About this vendor
One Five Six Four Entertainment
One Five Six Four Entertainment was founded in 2009 by husband and wife team, Jared and Ashley Thompson. Since then, flagship bands Midtown 10 (formerly IDT Band) and Empire 6 have performed for hundreds of weddings, corporate events, galas, and fundraisers. They are known among clients and event planners for attracting the industry’s most phenomenal vocalists, setting trends in creative and immersive production, and staying firmly committed to quality, relevance, and good taste.
Midtown 10 (formerly IDT Band)
Midtown 10 combines the raw energy of a live band with all the drops, builds, loops, and craziness of a DJ. Midtown 10 seamlessly weaves brass, with thumping bass and drums, killer vocals, and soaring guitar solos with styles such as EDM, hip-hop, electro-pop, and more. With over 14 years of experience performing nationally and internationally, Midtown 10 has shared its unique style with thousands of crowds, and has set a new bar for how much fun you can have with a party band. As Lizzie McGuire once said: This is what dreams are made of.
Empire 6
The reigning queen of party bands! Modeled after its older brother, Midtown 10, Empire 6 has continued to refresh and redefine the party band experience with its style, charm, and eclectic song selection. Known for powerhouse vocals, total crowd engagement, and larger-than-life performance, Empire 6 brings the experience of a national touring act to the small stage and has been one of the most sought-after party bands in the Southwest since 2012.
What’s The Difference?
A very common question is “What is the difference between Midtown 10 and Empire 6” The short answer is “there isn’t one.” Midtown 10 is the original band that started it all in 2009. Thankfully, because of the success and demand for the band, we were able to duplicate the formula that was proven to work, and Empire 6 was created in 2012. While some entertainment companies produce several (or infinite) versions of the same band, we elected to give Empire 6 its own identity. They immediately matched pace with Midtown 10, and both bands have now performed hundreds of events followed by rave reviews. Both bands are produced and styled identically, sharing the same song list, choreography, mashups, and even the same amazing sound production and programmed lighting.

We just had Empire 6 perform at our daughter’s wedding reception and they were incredible! Kept the dance floor packed all night and everyone was telling us how much fun they had. ...
Talented singers and musicians who went above and beyond to make our wedding great!!
The Ashley Austin Band was the best decision we made for our wedding. Our wedding was almost three months ago and my guests are STILL talking about how amazing this band was. The b...
and was easy to communicate with, learned our first dance song, and executed the night flawlessly. Dancing up on stage and singing our last song (“Friends in Low Places”) was honestly my favorite memory of the reception. We looked at other bands but were blown away by this band when we saw them at a wedding. Their song list is one of the main reasons we chose this band. Their list is extensive, from today’s hits, country, and general crowd pleasers, we knew there would be a song for all of our guests to dance too. You know it’s a sign of a great band when the dance floor was NEVER empty for over two hours. I seriously cannot recommend this band enough. Whether you go with IDT, 1564, or Ashley Austin, you will have the best time.
My fiancé and I saw IDT Band at a wedding in Dallas, and even though we weren’t even engaged yet, we both knew that’s who we wanted to play at our wedding. When we asked if they’d ...
travel to Atlanta for our wedding, they of course said yes and made literally all of our dreams come true. EVERYONE and I mean everyone came up to us and asked about the band and said how incredible they were. IDT is fantastic, and I honestly hope more people hire them just so I can hear their talent!
IDT made our wedding sooo amazing! This band is insanely talented and got everyone to the dance floor! They have the most infectious energy and you just can't help but smile and h...
ave a great time when they play! Their song list is extensive and really caters to all age groups. They recently performed at our wedding and all of our guests were raving about how incredible they were! My only regret is that we didn't book them to play for longer!! You will absolutely not regret booking this band! I am dying to plan another event just so they can perform again! HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend!
This is your sign to hire IDT band!!! Hiring IDT was easily THE BEST decision we made for our wedding! All our guests are still talking about how amazing and fun they were to this ...
day! We were just blown away by the talent, the details, and the energy they brought. We went to their complimentary showcase to see how they perform and fell in love then and then hired them. But on the big day - their energy was next level. There were even outfit changes!! One of our favorite moments was when the band got off the stage and played music and danced with the guests. They were so interactive and fun. They also learned to play our first dance song which we loved. I can't praise them enough. Go to a showcase and see their awesomeness for yourself. The videos online don't do them justice! Also - a must to hear the band and Mike perform Bohemian Rhapsody!
IDT kept everyone (of all ages) out on the dance floor all night long. They brought great energy! They were also very professional and easy to work with. Can’t say enough good thin...

