go over our ideas, which really helped bring everything together. On the day of, Omar and his wife Toni arrived on time and created the perfect atmosphere for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Omar kept the energy high and had guests of all ages on the dance floor all night. He was also flexible and quick to adjust the music if needed, making sure everything flowed seamlessly.
I would highly recommend Parkes Entertainment for any wedding or event.

On the day of our wedding, our city was hit with the biggest snowstorm, and as a worried bride, I reached out to Omar. Once again, he provided so much comfort and reassurance—letting me know that if we were showing up, so was he.
Thanks to Omar, the party never skipped a beat. His emceeing was incredible, our guests had an amazing time, and so did we. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire Omar again for any future DJ needs.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Omar as our wedding DJ, and we can’t recommend him highly enough! Our theme was a unique one — a United Nations Day party — and he nailed it....
From the diverse music selection that had guests from all over the world dancing, to the seamless transitions between genres and cultures, he made everyone feel included and celebrated.
What truly stood out, beyond the amazing music, was his calm and professional presence. Weddings can be chaotic at times, but Omar brought a steady, positive energy that kept the vibe just right all evening. He was incredibly easy to work with, punctual, prepared, and totally in sync with the tone we were going for.
We love Omar!!

Omar is the man. His communication was detailed, consistent and timely. The wedding process can be stressful at times but if you go with Omar, one thing you won’t have to worry abo...
ut is the music or MC. The biggest thing we appreciated about Omar was his ability to read the room. Whether it’s telling guests cocktail hour is open or directing everyone to hit the dance floor, Omar has it covered.
He also has a wide range of music from classical ceremony music to pop hits to hip hop to reggae. Whatever your musical taste is, Omar knows how to mix it. Not only can he mix it, he can tell what the people are feeling and stay in that lane to keep the party going.
So if you’re looking for someone experienced and easy to coordinate with, look no further.
