About this vendor
Opoku Empire is a wedding planning business based in Washington, DC. A natural organizer and lover of bringing people together, Efua Opoku is the founder and owner of the company.
Efua began her event-planning journey organically; her friends and family anointed her as the one to organize all of their gatherings. She realized her gift of collaborating to create lasting memories and began coordinating diaspora-focused events in the local community. The Opoku Empire was born, and from there, Efua progressed into planning and directing weddings, fashion shows, and large-scale festivals throughout the DMV area.
Efua will consult with you initially to hear your creative ideas and offer planning tips while organizing an event team best suited to your wedding. Opoku Empire offers a complete planning service from design to logistics. The team will strictly adhere to your budget, sourcing your dream venue and matching it with the best local vendors. If you wish for partial planning, Opoku Empire is happy to oblige. They will help coordinate rehearsals and oversee timelines to ensure the ceremony and reception run smoothly.