ere's anything you need, I would recommend speaking to her. The entire band had great moves, the lights and production were more than what I expected, I would hire them every time!
Worth every single dollar! The most fun band to have at any event. Guaranteed to have everyone on the dance floor.

tly gotten engaged I made my fiance go and ask for their card. When it was time to start looking at bands for our wedding, IDT immediately came to mind. We had gone and listened to several other bands and none of them seemed to have exactly what we were looking for (outfits, energy, swag, vocals, dance moves, all of the above) like IDT did.
IDT was phenomenal. All of our guests are still talking about how amazing they were and how packed our dance floor was ALL night. They kept the energy going and everyone had the time of their lives out there dancing. They over delivered and were such an easy group to coordinate/work with. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our decision and would recommend them to anyone !!
We used Empire6 Band for our wedding and it was the best possible decision we could have made! We chose the continuous play package and Empire 6 had my entire reception out on the ...
dance floor for the whole night without stopping! I still get comments to this day that Empire 6 was the best wedding band my guests have ever heard. They played incredible songs and were all so talented! We loved how they learned 2 new songs for my Husband and I and that they included us up on stage with them throughout the night. I HIGHLY recommend empire 6 to ensure you have a great party atmosphere!
IDT Band is, without a shred of doubt, the most talented, accommodating and energetic band we've ever known. Our day was planned for 13months leading up to the event and the band w...
as one of the first contracts we signed... from that point forward the level of professionalism and consistent communication were top notch. They helped us customize our day, drive musciality throughout the evening with ease - from ceremony to happy hour though dinner to dancing - and now all of our guests are obsessed!... wanting to book them for their wedding, birthdays and general shin-digs. I truly hope there's another day we can work with IDT... I will recommend them every chance I get. Thank you to Mike and the crew!!!! So much love.
Empire 6 were absolutely awesome. They had clearly performed at weddings before, and knew how to keep the flow of the evening going. They knew what songs to play when, and kept o...

o one left the floor all night! They played a great variety of music, and kept the crowd engaged from start to finish. We had so many people ask who they were and say that they were amazing. Definitely spring for the continuous play option so that the fun never slows down! Many thanks to Empire 6 for a perfect night!

dding reception. We opted for continuous play, and I can tell that the dance floor was literally packed the entire night, and our guests, without exception, raved about the music and how they had danced more than they had ever danced in their lives.
Empire 6 is a very talented group and were extremely professional in every aspect from start to finish. If you want a fun wedding, you need a really top band, and you can't do any better than Empire 6!
What superlatives can I possibly use to describe Empire 6, who played at our daughter’s New Orleans wedding last weekend?? Immensely talented, energetic, enthusiastic, polished, ...
professional, hard working,...just to name a few. From the minute the band started, the dance floor was filled to capacity, playing a range of dance music sure to please every age group. The energy in the ballroom was off the charts, with 300+ guests singing along and dancing throughout the 3 hours of continuous play. If you’re looking for a top notch wedding band, look no further. Empire 6 was FANTASTIC!! Mike Duane, who handles their arrangements was the consummate professional who handled the booking process and worked with us throughout the process.
Thank you, Empire 6!! I wish I could relive the whole night all over. You were the BEST

our guests talking! The BEST part for us was IDT learning the mother/groom dance song. Our son loves Tom Petty, and we found an acoustic version of "Learning to Fly", and asked if the band could do it. Wow, is all we can say. They truly delivered! Beautiful and fun fun fun night! If we had another wedding we would hire them in a heartbeat!

e entire night and they even let my husband and I on stage to sing along to a couple songs :) a band at our wedding was our #1 priority and they exceeded every expectation. Thank you IDT band for making it the best night of our lives!!!
Hiring Empire Six Band was the best decision my husband and I could have made for our wedding. We originally we're going back and forth between hiring a DJ vs. band because most ba...
nds are limited to a certain genre of music or a certain era of music. Empire Six can DO IT ALL from hip hop, to 90's pop, to today's hits, to R&B, to country, and to jazz music (and I am sure more)! The band is super high energy, very entertaining, and our guests absolutely loved their experience. Several people have mentioned it was better than going to a concert. Empire Six made our wedding, and we would hire again 1000% and / or recommend to a friend. Thanks Empire Six!!
IDT Band played at our wedding and they were incredible! They've got a ton of energy and all the songs sounded like we were listening to the original artists. Don't even keep looki...

Empire 6 is absolutely incredible!! I heard them at a wedding in September and KNEW I had to hire them for mine! Jared and Travis were so accommodating and helpful from the start. ...
They really listened to what kind of music we wanted and we couldn't have been happier!!
Empire 6 did an amazing job at our wedding! So many people asking for their name at the end of the night! The dancefloor stayed full literally all night, even through DJed breaks (...
great selections there). Very responsive and so fun! Ashley told us at end of the night it was the most people she’d seen stay until the end of the night and out on the floor - and that’s all because of their talent and awesome music. Trust Empire 6 and celebrate your wedding with them! We’ve heard them three times and they do not disappoint. They play everything and please everyone.
Empire 6 needs their own website. The staff at the Crescent Court Hotel, Dallas, or our wedding planner, Hitched Events, had never heard of them. They were hired to play at my daug...
hter's wedding, and the blew the doors off the place. They are the BEST band, and that came from the staff at the Crescent and our wedding planner. They were so surprised they had never heard of them. I cannot tell you how awesome these guys were. The singers (girl/guy) were remarkable, they had 3 horns, drums, guitar, staging was awesome! They even played horns leading out all the way through the sparklers as my daughter and her new husband walked through. I got more compliments on the band than anything. No one sat down. They vocals were, honestly, perfection. Everything about this band is out of this world. Hire them for your wedding because it will be the best night, and they have so much to do with the success of the whole wedding reception. If you find Empire 6 and can watch any of their videos, they are the real deal.
BOOK THIS BAND NOW! I am not kidding when I say every guest at our wedding said how amazing our band was. Even guests who didn’t hit the dance floor! From the dinner set all the...
way until the end of the night, IDT kept it rocking all night long and always played perfectly to the crowd. Working with their manager, Travis was a breeze and he was so responsive via e-mail and phone. As a bride, communication is key to making you feel good about things. The band members were so talented and interacted with the crowd which people loved. The lead singer was also great at making announcements to keep things on track throughout the night. Look no further, you need IDT to play at your wedding!

ight. Not only are they awesome at getting and keeping your party going, but they are so easy to work with! Very accommodating to songs we had chosen and to working with our schedule. Already wondering what next big party we can throw so we can get them back out to play for us - until then, see you at BBC!

ut the band. There were multiple times I thought I was listening to a recording, they are that good. It was like we were at a concert. The dance floor was packed--total shock because our families do not dance.
They are so professional, easy to work with and very helpful. They took our venue, personal style and favorite songs into consideration and delivered. This is a very talented group and you will not be sorry.

xcellent about getting a feel for what we were looking for and wanting to hear. We didn't have many suggestions because we love all types of music and that is exactly what they have to offer. The guest were dancing all night long from country, to 90s pop, to today's hits. They band was VERY reasonably priced too which made it all the more better. I was expecting to hear or "special" songs DJ but they surprised us by actually SINGING them live. I cannot say enough good things about them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I think this is my first wedding review to write, but I just wanted to say that these guys were everything and more! Super easy to work with and just a blast. Travis was so profess...
ional and responsive and the whole band was a ton of fun. We searched high and low for bands and finally settled on Empire 6. It was really my favorite decision of our wedding, and I would highly recommend them if you are hoping to have everyone on the dance floor until the end of the night! Also, we used them in 2014(the date next to my name says 2007??)
